This is a great spot to help make a house a home. My girls love playing tea so I found a beautiful ceramic tea pot. They had some really great finds in here. What I really liked the most is the red tagged clearance items I spotted. I personally got what I came there for that recently broke in my kitchen for a decent price. Definitely better than paying full price at Target, bed and beyond, or Amazon. No share to those stores but I truly enjoy my experience while roaming around. If merchandise purchased online and safely used visa credit card via Paypal, Store will ONLY give a store credit and not refund back to Paypal even when returned just a few days after receiving and with receipt. There should be a conspicuous popup at least twice before payment when ordering notifying consumers of this practice to provide refund and only store credit. 2). For items purchased in the store, if you lose the receipt, you may be told we can't find the item number in our system so cannot honor the store credit policy even though item in new condition with tag. read more

One of my hobbies - passion, will you - is spending an unprecedented amount of time in Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Home Goods. I haven't been since covid shutdowns, and with a new office desk purchase, I was ready to shop-til-I-drop for home furnishings and decor. This was my first experience in a store, outside of purchasing groceries. I was thrilled to see the efforts this store is making to keep us safe: - an employee at the front counting the number of guests coming and out - an employee monitoring the cart area and wiping each one down - faux 'walls' separating each checkout register - all employees in masks - directional squares on the floor and in line This location has always had great selections, though there are currently slimmer pickings because of the abrupt closing, sales and busy re-opening. Turns out, you can even get contactless home delivery for bigger pieces of furniture. The staff here were amazing and helpful, following safety guidelines and all. Some of the people shopping there? This Marshall's is decent. It's clean and organized pretty well. The selections are okay. It's not big compared to other ones. Most things are decently priced. I go here because it's the closest to me. I have found great deals on clothing and shoes here but would have liked more options to choose from. The cashiers are almost always friendly which makes a big difference considering I prefer other locations due to variety of selections. **The hours for Sundays show it opens at 10 AM online but it opens at 11 AM! read more

This Marshalls is located right next to HomeGoods and has your typical clothing, home decor, furniture, kitchen items, beauty section, shoes section, and kids. I was a bit surprised that they had an extensive selection in yoga pants, as usually the active gear is a bit lacking! The kitchen and the home decor aisles were a bit in disarray, especially on the clearance shelves. I found a cute notebook and a greeting card on clearance, so I was pretty happy about that. This Marshalls is pretty filthy. Opened boxes of cosmetics and skincare, similar or "like" products found all over the store. It's not the fault of the team working there. They seem to be understaffed most of the time. The lack cleanliness and disorganization of this store falls on management. It's obviously not a priority to management so why should it be to the team? Otherwise, staff members do try their best to help. This place is well stocked, but everything is always opened or carelessly put around that it's hard to find. read more

Over the years I've come back here countless times. They have a good selection of product, the employees on register are fast friendly and efficient. The fitting rooms are usually open. I like their workout clothes :) I got quite a few workout leggings and workout shorts from them at very reasonable prices! There was one particular shirt I LOVED and I got 4 of the same shirt in different colors! Wish there were more colors so I could get more of the same shirt :) lol They have a decent shoe and clothes selection and cute kids clothes as well as toys that are less expensive than online or at other stores. However other Marshall's locations have better selections. Like the ones in Mira Mesa and Farmington. Those are better :) but I enjoy this store so 4 stars! read more

Okay, I'll tell you my secret: Despite what everyone else think, I really don't pay full price for my designer clothes. And I know it's overly passe to be fawning over designers, but if and when you work in DC for one of those hoity-toity firms and you are Washingtonianly ambitious, you gotta dress the part to own the part. Okay, so it's not really an academic text, but it's so funny and so true if you've been in the workforce for as long as I have been (half a decade is long enough, thank you!). Anyways, back to the designer. So with all the stores in DC, Georgetown and whatnot, I just don't have it in my genes to pay $100 for a skirt (thanks, mom!). Besides, we're not talking haute couture here where fads go as fast as Britney Spears headlines. We're talking about classic looks: white or solid color tops and dark or black skirts/pants, suits with classic -- not matronly -- lines. And where do I go? Marshalls. Yes, Marshalls. I know you just wrinkled your nose at the thought as you mumbled, "my grandmother shops there." Well, Gran was a smart woman to begin with. The prices are ridiculously low, sometimes about 75%-90% markdown from the original designer costs. If you're not sold on that, just think: Come Monday when you're passing by that brown-noser from Accounting and she turns and says "Cute skirt!", wouldn't it just so gratifying to say "It's Michael Kors" and giggle at the thought that you only shelled out $10 for it? read more

