Meticulous Tailor who has my utmost respect and confidence. He altered my pants, took them in, tapered in to my specifications . Also worked on an ill fitted gown bringing in the bodice with darts perfectly aligned! The straps were complicated to say the least, he made them work. Take your alterations here. I don't know why it took me so long to write them a review when I've been coming there a lot for the past 6 months. The blue dress from Madewell was a size bigger than my regular size but I bought it anyway because I loved it so much. I decided to bring it to Mr.Jang after seeing the good reviews on Yelp. I told him I needed it in a day for my vacation. Came back a day after to a perfect fitting fress. I couldn't even tell it has been tailored. I brought another dress (white) to Mr.Jang a month after with the same issue and of course he nailed it again. Mr.Jang is not only skilled but also very sweet. He punched a hole on my belt for free and gave me candies too haha. I also bring my clothes there for dry cleaning. Overall, excellent service, reasonable price and great accommodations. I went to Master Jang and he knew exactly what I wanted. He converted a bridesmaid dress with a halter top to a sweetheart neckline strapless. No questions asked. I completely trust his aesthetic. He also hemmed up the dress, which was charmeuse and charged about $20 less than the tailor at the mall! His work and experience is AMAZING. This place can be expensive (only reason this is not 5 stars), but I will tell you that the owner and his associates take great care to inspect clothing, point out abnormalities, and go out of his way to fix everything they can to maintain clothing, and improve how it looks. I had some water marks on some some slacks - totally gone after cleaning them. I had a small hole in my black slacks - patched up and fixed (for free!). I highly recommend this cleaner. I took some expensive sweaters and other quality clothes to be cleaned and they did a fine job. But I took a brand new, very expensive shirt with heavily embroidered cuffs to be altered and repeatedly asked them not to allow the embroidery to be caught in the seam and truncated. I demonstrated how I wanted it done several times. I just picked it up and it's everything I feared, the embroidery was caught well into the seam then cut off so I can't even undo the sewing and redo it myself. I am extremely disappointed. As the cleaning was fine and I have been having a terrible time finding a new cleaner (my previous ones retired), I will likely continue to take cleaning there but alterations elsewhere and I am now nervous even about really fine garments. read more
