The craftsmanship for the repair is subpar and lack attention to detail and cobblers sloppiness. Was quoted 2 weeks but it took 8 weeks for repair. I had to visit 6 times and cobbler kept quoting a few more hours which took several weeks later. read more

Dropped 4 pair of shoes of on Saturday. Was told to pick up on Wednesday , came on Thursday. None were ready. Told me It would be 45 minutes. My mistake is that I should have asked what was done already. He changed the taps on all 4 pair of shoes in 45 mins. The issue is they all didn't need new taps, they were on for other reason. When i advised him of this, got an attitude and gave me a partial refund for the some other work that was not completed. In all I paid $65 for taps on 4 pair of shoes. Grossly ovoverpriced. Seemed fine at first. My son dropped off my boots to be repaired. The ticket stub said it would be done the following Wednesday. I tried to call 3 or 4 times during business hours over the next week and a half to confirm they were done prior to making the 1.25 hour drive. They never answered the phone. I figured after a week past the schedule time they'd be done. Nope. Drove another 1.25 hours home. The lady there said they'd be done the next week. I waited 3 weeks and continued to call. I literally called at least 10 times over a week. I finally go all the way there to find out that he never even looked at them. Awful! Don't do business with them. You'll waste a lot of time and perhaps never get your repairs done. read more

Have not got my boots back yet..... On the day I dropped them off ( a Monday) I sat in front of the store for 35 minutes after he was supposed to open. Watched several customers come and go because he was closed. Just as I was about to leave he arrived. Today, two weeks later, I find myself sitting here at 1045 in front of a business the adververtises a 1000 opening but is still closed. This store is over an hours drive from my home. Recently under new ownership. I dropped off a pair of pumps to have a new insole, heel taps, and a half sole of anti-skid put on. $95 total. Dropped them off 10 days ago. Went there today to pick them up, waited 15 minutes for the guy to finish polishing someone else's shoes. And then when I gave him the claim ticket, he couldn't find my shoes. He asked me to come back later and I said I couldn't - I need them for work tomorrow. So another 20 minutes goes by he still can't find my shoes. He finally finds them in a pile of unfixed shoes. I waited 10 days, and he has done absolutely nothing to my shoes. when I complained that I've been waiting for 10 days, he said sorry - I've been really busy. Who does that? All in all an extremely infuriating experience. I told the guy who was waiting behind me the entire time, you'd be better off going somewhere else. I've visited this establishment many times over the past year and have always been pleased by the service. Napoleo, a gracious and gifted cobbler has always provided timely, and excellent service. Today I went in to inquire about putting a lift on a left boot to help with my gait. One of my legs is an inch shorter than the other and my doctor recommended that I try putting a new sole on the bottom of the bottom of the shoe with the shorter leg. That was not appealing to me at all! I'm an active, stylish woman in her early 60's who is not yet ready to give into the publicly physical manifestations of age. Intuitively, Napoleon sensed my struggle and made some suggestions. He disappeared for about 15 minutes and came back with a life changing solution to my situ. In the few minutes, he created right there in his shop, an insert that will bring balance to my gait. it took severAl attempts to get it right because he and his wife Carla wanted the perfect fit. I recently bought two pair of expensive black pumps with pointed toes and managed to scuff the toe on both within a couple weeks of owning them. I went to the mall to seek out the shoe repair (by the way, it's not down by the food court anymore, it's at the entrance near Sbarro's). Carla at the Shoe Repair shop not only fixed my scuffs immediately on the spot, she did it gratis (which I did not expect). This repair has been an Annapolis staple for years and I'm so glad I found them again. Likely, I'll go back to have Carla put metal tips on my shoes soon. read more

This shop lost my shoe and offered no compensation. I dropped off a pair of shoes for a resole and returned a week and a half later (as per the agreed upon completion date). The shopkeeper looked around for 10 minutes, upending multiple piles of loose shoes with no visible form of organization. There was no apparent record keeping, no packaging or any kind of grouping system to keep pairs of shoes together. He was able to find one shoe; I asked him to look further and call me when he located it. He never called. I called 5 separate times in an attempt to resolve the issue. There was no apology, only an explanation that his wife had mixed up my shoes and given one to another customer. Following my fifth call, he told me he would get in touch with the other customer and call me back. I never received a return call. I was never offered financial compensation for the loss of my shoes nor for the multiple calls and time I spent trying to reach a resolution. The shopkeeper seemed apathetic and lacked any apparent eagerness to resolve the loss. Unfortunately, I'm not able to speak to the quality of the work, but I will not be returning nor recommending this shop. read more
