I love to browse Nordstrom Rack, because odds are, I'm going to always find something. Gifts, items for myself, accessories, beauty products, any and everything you can think of, can usually be found. The staff is always pleasant and the products are always neatly displayed. Great store to come to during the holidays because they have tons of prepackaged gifts and great trinkets for stocking stuffers. All and all, a great location! read more

A large variety of items - more women than men but that's okay - plenty of stuff for guys too. Store is well maintained, some good discounts but others are not "rack or clearance" priced. Grateful this Nordstrom is still here. They have nice shoes and bag selection. Socks are another good thing to buy here. I bought some good beach shoes and nicer boxers than I thought I would find there. Easy fitting room policy with people there to help. They clear it immediately and returned it to stock for me. This location remains highly regarded in my opinion. The cashiers are speedy and friendly. The bathrooms are nice and orderly. The parking lot is accessible and never packed. They do a great job of catering to their demographic with a bit more designer handbags, sunglasses, wallets, watches, and shoes than other locations in the area. The clearance section can be a bit of a mess at times, but you'll always find something if you're willing to go through it! read more

I really enjoy this Nordstrom Rack. You can score some awesome deals and you will find stuff you didn't even know you wanted! Talk about dangerous. I come in here knowing time will be spent browsing each area at leisure. There is no way I could shop here in a rush, that would be a let down! I purchased a pair of Adidas shoes but the sensor was left on. When I returned to the store to get it removed, I showed the cashier my receipt and the item. The cashier proceeded to tell me that my receipt was for a size 2 when in reality, the name of the shoe that I purchased was called Grand Court 2.0. I had him check the item number and showed him how it matched the receipt. Instead of apologizing for the mistake, he said "I'll let it slide because I have a line" as if I had done something wrong and that he was going to let me break the rules. It gave the impression that he believed that I was stealing. I am very offended by this and will no longer visit this location. read more

I love coming here to find deals on designer items. Sometimes I come in and leave with bags full of goodies... today I found nothing :(. But, such is life! I still like browsing! This store is very clean and well organized. They carry brands such as Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Coach, Sperry, Betsey Johnson, Topshop, Northface, Hunter, Tom's, Tory Burch, Nike, Ralph Lauren, and much more! I was surprised when I came in today that they had an entire rack of Alex and Ani bracelets... never seen those at a "discount" store before! Today, they had a lot of new spring arrivals in. Bottom Line: Deals to be found if you can tolerate the awful service. This is definitely the worst Nordstrom anything I've been to. The store was decently organize and of course there are good deals to be had, but I really can't get past the employees horsing around in the dressing room and the employees whispering and gossiping at the register while I am checking out (not even taking a break to interact with me during my transaction). I used to go to Nordstrom Rack at least once a month but with this location being the closest to my new home, I think it will be a once a year event now. This is deff the best rack location I've been to in MD. I mainly come for accessories (they always have Marc by Marc) and kate spade! Also, I tend to grab everyday fun flowly tops and great jeans!! I prefer Hautelook to Nordstrom Rack as you are more likely to find good sales on higher end products on the flash sale app. However, I like the convenience of Nordstrom Rack accepting returns. I purchased a pair of UR Powered suede gloves from a different NR location and upon wearing them once, found that the seam on the top of my gloves had come apart. (Mind you, my hands are thin so it isn't a case of trying to force my way into them. The left glove was fine). I called this location to verify I would be able to exchange the defect gloves for the same pair (if inventory allowed) or exchange them for a merchandise credit if I could not find anything in the store at that time. The manager said yes if you have the receipt (which I did, and the purchase was not even a week old), and that it shouldn't be a problem but returns cannot be guaranteed over the phone. I explained to them that I was going out of my distance, and they reconfirmed it shouldn't be a problem. I get there; they don't have my gloves which I was bummed about bc I really loved the gloves. So I pick a different pair, take it to the register. The associate puts in the SKU and then says they can't find them. She then states that they do not sell my gloves in Nordstrom. It appears that the brand is Lord & Taylor not a Nordstrom brand. However, I know this isn't true because again, I have the receipt. The manager (Mary I think) then speaks to me in a way that insinuates that I stole the gloves or am attempting to return gloves I got from Lord & Taylor to NR. Then basically absolves herself of the whole conundrum. I have not in my twenty nine years ever experienced a ruder manager. There were literally a million other ways she could have handled the situation with grace and care. IE, I had the receipt to the other store on hand, call that store, verify the transaction and the look of the gloves. Two, after I collected myself and refrained from knocking over everything in the damn store like I wanted, I was able to bring up my phone to research and noted that UR Powered was the actual brand (the right glove had this tag on it, and the left one happened to have a L&T tag) and that Lord & Taylor was one of the many stores that this brand sold to. The list of dept stores were Bloomingdales, Macy's, Lord & Taylor, and YES MARY: NORDSTROM. I had to drive all the way to effing Springfield Mall on a Thursday, sit in rush hour traffic, and get a pair of warm gloves which I very much need in order to attend a funeral in New England this Saturday. The whole situation was incredibly frustrating. From now on, should I order an item I do not like from Nordstrom Rack (online), I will make sure to drive out to this location close to closing time to return expensive purchases in order to fugg up their Sales conversion numbers. I will also aggressively ensure I don't put anything back where it goes, never pick up after myself, and generally be an ass. Because while Im not outwardly rude, I am just that passive aggressively petty. read more