As the rating tag says, I've experienced better as far as Marshall's goes. As a disclaimer, I don't care much for Marshall's in general; it's pretty much a less impressive version of Gabe's, somewhere I'd only go if there were no Gabe's near me. I come in here when I'm bored and in the shopping center, just to see if I might come across something I like, but most of the time, I'm expectedly disappointed. The clothes are usually unattractive and overpriced for what they are. I get it, you're paying for brand. But do the brands all have to be the ugly ones? That said, this particular location leaves a little more to be desired. Though I rarely have to stand in line long if I do buy something, the staff isn't very friendly or personable, you get a real 'Give me your money, now leave. Next.' vibe. They also tend to troll around the departments putting things away and keeping the racks orderly, but they're often in loud conversation with each other, which is irritating. Hopefully the TJ Maxx will be a little more pleasant, although I doubt the selection will be, seeing as they're basically sister stores. read more

Don't bother asking for a manager if you need one. Disorganized shelves or non-ticketed items are what seem to haunt me there. The last straw was when I found a Versace Dylan Blue shower gel that was ticketed the way the cologne should have been....not the shower gel. The Marshalls sticker said it was $39.99. The shower gel actually retails for $39. The cologne, however, retails for about what the "compare at" price was ($67). I explained the issue to two people. The second associate literally said "so you want us to change the price because other places have a different price"...WTF...noooo...That would be price matching...I'm talking about having the wrong label on this item. Called corporate and they were no better. Was told the price is what the price is. So now you're trying to charge me more than what the item retails for and practically refusing to find or print the right sticker. 15 minutes and no manager later, I left. The Annapolis location will be my new go-to. read more

This Marshall's doesn't have the best selection of shoes or women's clothing in my opinion, but their beauty and makeup selection is great and my husband loves their workout gear. Apparently their service is downgrading. Went there yesterday and had a bad experience with the store manager and also the cashier. Their faces were new to me as I have lived in this area for almost 8 years. The worst manager I have ever seen. Even the newly hired cashier was not trained - embarrassed as she is apparently a young woman but is having no common sense. I, myself, am deaf and apparently cannot speak... I had asked them to write down what they wanted to say to me but they were still speaking in front of me. They repeated themselves obviously. The terrible thing about the store manager was - she would not even look at me eye by eye - she kept looking down on the counter. Wow. Anytime in the future, I will fill a complaint at DOJ if I encounter another bad experience again. No kidding. Enough is enough. read more

This is my neighborhood location!! This Marshalls is consistent! I can always find something, whether I'm looking for it or not! On my recent visit, I went in for shoes for my daughter, came out empty handed for her, but came out with 2 pair for myself! Crazy! This location has a wide variety of shoe options for children. Love that! In the morning hours, the store is less busy! It is fairly neat and orderly for a Marshalls and the employees are usually helpful in the store especially if you need help! They are nice at the register as well!! The line moves fairly fast even during busy times!! One of my favorite locations to go to!! read more

I love Marshalls in general. This location has decent apparel that I cannot find at my local one. This one seems to have the more pricey items which means higher quality ( most of the times). The problem that I do have at this location there always seem to be long lines. This makes the shopping experience just ok for me. I have found a top that I wanted to purchase and the lines have made leave that top behind knowing I will probably never get the chance to see it again. I love this Marshalls. It has the upscale designer labels that not all of the Marshalls carry. Besides Christmas time, there is always a great selection and even though the lines can get long, they move along efficiently (think Chipotle). I also love the lighting in their newly remodeled fitting rooms. It actually makes you look decent! Oh, I get my salon quality shampoo and conditioner here too. $8 for something that Ulta sells for $25? Yes please! When you're done clothes shopping, go next door to Home Goods...I could live in these two stores!!! read more

