Aside from half the machines not working, the over priced washer and dryers, the not so clean environment, the staff is pretty rude as well!

The lady accepting the items was very pleasant, gave me the ticket, and said they would be ready that same day after 5:00pm. The next morning, my husband goes to pick up the clothes. He notices that the price has been doubled from what was stated on the original ticket. Both tickets say "2" items, 1 jacket dry clean & 1 dress pressed. He asks "why". The gentlemen (I use the term loosely) comes from the back and is talking so fast, that what English he knew, quickly became Chinese. My husband paid the bill, as we needed the clothes. My husband goes to leave the shop & the man chases after him to the car & tries to take the clothes away. The man said he was calling the police. My husband had paid the bill. He paid the inflated amount with no real explanation as to why. My husband called the police. The officer came & looked at the receipts. He said that the first receipt looked "too high". It was a civil matter & he could not get involved. He did tell the store person that he had to let my husband take the clothes, as he had paid the bill. The store man's response was "well, he did not want to pay". Seriously? I have shared my experience with the thousands of other parents in our USNA Facebook group. I shared with the family who rented us their lovely home for the week, who passed the work around also. We were ripped off when they realized we were not local.

I have been coming here for the past 5 plus years and have always been so happy with their work…read more They use organic cleaners which I really like. BUT until recently I didn't know how truly fabulous these guys are. I had put a sticker on a suede shirt (which I didn't know you should NEVER do) and I thought my shirt would never be the same. They were able to fix it!!!! Also, a few weeks later I got blood on another suede item and they were also able to fix that too!!!! I thought there would be no hope but they did it! They have also been able to make some of my husband's dingy white shirts look like new. I highly recommend them. They are very professional, seem to really take their time in helping you and are genuinely concerned with doing a great job! Oh, I forgot to mention they do a great job with alternations too.

I have been using Busy Bees for a few years now with mixed results. I travel for business and…read moretherefore frequently have dress shirts, sport coats, slacks and suits laundered and dry cleaned. I noticed that their prices continually increased, much like my cable bill, over time. I would also occasionally find that buttons had been eradicated, but only after being at a destination and needing the clean shirt. How is it possible that a button be completely destroyed without seeing all the remnants remaining on the steam board??? The last straw occurred when we realized that Busy Bees had charged dry cleaning instead of laundering my dress shirts. The price difference was significant. The issue was brought up at the pickup and included the manager. The manager and owner of the franchise stated that Busy Bees has been checking the receivables during the service processing and upgrading the clients from laundering to dry cleaning at no additional charge for some time and we should be grateful that they we were only charged this time. The lie was so obvious that it was insulting. We are now using another dry cleaner that is closer, more reputable, and is almost one-third less expensive. So, thank you Busy Bees for breaking us of the expensive habit of using your service out of habit.

We've been customers of Busy Bee in Edgewater, Maryland since they opened that location. For many…read moreyears they did a fantastic job laundering and pressing my dress shirts. However, in the last few years, they've changed something about their process, which made some of my shirts come back with crinkly collars or folded over and pressed button holes. This means that every time I pick up my laundry, I have to ask them to redo some of my shirts which means I have to come back at a later time. I've decided that this is a greater pain in the butt than paying a little bit more and going to another cleaners. I will always pay a little bit more for quality work, and Busy Bee doesn't provide that. I also want to echo a previous reviewer's comment about getting up-charged for dry cleaning. They told me shirts with spandex and nylon in them needed to be dry cleaned, but the fabric label proved otherwise. It seems that Busy Bee is charging more and more to do less and less. Avoid at all costs.
