I purchased a pair of pants that were too small and couldn't return them because they were a final sale item. They are very nice pants and I wanted to get use out of them. So, I started looking for a tailor to see if they could be adjusted to fit me. I was so happy to have found AIB Custom Tailor in Annapolis Mall. The pants had no stretch, but had a front zipper, button closure and wide legs with a cuff. The tailor looked at the pants and said he could fix them if I was willing to give up the cuffs that would give him the extra material he would need to fix the pants. I said YES and was so excited that I found someone that could fix my pants. He asked me when I wanted the pants back and I told him by the weekend (Saturday). That only gave him 3 days. I called him on Saturday afternoon and he said my pants were ready. I immediately left to go pick them up. When I got there he gave me the pants to try on and they fit like a glove. I couldn't believe it! You couldn't tell the pants had been altered at all except they no longer had the cuff. I was so happy! I will be going back again to have other clothes altered. read more

I come here quite a bit for tailoring, especially hems as I am a short woman. They are very good, efficient and reasonable. I like them!

Edit: I was able to talk the gentleman to correct the mistake. After some convincing, he made the corrections within an hour. I'm changing my review from 2-3 for being flexible and for offering the corrections. Took in 3 pants to get the inseam done. As others have said, he's on the pricey side and I'm sorry to say the price does not match the quality of service. Took 2 Navy and 1 gray chinos to get hemmed. One navy chino was off in length by at least an inch. The other had a purple thread on the hem vs. the navy blue on the other. It's not difficult to understand that light threads contrast more than darker threads (I assume he ran out of navy threads) and it doesn't take much to take a tape measure to make sure they're all the same. In addition, punctuality doesn't exist here. The store was supposed to open over 90 minutes ago and he has yet to appear. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

I brought in 2 suits I just bought with the tags still on so I could return them if they were the wrong size. I asked if they could be tailored to fit. He said yes. I came back to pick them up and they did not fit properly. They were too tight. I discussed it with the tailor and he said the suit would need to be a size bigger then tailored down on the sides to fit properly. He said he had great suits I could buy from him then he could tailor them for me. Very misleading! He should have been honest at the beginning and told me I needed to buy a bigger size then they could be tailored. But this greedy jerk wanted my money to tailor suits that he knew would not fit properly. And he was so money-hungry he wanted me to buy new suits from his store. Amazing!!! Best tailor in the world! He has completely remade leather pants for me to fit perfectly! His attention to detail is impeccable! Mr. Bah is so kind it is always a pleasure to take garments too him. Quick turnaround. My previous tailor would shorten blazer sleeves at the cuff which left buttons right at edge of hem (never looked right) he takes the blazer apart at shoulder and shortens sleeve properly so the button cuffs are properly placed. I've had many dresses altered also, and with denim he keeps the original hem! I would highly recommend Mr Bah for all alterations! I drive an hour to take my clothing items to him! Wow - I just read the reviews! I was just happy this place was here because I was looking for different colored shoe creams and they had an entire rainbow! I was going through my bags and decided to clean them all up so I brought them (seven bags in total) with me. There was one worker there and she let me lay the bags on the counter and bring the jars from the display over to my bags to try to match colors. The prices were about $2 more per jar than online but I appreciated that I was able to open the jars and really see the colors as opposed to guessing at the accuracy of a color chart online. read more

Super expensive! Tailoring price was astronomical. Simple white shirt to go with the suit we brought in = 90$! And it just appears from the back.. Nothing is marked. Prompt and attentive service, though, and convenient location. Will not call you when work is done, you just have to come back in roughly two weeks. Not bad but not great. Took 2 jackets in to be altered never got a call letting me know that they were done. I had to go up there a week later to find out that they were done. Was in a pinch looking for a dry cleaning service within walking distance of my campus (I'm a student at Towson University). I took a simple bridesmaid gown with tons of creases and folds in it to get pressed/steamed. I prepaid only about 7 bucks and came back in a week. Just picked it up and the dress is perfect! No creases, no mistakes- and for a great price with great service. He is a very nice man who aims to please and won't overcharge you! Will definitely be using his services again, especially since the location in the Towson mall is so convenient for me and all college students! read more

Extremely expensive and bad quality. I specifically sked the Indian-looking man to re-sew an unraveled hem on my favorite shirt dress in red thread, and they used black! The seam looked really ugly and uneven, but I was desperate, so I just paid the $20 for a 30 second job if I had a sewing machine. However, when I tried to put on the dress their seam unraveled completely. $20 for 2 feet of cheap black thread!!! Ripoff!!! So upset. The job was so easy that I sewed the dress myself, and did 100% better. They are lucky I live too far away to go complain in person. Would give negative stars if I could. read more