Yes, I'm a Marshalls Fan, shhhh! As Kaya said, I just can't stomach paying a huge amount of money for each piece of clothing, especially because I like to change it up and have a variety of different looks. Recently I bought a gorgeous leather purse by B Makowsky that normally sells for about $250 and it was on sale for $65!!! Seriously! Shopping at Marshalls does take some time and I do not like to shop for long but you want to set aside a good hour at least to go through the racks. They also get in new pieces regularly. I LOVE this Marshalls! First of all, its in the same shopping center as Chikfila, Hallmark, Caribou Coffee, and Homegoods. Talk about guilty pleasures. Also, its a super Marshalls because it has a huge shoe section and huge handbag section. Since it's in the oh-so-WASPY community of Crofton, it really doesn't carry many questionable brands. Mainly Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, BCBG, Jessica Simpson, etc. I did all my holiday shopping here- the Mens section was stocked. Never again will I pay retail for Polo or Nautica mens clothing-- Marshalls is the only place I will go! Happy shopping to all! read more

Today the weather was unbearable! I noticed marshalls nearby so I went in for a change of clothes since Im far from home and couldn't change clothes. After trying out different clothes and enjoying small talk with a fitting room attendant I asked if I could wear my outfit to the register. She replied with "yes" and mentioned that she gave the front a heads up. To not worry about it. That it was okay. I "asked" first because I didn't want any problems. I was happy because I didn't want to go back and forth to change. I go to register 2 and I wasn't even greeted and the lady beside the cashier didn't even introduce herself to let me know who she was. I wasn't sure if she was a manager or another random employee possibly training the cashier in front of me. I explained to her that I made sure to ask the fitting room attendant if it was okay to wear the outfit and then pay. That I wouldn't have mind to pay first and then change. Instead of being kind and discreet about the situation she made me look like I had insufficient funds and potential fraud!! I was very upset with her "customer service". I try to ignore and not write bad reviews often but I couldn't get this BAD experience off my mind all day. Only reason I gave this location two stars was because of amazing customer service I received ONLY from the fitting room attendant. She was probably new and had no idea she couldn't let customers change without pay first. But, at least she knew how to help a customer feel welcomed! Smh. read more

I used to love this store, and would see it as a treat to got to this particular Marshalls on my down time, but after 7/1/13, me thinks not. I took my friend to this particular store to find some home decor ideas for her home because I know there is quality goods at this location that are fully stocked. As soon as we walked in the store, an employee started on the loud speaker, "Security sweep the entire floor, I repeat, Security sweep the entire floor!". We looked at each other like, "Huh!?" But continued on how way the back of the store where the pillows and decorations were. Immediately, we had 2 employees, one name-tagged short Asian-looking female employee "fixing things" all of a sudden and another "Apparent loss-prevention guy" checking out flowers in the same area we were looking at decorations. Once I found my set of flowers, we moved to the next isle. Once we moved into the next isle to find a large dish, we ran into a nice Caucasian lady who was trying to reach some plates. Before we could help, she ended up making a whole bunch of things fall from the top of the isle. Like a flash, the employees that were stalking us in the previous isle came running into the isle, and the Asian employe began acting like she was fixing some frames that were laying on the side of the column. I began to tell her that I knew she wasn't fixing anything, because instead of helping the lady pick up the things from the floor like we did, she just hoovered in the isle and watched us from afar. Once my girlfriend saw this, she and I both figured that the employees at this Marshalls store thought we were going to steal. So we headed out the isle towards the check out, totally disgusted. Before we could even get out of the isle, another white, male loss prevention guy came running with a shoe box in his hand and stood at the end of the plate isle like there was a real dining set emergency. After this, we were done! I picked up two items that I came to purchase and my girlfriend bought her plate. As we were at the checkout, we could see more employees coming towards us, and headed towards the isle that they thought the "perpetrators" were in. We looked at each other and marveled at the sheer stupidity of the employees behavior. Following two Black females (yes, we're black) in the store as if we called and scheduled to pilfer goods from anyone is beyond ignorant. We will not be returning to this Marshalls. P.S.: My friend is a sworn officer of a local Police department and will be informing her peers of the treatment she received while in the Crofton/Gambrills Marshalls. read more
