My less than 700 sq feet job ended up being estimated at 1100 sq feet. Although the carpet was supposed to be $2 sq/ft installed Owner refused to do the job for less that $2,000. He couldn't even do the math to make the calculations work while I was in the showroom. He gave me a number to his "boss" Sara who told me she would look into this on Saturday. No calls and was not responding to call today. Bad business, double check all measurements and estimates! I am sure I am not the only one they have taken advantage off or at least tried. I did get a refund, but am very disappointed in the apparent scam and lack of integrity. read more

I had my carpet replaced today, by this company and want to tell ANYONE and EVERYONE. NOT to use them. The lady Ms. Sara is very nice however it's a team effort where they work together to get paid. In the store I was talked into a carpet that was no longer available and was told it was good quality however, once they got it on my floor I noticed that it was not the same nor was it enough cushion to make it better. The workers speak very limited English and that's a problem. I would not recommend their services. I called Mr. Dennis to tell him the problem and he was rude and not the same nice sales person that I spoke with at first and to add he hung up the phone on me. I took a second and called him back to let him know that I felt disrespected and told him that he was wrong in hanging up the phone on me and he said he thought that I was finish. It was then that I said I never said good by and that was not good customer service. He has made his money and his sale. It's best that you go to professional not scammers like this company. First off let me start off by saying, I don't usually leave reviews, but the customer service, pricing and overall process made me want to share my wonderful experience. Dennis truly knows his carpets and he took the time to asses my every need (I can be picky at times) and made sure I didn't leave until I was 110% happy with everything. They came by shortly after everything was figured out, installed the carpet flawlessly and even cleaned up after themselves. Owner Dennis is rude, and unprofessional. We paid to have our basement carpeted, along with the platform for stadium seats. The laborer butchered the carpet, piecing it together stating he does not have enough carpet for the platform and stairs and that the measurements was off. We went out to the laborers van and found a roll of our 80oz carpet and padding 152ft x 57. We also measured 5 butchered pieces that also measured over 100ft each. The laborer called Dennis, who immediately asked if the balance of $230 was paid, when he told him no, Dennis then directed his attention to us, we attempted to explain the situation, informing him there would be no balance paid until our carpet was laid, kicked and seamed; Dennis then yelled out F$%%% you, and to told the worker to get to F$%# out of there. We have carpet partially laid, butchered remnants strewn about, stairs and platform undone. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, AND IF YOU DO, BE SURE TO PAY ONLY A DEPOSIT! read more

No complaints - I received a coupon in the mail - 3 rooms for 399.99... That got me in the store I guess. The 399.99 carpet is thin ugly gray carpet. The mid grade wasn't too bad (went up to 599.) I was told they needed the exact sizes of the room because I might come out cheaper buying remnant carpet and I could potentially get a better grade. Guy came out (showed up on time) to measure my rooms, I then went back in and picked out remnant carpeting and he threw in upgraded padding. From start to finish took no more then a week and Im very satisfied and even without the coupon I feel like the carpet was reasonably priced. read more

ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WORKMANSHIP. They had no problem being nice taking my money, but the install was horrible. They sent one guy and I guess he was rushing. Saw staples, uneven around edges, very poor workmanship. Then he never called when he finished, just left bcuz he knew the job was horrible. When I called to explain the situation, the man became so rude, yelling at me and very defensive towards me. Yelling that the man may have had a bad day and he has been with the company for 25yrs. I told him that he represents your company and you need to know the type of work he is doing in peoples houses. He only offer to have to guy come back the next day to fix, not caring that I had to take off my job again to stand over the guy to ensure he fixed the entire job. It's still not a professional look. Lastly, nobody told me that due to the thickness the doors would work. But he still took the doors off and just left then off bcuz they don't do carpentry work. So not I got all my doors off the hinges until I can pay another company to cut them down. Had I known in advance, I could have taken care of it. I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND SUGGEST YOU NOT USE THEM EITHER. Where is the less than 1 star, bcuz that's what they deserve. BEWARE. read more