Probably the best in town. I came in and needed a suit jacket and slacks brought in and was in a bit of a time crunch, he was more than happy to accommodate and the work was done on time as promised. I needed the suit for a business trip and during the measuring, I mentioned that it was supposed to be raining during my trip and it was also raining down town. He was nice enough to loan me a small travel umbrella to take with me on my travels. My one small complaint is a purely personal one, I try to stay up on the latest trends and fashions and his supply is a but more traditional/less trendy. But great customer service, great work and good prices; that's hard to beat. read more

WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER. First, which is no big deal-- I went to drop my bridesmaid dress off at the time he opened on yelp as well as the hours on the door said which was 11:00- and had to wait around until 11:30. Okay, fine-- ill let it slide. Went to pick up my dress, and there's about 7 or 8 good size marks along the side of the dress-- extremely noticeable. First thing I noticed actually. I show him it, he says its from the press and and asks me to wait 20 min while he takes it to the dry cleaners around the corner, which was closed. Now he asks me to come to Nordstorm at the mall at 8 pm ( presumably where he works also) to pick the dress up because he is going to dry clean it there. Really? You messed up my dress and are making me go back out to get it at a department store?? Okay-- I have my boyfriend stop and pick up the dress because he is in the area, and he brings it back to me IN A SHOPPING BAG. The guy gave him FULL LENGTH BRIDESMAID DRESS IN A SHOPPING BAG! Last time I checked--- the suit department of Nordstrom's has suit bags! AND, to top it off, he didn't get the marks out-- he was able to fade them a little and he added TWO MORE black marks to the front of the dress!!! By far, the worst customer service I have ever received and I will never be going back there again! If I could give a 0 I would! Horrible service, horrible work! read more

Excellent job. We took in 2 suit pants to be hemmed. He got them done same day (2 hours later) and they look amazing. You can hardly tell there is a seam. It was a bit pricey but we expected that because he is in Towson Town Center ($38 for both pants). The length is perfect and we have no complaints. read more

I wouldn't even bother coming here. My husband had to get a rental for a wedding he is in, and I figured it would be an easy thing. All the guy had to do was take some measurements and send them in. We went to pick up the suit and it was all wrong. It was so big and looked terrible. We were ensured it would be fixed and back in time before we left for the wedding. Well he got a call the next day and the owner was talking about all these new charges, and how he's losing all this money now. We will be getting our money back and going somewhere else for the tux. This is a seriously amazing company to go with! At the last minute (two weeks) my wedding dress needed an alteration (Corset back instead of zipper). I had a dress to fix and found this place downtown Annapolis,and i have to say-i'm glad that i did!He does such an amazing work on altering clothes!i could see no stitches made,although the whole zipper on the back of the dress had to be replaced,everything looked so smooth and nice and i'm pretty much impressed with the way he fixed my dress-it now fits like a glove! I took a long dress in to get it hemmed and I requested it to be hemmed twice so that I could take it out again to wear with heels. They said that they could do it and I left my dress in their care. When I went to go pick it up, they hadn't done the two hems and had cut the dress too short. I paid $99 for this hem and shoulder alteration. I expect it to be perfect. Instead it's not what I want. After going home frustrated I tried on the dress again and found out that there is a HOLE in the hem. This $200 dress is no only too short but they didn't even do a good hem job! Do NOT go there! We went there to take in a dress, just a little. It was a strapless and just needed it to be a little tighter around the chest. Not only was it TOO expensive, $49 but when we went back it was WAAAAAAY TOOOOOO Small! He had taken it in too much. And I mean the zipper wouldn't even go up too small. It was too small by at least 2.5 inches. I know because he measured it. He said my daughter had gained weight! Even if she had gain weight which she didn't because this was only one week later, it wouldn't have been 2.5 inch weight gain around her chest area because it fit around her waist which would be where she would gain any weight. ALSO he never called to say it was ready. I just went back because we needed the dress. I asked for a refund and he refused saying it wasn't his fault that she gained weight. He offered to fix it but I didn't trust him since he didn't take any accountability for HIS mistake. DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

I took seven pairs of dress slacks to Mr. Diallo to have them altered. They were in great condition, complete with pleats, cuffs and way more room in the seat and legs than I wanted. When he was finished with them, they were flat in the front, no cuffs and fit much more like they should for 2013 styles. The cost was not cheap, but less than new slacks, with the added bonus of supporting a great local businessman rather than some Asian sweatshop. If you are even thinking about using him, please give him a try. It would be a shame for him to close his shop due to lack of local support. From what I could see, he's busy and doing well, but he needs your business to keep it up. The slacks weren't ready when promised. Had I made an issue of it he likely would have dropped everything and cranked them out. He understands the importance of good customer service and aims to please. Give him a try. read more
