When I entered this store on March 26, 2026, for services rendered, I was told that I would have to pay in full ($40.00) repair fee before I could have my shoes resoled and it would take a week to repair. When I returned to pick up my shoes on April 4, 2026, I forgot that I had prepaid the $40.00 requested repair fee to the owner and paid another $40.00 in cash at the time to picked up my shoes. I wasn't given a payment receipt at the time for the second payment. When I returned home, I remembered that I had already paid for the shoe repair services via American Express as requested a week before the shoes where resoled. I immediately returned to the store. Before I could enter the store, he saw me before I could open the door and locked it. It was near closing time. It was the weekend, so I returned on Tuesday April 2, 2026, with my shoes in my hands and told second him of my repair payment for services rendered. I felt so awful asking him repeatedly to go hunting for a specific pair of shoes that I wanted but he did it without even an inkling of frustration. When it turned out that they didn't have exactly what I was looking for, he went hunting for it as different stores until they were found. While we waited, we chatted about how much he enjoyed working at Merrell's Outlet Store and how they treated their employees well.