Carpet choices are okay. However, they make several mistakes when it comes to your estimate. I was quoted $1498 for the better carpet for my entire home. Then they called back and said it would be $2498 because he didn't see some extra measurements on the back of the paper. I decided not to get new carpet in the basement, and upgraded to the best carpet and was I was quoted $1498 for two staircases, a living room and dining room. The carpet I ordered was in popular demand and I noticed he was cutting measurements down as close as he could to make it work for me and another customer. After I paid the $1498 and scheduled a day for the install, one installer came to do the job and it was sloppy. Not only was it sloppy, but he got there at 9 and didn't finish until 2. Then i had to go back to Mill and get more carpet. It is obvious where the seams are In the carpet AND they claimed I didn't inform them of my two staircases when I paid, which I did. He wrote (2) on the doc that had my measurements. Instead, the installer completed one staircase and said he didn't have anymore carpet because he was told one staircase. I called Mill Carpet and Dennis said I said one and I could come pick the carpet up for $298 and put in my car instead of paying an additional $100 if the installer comes. The guy who does the calculations (Dennis) lied about us not discussing two stairwells just to make a profit off of the last piece of carpet in that style because it was such a small piece no one would purchase. Like others have posted, they aren't a honest business and can be rude when there is a discrepancy. You think you're getting a deal, but you end up paying more than you were originally told and the installation is subpar for the type of carpet purchased. I purchased the "best" carpet and padding which feels nice but it was installed in a sloppy/rushed way. Only reason I gave them two stars (instead of one for my experience/customer service) is because I like the carpet color. AND I had to clean spots on the carpet because the carpet was brought to me with stains on it. No bueno. Go to a more professional and honest company OR make sure Dennis writes EVERYTHING you discuss on your invoice (measurements, rooms/staircases, total price, etc.). I purchased carpet from here and they came out and did good work. A month later I went to purchase carpet for the other side of my house. I asked the gentlemen could I have the exact same color and type of carpet that they did at first. He stated yes. When they came to our the carpet down, it was a totally different color. I called Mills Carpet and the man who answered the phone told me it was nothing he could do about it. He was not trying to assist me. Even though he missed up. He is truly not about customer service. (I was unable to leave a negative star)I visited this location about a week ago with a value saver, that was just to get you in the door because it wasn't practical (it said 3 rooms for $399, however it covered an areas smaller than a medium area rug. When I entered there was a black male sweeping, who didn't acknowledge myself and my kids. I said hello twice and asked did he work there. After getting past that and my shock of how no good the value was I found a carpet I liked and got a price from the manager. I decided it was best to shop around. After doing so I returned today, I knocked as the sign instructed, a different gentleman answered, I said good morning, no response, I said it again and got a greeting. I immediately saw the carpet I wanted had been sold, the gentleman said he could order more and I proceed to write up the order. After letting him know I visited and the price I got he got on the phone with the guy I saw on my last visit, they spoke and the gentleman said he could not give me the carpet at that price. I asked when would the manager be in and it took about three times for him to tell me then he began to raise his voice and be rude and told me if I didn't like it I could leave. I didn't like or appreciate his tone with me nor his attitude in front of my children and he continued to tell me to leave, however I wanted the carpet and he threatened to call the cops on me, which I welcomed. Sad to say he called them and turned up the tv and told me he wasn't speaking to me anymore. So my children and I waited for the cops to tell him that it was a civil matter and I wasn't doing anything and there wasn't anything for them to do. He proceed out the door with us and started to write my daughter license plate down(we met at the store), why though and we were leaving and had not done anything to this employee?! This is the second time we've used this company. We moved into our home almost 2 years ago and needed new carpet immediately. Dennis came to our home ON TIME and was very accurate and fair in his quote. The workers came to complete the work the same week. They were also ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL, and did GREAT WORK. The carpet has now withstanded an active one year old. Now, we've had hardwood installed in our kitchen, bathroom, and foyer to match the dining and living room. The price is fair for taking up CERAMIC TILE and putting in AMERICAN MADE HARDWOOD. The problem is that our current hardwood is over 5 years old and we are in the middle of a kitchen renovation. NO PROBLEM FOR THEM!!! They came in and SEAMLESSLY matched our current floors and worked in between the days for the kitchen demo and cabinet install. I don't know the names of the men who came to work in our home, but they were absolutely the best contractors I have ever worked with for flooring. They charge to come out and measure after you pick out the carpet you want, then they sell the carpet you select to multiple people and don't have it when it is time to install it. No one informed me about a deposit when the appointment was made to install nor when the measurements were taken. Gary only calculated this mysterious deposit after I asked what time they were coming so that he could justify his mistake. Mill carpets is the worst. They installed carpet for me but didn't finish because they ran out of the carpet and had to order more. That was ok but to my surprise, i went over to inspect the work, I found they left the old padding instead of replacing it. I paid for new padding. I immediately call Mr. Dennis and he told me the old padding was still good so they left it. I told him I wanted new padding. He refused. I asked for money back, he refused. It was not until I told him I would report him that he offered to work with me. What they did was nasty and unprofessional. I think they do this often because I heard them talking, he and two works about what they were doing at some ladies home. Mr. Dennis told them to be quite, there is a customer in the store. Again unprofessional and taking people's money. If you hire them, you better be on watch. Also, the seams came apart in the living room within a year - carpet split in two. Save your money! I just left this is establishment after being rudly yelled at because they decided to change the quote on me at the last minute. I paid the estimate charges for 2 houses and 50% down for one of them. They'd rather keep the $40 instead of the $2400 that I was going to give them for the 2 houses. They also changed the carpet on me as well but I didn't care because I wanted the most frugal 1 they had so that probably gave them the audacity to try to up charge me! When I said that the representative gave me the estimate, they magically changed the carpet and placed more charges on the estimate. Because he said that I was getting over on them when it was their representative who told me that the coupon was valid and that the plush carpet was valid and that the padding was included with furniture removal. 3 weeks go by, as I get the funds and they flip the script! They call me the next day after the 2nd house was measured for and this new person involved wanted to charge me the same rate as the 1st house even though the 1st house is 2 times bigger in square feet. The man proceeds to yell in my ear like he's in 5th grade that I'm not gonna get my money, I'm not gonna get my money. So they lost my business and every person I referred to this place I will retract any referral I gave. They would rather argue with a customer then honor what they'd said they would do and call their customer a liar. Trust me, no matter what a "good deal" they claim they have, I'd rather pay extra to have respect as a customer! I have used this company in the past and the carpet is a good quality. However, this time I purchased a Tarkett floor to be installed in my kitchen. After I signed the contract, I found that this price was way too high! I tried to get out of the contract but of course they didn't allow it. I was told if they had enough which it should be they would also do my powder and laundry rooms. I didn't really care about the laundry room. The installers removed all of my old flooring from the kitchen, laundry room and powder room. They completed the kitchen and laundry room. My powder room now has nothing but builder's wood. (It's a mess!) When I called Dennis to discuss, he said it will be expensive to do the powder room because removing and replacing a commode is expensive!!!! Over $500 for this tiny room.
