When evaluating my trees, they clearly explained which ones needed deadwood removal and which ones were fine at the time. They also had to remove one tree from my front yard, and they took the time to explain in detail why removal was necessary. I recently worked with Rodney, and he was great about discussing the details of the job and explaining his recommendations. He is obviously very knowledgeable about trees and clearly cares deeply about his work. I especially appreciated that he was there with the crew on the day they removed the deadwood and walked me through what they were doing. Of all the companies I contacted, Green Vista also seemed to have the most appropriate equipment for the job. Several other companies weren't confident they could get their lift into my backyard. Green Vista was able to do it, and they laid down appropriate tracking and ground protection to make sure there was no damage to my lawn. In one case, I found two dead branches that weren't visible from my side of the property. Rodney and the team came back quickly and took care of them, which I really appreciated. I know I'll be using Green Vista again in the future. Their pricing is excellent considering they have a certified arborist involved, and most importantly, they genuinely seem to care about the health of the trees rather than trying to upsell you. Highly recommended.

I was so impressed that I'm already having them come back to take care of some dead limbs on one of our old oak trees. The tree is healthy, and we want to keep it that way. Early Wednesday morning they had an arborist at the house, dispatched a large crew and a massive crane. They spent 7 hours carefully removing the tree, lifting huge pieces of it over our neighbor's house (thank you, good neighbors!), ground the small and medium branches, and stacked the very large trunk sections on the street. On Thursday they picked up all of the large sections and hauled them away. By 5pm the tree was gone and contractors were able to start doing a temporary repair of the large holes in our garage roof. This was a traumatic experience that was totally unexpected. This was a seemingly healthy tree that just tipped over without warning. Anyone can imagine how it feels to have a huge tree laying on your house. The support from JL Tree's Service went a long way toward making us feel like we were making progress on getting the mess resolved. We collected (4) quotes and were given different options from each one. Out of the (4) Heart of Wood came in with the overall best price and the best options. I met with Thomas and immediately knew I was working with someone that knew what they were doing. He looked over the trees and recommended we remove (2) and just trim one up. He was straight forward on our options. He provided several based on what we wanted to spend on the project. His company offered tree removing with no heavy equipment and no disturbance to the property which was exactly what we were looking for this in this project. Thomas had his crew on-site within a week after we made our decision (even with the Thanksgiving holiday). His Crew was amazing, if not for the sounds of chain-saws I would not have even known they were cutting down huge trees with branches extending everywhere. I really cannot describe the stress that we had over this project as the trees were huge and in a precarious spot leaning towards a neighboring community. Thomas from start to finish worked with me via phone, email, and on-site visits. His guys were absolutely amazing to watch as they safely & quickly removed our problems. They did a great job cleaning up and the area looks better than when they started. I could not be more happy with the work they did. Our stress is gone and at a price & option that we can live with, I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Heart of Wood. Definitely will be who we work with for any future tree issues.

Imagine my surprise when our neighbor on the other side hired them before we did and you can't even tell where the trees were. I finally decided to get an estimate on numerous trees and the gentleman came out immediately and priced out each tree separately so we could pick ala carte what we preferred and stayed within budget. Scheduled them same day- couldn't beat their prices and timeliness- had availability within the week. Team arrived on time, appropriately dressed, and in friendly moods. They wasted no time scouting out the trees we had selected and immediately got to work. I watched like a child at an imax theater. Just so wowed and impressed how every team member had their role, maintained safety, and orchestrated the various projects with ease. They had the most impressive tools and biggest toys to get the job done fast yet safely. (The man who did the quotes had been doing this since the 90s and has since trained younger guys to scale the trees- and the wisdom training shows. With that said- it's nice to see "management" buy the workers the top line equipment because it truly makes the job easier, faster, and safer!) remote control tree stump grinder, anyone? Wood chipper that snarled through branches the size of small trees like tiny twigs. Wicked. One service they offered I wasn't aware of was pruning trees. We have a massive oak looming over our front yard and driveway. The owner saw the dead branches and recommended them get pruned so branches stop falling on the driveway where our children frequently walk and play under. Sold. I watched the tree climber guy climb up into cloud level heights that made me question if I put him in danger. Nope. He navigated the whole tree and shimmied more dead branches off than I was aware were up there. Money well spent and a recommendation we'll made! Will only suggest this friendly crew to anyone needing tree services... incredible.
