From our very first…read moremeeting, Ray was incredibly warm, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure we were completely happy with every decision we made. When we were choosing our hardwood and carpet, he encouraged us to take samples home and really live with them before making a decision. We actually kept some of the samples for a few weeks, and there was never any pressure or constant follow-up from him. He told us that making a change like this takes time to get used to and that he wanted us to be 100% sure we loved what we chose before moving forward. That really speaks to the kind of person and business owner he is--he cared much more about us being happy with the end result than rushing us into a decision. Once we decided to move forward, the entire process was just as wonderful. Every single person we interacted with--from the hardwood delivery to the hardwood installers, the carpet installer, and finally Ray coming back for the final inspection--was professional, efficient, respectful, and fantastic to work with. My dad has extremely high standards when it comes to work being done in our home, and even he could not have been happier with the quality of the work and how smoothly everything went! Our upstairs looks absolutely beautiful, and we are SO happy with how everything turned out. But beyond the beautiful floors, what really made the experience special was Ray himself. By the end of the project, we genuinely felt like he had become part of the family. He is just such a kind, trustworthy, genuine person, and you can tell how much pride he takes in his work and in taking care of his customers. We have already been recommending Ray to everyone we know, and we will absolutely use him again for any future flooring projects. If you are looking for someone you can trust with your home, I truly could not recommend Ray and his team more highly. An amazing experience from beginning to end!

Horrible! The owners Fred and Sherry do what they can to make your initial experience pleasant,…read morehowever once they get your money things shift. The contractor they hired to update my kitchen did a horrible job, the grout wasn't filed down properly on my backsplash which left cement lumps. They messed up my sink, caused a flood but only offered me a $100 gift card for my troubles. I had to pay the contractor to fix a sink he tore up. The paint they used on my ceiling is glossy which doesn't match the flat paint I already had..just an altogether messy job that cost me way more than what it's worth. Update on my Original Review: AVOID at ALL COST…read more.. (UPDATE on my ORIGINAL REVIEW) The owner called me to discuss the EXTREMELY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE we had, and the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE provided by his employees. I appreciated his personal outreach, and was gracious enough to give them another chance. During the "2nd Chance Visit", his carpet estimator was incredibly rude to my female tenant, made it seem like he was doing her a favor to show-up, and verbally CURSED AT MY FEMALE TENANT. She became afraid and asked the carpet estimator to leave because she felt unsafe. I respect & appreciate the OWNER for trying to make things right, but if this is the caliber of employee that his company hires, I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM. It is 1,000% UNACCEPTALBE for a service provider that has been invited into someone's home to curse at a woman. UNACCEPTABLE. District Floor Depot WILL NOT be getting my business, and I hope that no consumer supports this type of behavior by doing business with them. (ORIGINAL REVIEW) This company offers HORRIBLE customer service. I scheduled multiple appointments, and they just didn't show up. They called and said the representative was outside. THEY LIED. We immediately opened the door, and no one was there. I called right back, and they said the representative was there, but left. They lied. We were looking for them the entire time. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with this company. Go to a reputable company that appreciates & values its customers and their time. I would not accept free carpet from them at this point. INTEGRITY MATTERS.

We worked with Andy to choose a tile and place the order. She was incredibly helpful, responsive, prompt and knowledgeable. Unfortunately once the tile was installed the color didn't look like how we were expecting, but Andy immediately rectified the situation and repeated several times how important it is for us to be satisfied with the end result - I have honestly never received that kind of customer service, and I was blown away. Victor installed our tile and was also so knowledgeable, meticulous and efficient. The tile installation is BEAUTIFUL. He was so kind and professional, despite having to take out the initial tile and reinstall it due to the color discrepancy. Because of our experience with Andy and Victor, we will never go anywhere else for our tiling needs, and will refer everyone we know to Compass Tile. You will not regret working with them.

I had an ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE experience with Dave Friedlander of Dave's Floor and More. It was one…read moreof the worst interactions I have had with another person in my entire life. I hired Dave to complete a straightforward renovation of an unoccupied, mostly-empty, one-bedroom condominium. It felt like a slow-moving train wreck that lasted for four months. I made a serious mistake by hiring Dave's Floor and More. I compounded it by giving Dave grace - and a second chance - when things went wrong pretty much straight out of the gate. The gesture was not reciprocated. I should have heeded the red flags and fired Dave's Floor and More immediately. I have thousands of dollars in additional costs needed to rectify issues that occurred during this reno. Dave states that he stands by his work. He did stand by some of his work. However, I am holding the bag for the rest of it. I don't think that qualifies as "standing by your work." I reached out to Dave numerous times, in multiple ways, for him to somehow make good on this mess. I gave him plenty of time and plenty of latitude to resolve things. Dave has not done so to any satisfactory degree - not even close. Based on my experience with him, it seems to me that Dave Friedlander of Dave's Floor and More simply does not care about harm to another person's property and finances. It makes my skin crawl when I think about how he behaved.

Beware! They were hired to redo all the floors in our 2 bedroom apartment. The project was…read moremismanaged throughout. The company made promises before the work began that were never followed through on, and at times the complete opposite happened. They told us it would be 4 days, it turned out to be 12. They told us they would take care of our furniture and property, there was extensive damage to furniture, walls and doors. We came in twice to check on the work and found they had left our furniture in the middle of their construction debris with their tools on it. Even after brining it to their attention the same issue was found on a separate visit. They told us they would clean when they were done, there was dust and debris everywhere, with the worst part being the entire floor was covered in adhesive. It took two days to clean, including the renting of professional equipment, which we had to do ourselves. Within the first day the flooring started to come up, turned out that in the 12 days of work they weren't able to even put the floors in correctly. They even used the wrong color trim which didn't match the floor. To add insult to injury, the owner, Sid, was not apologetic in the least for the massive inconvenience and additional expenses he caused us. The impacts of his mismanagement of this project were so significant that we are now looking at the process of taking him to court. If you do use them, know that a sales person will tell you everything you want to hear, and then not follow through on promises made. A project lead will come the first day to meet with you, and then never be heard from again. It seems this person simply meets the crew that are hired for the project, and then lets them go at it. Nothing we discussed with him on that day was followed through on. From the faulty work and damage, it seems they hired workers who were not experienced. They left the apartment in a terrible state. We got a call that they were done, and it turned out what happened was that without anyone from the company coming to check on the work, these laborers just left knowing what a terrible job they did. The project lead was nowhere to be seen. So after 12 days in a hotel, 8 more than the 4 they promised, all coming out of my pocket, after having to take off of work because the end date they provided was false, after cleaning adhesive off the entire floor, walls, and doors, after removing dust and debris from every corner and crevice over 2 days, after moving back in to an apartment that was worse than we left it, after needing to call in repair people to attend to the damaged furniture, the owner of this company thinks he doesn't owe us anything for the inconvenience and cost he caused my family. Beware!