Unacceptable customer service. 0 Stars. I am the Manager of a retailer close by and I am shocked by how rude their management and employees are in this location. I have two complaints for two different occasions I have shopped here. The first occasion was with my mom and grandmother. It was pouring down and storming outside and the line was wrapping around the store, with only two people on register. I had to wait 30 minutes in line to make a $150 purchase. When it got to my turn, the cashier did not greet me, looked disgusted to work there, and had a harsh tone when I asked her how much an item was. My mom was also treated in this same manner from the other cashier. The second offense was today when I returned a pair of shoes. These shoes were worn only once and they split open my toes with blisters. Leaving scars as they healed. The cashier took my receipt, and inspected the shoes. Calling her MSC manager over. The manager approached me with a foul look about the shoes and proceeded to say, "Nordstrom Rack does not take back worn items, but I'll make this exception only once." The tone in her voice was loud enough for everyone in the store to hear, embarrassing me for returning shoes that hurt me. No apology for the bad experience with the product. No sympathy for a return of $52 shoes. Just a nasty attitude from the manager and the cashier. Not to mention patronizing. Disappointed I will not be returning to this store I find amazing things in due to the way I was treated on both occasions. read more

Extremely dissatisfied with the customer service experienced today by one of your cashiers, Christina G. I walked up and proceeded to grab my return and share with her that I had a return, but also a few items to buy. She glared at me and remarked "Good Morning" in the nastiest tone. I was taken aback by her aggressiveness. I replied, "Good Morning" and she proceeded to roll her eyes and state she wanted a reply to her greeting. I apologized as I had not heard her. She rolled her eyes and continued to give me the cold shoulder the length of the transaction. This type of customer service does not reflect the Nordstrom philosophy and I left completely shaken by the way she treated me. Had she taken the time to assume positive intent I most certainly would have responded to her had I heard her. What she doesn't realize is I have a medical condition which impacts my hearing and being in a busy store there are multiple sounds that further impact this. I'm likely to not return to this location, thanks to this experience. I recommend she receive training or consider another profession. read more

There was an extremely limited selection at this branch. I came to do a return and had to wait in an extremely long line. I've been to Nordstrom Racks all over the US but I've never been to a location where staff were not checking people out at the little stations throughout the store; especially when the line was sooooo long (made an L in the store, t least 20 customers +). Once we made it to the (main) checkout counter, things were okay but the customer service could use a bit of improvement. read more

Their toddler girl selection lacks, heavily. However, their toddler boy; they have an abundance! For months, their check out line takes at least 10+ minutes. When you think of Nordstrom you think high end. Surprisingly, a lot of what they carry in the store is pretty cheap merchandise straight from China. You will find some racks that have Eileen Fischer, Vince or others, but it is a very limited stock. I think if you are a size 2 and like to wear ripped $150 jeans that are reduced to $50, you might just think you won the lottery. What I do like is shopping on line and then having the flexibility of returning it to the store. Haute Look and Nordstrom Rack online offer much better quality merchandise. read more

I've been shopping here for years, and I've always been happy with the good deals and great selection of items. However, I had an experience on the evening of 2/11/20 that makes me almost not want to come back. I had purchased an item at the Gaithersburg location because I work in Rockville (and I live in Annapolis). The item was on clearance, but after leaving work, I noticed that the clearance sticker on the item didn't reflect the price on the receipt. No big deal; I just decided to go to the Annapolis location to get it taken care of because I was already on my way home and the Annapolis one was closer. The employee who helped me was nice, but she had to call her manager over to help with the clearance sticker issue. I didn't mind it at all; I wasn't in a hurry. The manager came over, and I smiled and said hi, but she rolled her eyes at me and as I was explaining the issue, she interrupted me and turned to the employee and asked her what the issue was. She then turned to me and asked in a really rude tone, "Didn't you notice that the item number on the sticker didn't match the item number on the receipt before you left the other store?" As I was in the middle of answering, "No, sorry, I didn't even think of checking the SKU number because I thought they'd just accidentally scanned the original price, not the sale price," she turned her back on me, whispered something to the employee that sounded like, "Just give her the damn sale price," scoffed, and walked away. I just stood there shocked because I've never had someone actually turn their back on me while I was talking before. I told the employee that it was no big deal, and I could go to the other Nordstrom Rack if that made it any easier, but she said it was fine. I've never written a bad review of anything before, but this just upset me. I thanked the employee, who was also flustered from that whole thing, and left the store. In retrospect it wasn't even worth getting the $10 price difference; I would've rather just not gone there in the first place. read more

I really like this location, I think it's the best Nordstrom's Rack I've been to in Maryland. It had plenty of parking and some great deals. The store was clean and I found it easy to find what i was looking for unlike some other rack locations I've been to. The only downside is this location doesn't have an activewear section for women. It's called nordstroms rack for a reason, not everything in there is great. If you dig for long enough you will find something that fits your wardrobe. They have shoes, pants, belts, shirts, dress and otherwise, and all other times in the vein. As with any of these stores they have about 3x as much women's inventory than men's. Every time I am in there it seems to fit the clientele, so can't complain. read more

Make sure you get a cashier that is TRAINED and knows how to return things the way you want them. Soooo many times when I've requested a gift card they return to my credit card. And you can't void that out. They should teach them this in training....but they don't. read more
