Great locally owned place to do your laundry and take care of large items like comforters or blankets

Not very big. Only takes quarters. Dirty floors. Limited seating. I won't come back to wash my comforters. It costs about $15 to wash and dry a very large king comforter myself. read more

This laundromat has gone down, down, doooowwwwn in the past few years. Hispanic ladies meet up during the day to watch stories, gossip, and babysit each others children. Dont expect to escape the evening rush and get a load or two in because in addition to the normal drop-off service, Some of these women used the machines to run their own wash-n-fold business. These washroom gangsters hog up the large and medium size washers from open until about 6pm. They block dryers and put quarters in their friends stopped dryers to keep them occupied all day. I'm a big fan of the Bay Ridge Laundry. My busy travel schedule, combined with my laziness, made finding a wash and fold laundry a necessity. For $1.15/lb. the friendly staff will wash and fold or hang your clothes. It's more than I was used to spending in Chicago (typically just under $1.00/lb. there) but the service is great and they'll turn things around in a few hours which is fantastic. Aside from wash and fold service, this is a full laundromat (hence the name!). It's very clean, machines are new and the employees even bring snacks in from time to time! There is a coffee shop and a taqueria next door so you can keep yourself occupied while your undies are tumbling. Check it out! read more

I walked in at 830 got attacked by the associate working who had her 4 kids running around the store saying they are closed when they have a full laundromat of people I said online say they are open till 11 she said no 830. She then grabbed my comforter I had in my arms pushing me away I asked her not to touch me and asked for a manager she gave me donnas number not sure who that is but no answer.... Worst customer service ever and she put her hands on me. I will be contacting higher ups in this situation.... Save your self the trouble do not come here.. We were discriminated against being the only "White people" in there being a hispanic couple walked in at the same time and were welcomed Edit- owner contacted back and resolved the issue after reviewing the cameras thank you. read more

After Hurricane Irene, I found about 4 inches of water in my basement apartment. Unfortunately, the flood invaded my dresser and closet and soaked my clothes. I normally would have taken care of this myself but, the apartment is fairly isolated and my power was out longer than most. I took my laundry here and received a warm welcome. They do have full service by the pound so I was a little scared since my clothes were still soaking and probably weighed 3 times their normal weight. They realized this and didn't require me to do their normal pre-pay and totaled it up after they job was done and dry. The service was extremely fast, I dropped off around 1pm and was given a pick up time of 7am the following day. Initially, I thought "WOW, that's fast"... much to my surprise, I received a call 4 hours later saying that everything was done and ready to be picked up! I've sampled three of the laundromats in the Annapolis area, and let me tell you, this one's the top. It's clean, and has the most machines, with a wide variety of sizes, a large table for convenient folding, plenty of seating space, and on-site staff. There are a few nearby places you can go to kill some time, or you stay and listen to Spanish-language soap operas or the Disney Channel at a somewhat unsafe volume. I have yet to see it be overcrowded, although that could have to do with when I go there. Long story short, if you're in Annapolis and stuck without a laundry machine, but you do have a car, give Bay Ridge Laundromat a try! read more

Very clean and and strangely empty at 2:40 pm. On a Thursday. The giant washer for my quilt costs $9.50 in quarters, which a change machine dispenses. The washer takes 23 minutes, and then we will see how long the dryer takes at a quarter a cycle. The attendant is fluently bilingual and very helpful to me and to the few people just coming in. She also manages a wash and fold service for people who don't do their own laundry. Highly recommended! read more

If you can get past the crazy homeless people hanging around, bums outside begging for money, and a crowd then, this is the place for you! This laundromat has tons of washing machines and dryers, and 95% of them are in working order, which is fantastic. They have a television and vending machines. The restrooms are clean, and they have onsite staff. This place is great if you go early in the morning. Anytime after that, expect a crowd. I would give this place 5 stars, but when I'm sitting on a bench inside and have a homeless person in my face, making no sense at all, it just makes for an unpleasant experience. I feel bad for this man, but he shouldn't be allowed to hang around the laundromat and scare off the customers. I'm sure there is a shelter in Annapolis that he can go too. He screams random things in the laundromat and talks to himself, and will talk to you too. He and his buddy take up space. You will find tons of kids running around and screaming because people choose not to control their kids who are always misbehaving. I wouldn't go here if I didn't have to, but I have no other choice. I usually sit in my car and read while my cloths wash, and after I get them in the dryer, I'll go across the street to Grumps cafe, which is really good, and get something to eat while my cloths dry. I usually take my cloths home to fold them as I can't take the atmosphere. read more

This is the best laundromat I have ever been too. The attendants are friendly and informative,and the laundromat itself is so clean, and the free soap and bleach on Wednesday and Thursday are great. I have never heard of a laundromat that does this. They also have wash n fold service. You get a card that they stamp, and on your 8th wash n fold, you get 20 lbs of laundry for free. What a great deal! I love this laundromat and would recommend Bay Ridge Laundromat to anyone that wants great and friendly service. read more

This place is a sh!thole. Dirty, dirty, dirty. One TV---and it was on a Spanish station. Their web page looks great: declares they have 2 TVs and that it's clean. IT IS, I EMPHATICALLY REPEAT, A SH!THOLE. Not enough space to move around or even do what you need to. There's very little seating and it's like gymnasium seating; not comfortable. There are whole families there taking up space. I only went there because I bought a comforter that was too big for my home washer. You have to stay right by your laundry (washer, dryer) because someone WILL remove it. They are vultures. It was gross. I left w/ my wet comforter (since some grungy person removed it--and I was sitting 4 ft away) and went home and shoved it in my own washer. Oh, and there were 5 change machines and only 1 worked. And the bathroom was out of order. If laundromats could be condemned, this should definitely be. read more
