Downstairs there are seasonal items, general athletic apparel for the whole family and a large shoe department. Upstairs is sports specific with big sections for football, baseball, lacrosse, golf, bowling, etc. We even came across a section with bikes and kayaks. I really enjoyed pursuing the entire store and I spent the most time eyeing up Yeti and Hydroflash drinkware and Lodge cast iron pans. Yes, there is even a small camping/outdoor living section with hammocks, chairs, yard games and such.

So I drive an HOUR AND A HALF back to Annapolis to return them, only for 2 teeny boppers tell me that they can only be returned for store credit. I explained that I don't want store credit, that I only wore them for ONE shift on LINOLEUM floors. One of the teeny boppers said there was "evidence of wear" & they couldn't give me my money back. Evidence of wear after ONE shift wearing them?! Yeah I highly doubt that wear was from ME. I argue it, asking why they can give me store credit & not my money back. So I call the owner, as instructed by the teeny boppers. NO ANSWER. Left a voicemail. Explained that I live more than 1.5 hours from the store. I got NO RESPONSE. Like EVER. That is the LAST time I go there for shoes. I was told by the teeny boppers that I could take the shoes back home with me, or get store credit. So I'm 1.5 hours away from home, and have accomplished nothing. NO help from the owner. What a waste of time & money! I will NEVER go back to that store. Highly DO NOT recommend buying anything from here!! Let me addend this...if you go to this store, the employees will tell you it's not a problem to return your shoes even if they're worn in a hospital for the 30 day trial period (looking at you Sean). However, they also NEVER mention or point out their return policy (maybe on purpose so they can get the sale?). "The return policy was printed on your receipt" is the response I got when I tried to return them. Well guess what owners? I NEVER would have even bought them had I known what I know now. I bought them because YOUR EMPLOYEE told me they are returnable within 30 days & that I could wear them at work (he knew I worked at a hospital because I specifically mentioned that while trying on multiple different shoes). So if your own employee is misrepresenting or doesn't fully understand your return policy, then I'm expected to?

The staff is always very friendly and attentive, although when things get a bit busy, you may have to wait a few moments to get individual attention. It is sometimes difficult to determine who actually works there, since they wear Under Armour as their work attire - but then again - so do half of the Marylanders! I have asked the associates for items that I don't see on the floor and they are more than eager to go in the back to see what is left in stock. They are pleasant with their "no questions asked" return policy (I'm not sure if it's a policy, but they are cool with anything I need to return even if I lost the receipt). The store has much improved and brighter lighting inside now than it had a year ago. For that, I give the 5th star. I can finally see what I'm looking for. A few years ago, it was so dark and loud in there, I couldn't remain in the store for more than a few minutes without freaking out! Now it has the perfect lighting and the music is at a great volume. Some people have complained about pilling but I haven't had any issues as long as I wash inside out in cold water and hang dry. I went to this store to buy a looser fitting align jogger pant to wear home from the hospital. Even though this location is one of the smallest I have been to I was able to find exactly what I was looking for in my size. I also picked up a pack of socks to stay cozy when in the hospital. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a 25% military and first responder discount which includes spouses!

He explained that all Northface coats and jackets had a lifetime warranty and even items that are Northface, but purchased from another store, could be brought into the store for a warranty claim. At checkout, he offered my 10% off for signing up for emails and the like. Based on the service, selection, quality, and value (especially when sales promotions are on), I am a loyal customer. On my 4th Northface coat and my son is in his 6th since he was a child (now in college) and all of them look and function as good as new. Five stars.

We recently purchased some large rolling luggage via The North face website. That was an experience…read morein and of itself which probably requires our review. It was kind of painful and took several days to finally get the purchase approved. In any event, the luggage was shipped in a timely fashion and arrived unscathed. Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly what we wanted and some of the features weren't visible via the website so we decided to return it. Since this would have been a fairly large shipment, we checked to see if we could return it to a North face store. The customer sales representative for North face said that we could return it to a North face store but not an outlet that just sells North face items. So, today we made the 2 and 1/2 hour round trip to Annapolis to return the luggage. After parking and schlepping the luggage about a quarter-mile through the mall we found the North face store. The customer service rep at the store then told us we couldn't return it to the store because of an online discount. That didn't make much logical sense since in effect we had paid less than the luggage was worth but we're only asking to be reimbursed for what we had paid. Fortunately, the more senior representative at the store told us that he would ship the luggage back to North face at no cost to us. We just wouldn't be reimbursed until the luggage was received at the warehouse. Not optimum, but certainly better than lugging the shipment back to our house and having to package it ourself. All in all the experience was somewhat frustrating And certainly a waste of a few hours of my life that I will never get back.
