We have a large wooded area. Unlimited gave us a very reasonable bid for removing 9 popular trees, each between 90 and 120 ft tall. Gama led a crew of 6 who felled the trees, hauled the trunks, and chipped the smaller stuff. They did all this work without damaging other trees or anything else on the property. They kept the gates closed and all the clutter tidy. We highly recommend, especially if you can get Gama and his crew. read more

Did not finish the job, made excuses to delay finishing our job ***Until the next Season***, went back on their verbal and written agreements, tore up ~200 square feet of our lawn, and then egregiously misrepresented the situation to avoid responsibility for not finishing the job. Details follow: 1) We agreed to remove the fallen portions of 3 trees for $8000. 2) They offered a cash discount, and gave us an invoice for $7000. 3) After the 2nd visit, they left half of the yard covered in trunks and debris and expressed disinterest in coming back for various reasons. 4) They offered another discount for delaying the job "until Fall," or they would keep the price the same and come back sooner to finish it. The new total was $6500, and we hold on to $1000 until the job is done, so we paid $5500 at their office. 4) Later they changed the deal, and said they were offering a discount to NOT finish the job at all ($6500), or else they were going to put off finishing our job "until the next season" (ie. 1-2 months out...). 6) They blamed my wife for being 'frustrated' as the reason these miscommunications occurred, not knowing that they were on speaker phone and I heard what they said and offered myself, and she was always friendly. They claim the delay in finishing the job is because they're "too busy with emergencies" (...until the next season...) 7) Then they demanded we pay the remaining $1000. We kept our word. They removed about 2 trees, and our yard is still covered in debris, entire tree trunks, and they left having done maybe 2/3 to 3/4 of the job if I'm being generous. Our yard is torn up badly with entire solid dirt patches, estimated ~200 square feet in addition to smaller patches throughout as a result of their tools, tractors, and methods, which we unfortunately signed away in our contract (we upheld our end...). read more

I had already given him a 3rd chance to make this right and yet, here I am again, not getting the work done. This last time he said I had to wait another 1 to 2 weeks which I believe was 2 weeks ago. I would typically walk away from this job under any other circumstances but I think getting this done for you is the right thing to do. This job has to be completed the same time we are in the area. At this point I will continue to see when scheduling your job will make the most sense, but it's going to be difficult. We never start our day off with a $600 job that's going to take us 2.5 hours. We need to have an oak tree removed from our yard and was requesting an estimate, however, we did not get past the gatekeeper. Unfortunately, my husband did not get his name. We wanted to let the owner know what occurred. The young man was advocating for the tree and gave my husband many reasons to not take it down. He droned on for several minutes. I had a 150 plus year old Red Oak that was growing over my house. It was diagnosed as terminal and was slowly dying. I hired Unlimited Tree Service. The crew worked hard to limit damage to my yard placing pads on the grass and they worked professionally to remove this tree. If I had to estimate, the tree was 75 percent over hanging my house. I called Unlimited for an estimate to remove a huge old oak tree which unfortunately had developed a bad split. The tree had a trunk at least 4' in diameter, 60 - 70 ft high and was hanging over my house. Jesus quickly responded and gave me an estimate which was VERY competitive. I hired them and the crew came early the next morning. It was a 6 man crew and they worked until after 6pm that afternoon. The climber was in the tree pretty much all day, carefully cutting and lowering branches to the crew below. Not a single branch touched my house. They ground up the entire tree, except for the trunk which was hauled away. The stump grinder came a couple of days later. The crew was careful and very pleasant to work with. I've heard others complain about lawn damage. Some damage is inevitable, given the heavy equipment needed for such a big job. The crew put down planks to minimize ruts in the lawn. The yard was not severely damaged and the crew patched what they could. The grass will re-grow in the fall with a bit of TLC. Cleanup was excellent. All-in-all, I would give this company an excellent review and would definitely use them again. read more

I have a tree that had a broken limb and a lot of dead wood in it. I also had another tree that needed pruning. I called Unlimbited and their representative came out within an hour. We discussed the scope of work I needed and he gave me an estimate right then and there. The price was very reasonable and agreed to the work. They had their crew out there within 2 hours and got the work down. All the crew members were professional and polite. They worked together and got everything done quickly and cleaned up. He gave me his cell number and answered each and EVERY time I called or sent a text. He didn't "earn my business" and then send me to someone else for questions/concerns. He was very honest and upfront with his pricing and was able to quickly answer and explain all aspects of the job (2 very tall oak trees). His crew showed up on time and ready to work. Each person was in uniform and very professional. They completed the job faster than anticipated and worked WONDERS!! They cleaned up before they left and didn't hesitate to answer a couple of questions I had. When I say they cleaned up, I mean CLEANED UP!!! My yard was cleaner than it was before they started. I am ready to have people over for a BBQ after how well they cleaned the yard (twigs, leaves and branches). I had lots of brush in a wheelbarrow that I was going to discard. They took care of it. I had leaves and twigs in the yard (away from the job). They took care of it. I had small piles of rocks and old stumps in the yard (again, away from the job). Needless to say...they took care of it. When the tree hit the ground, it created an indentation. They filled in the divets (a few inches deep) with dirt and smoothed it out. If I cut down my own tree, I don't know that I would/could have done a better job. They even cut of some of the wood and left it for me to burn in the fireplace (stacked beautifully of course). All I did was tell them I wanted to keep it for firewood. They took it upon themselves to cut and stack it. I figured they would just sit it to the side. They even sculpted the stump of a tree so I could use it as a stool. I am BLOWN away and will NEVER use or recommend another tree service. read more

I had a terrible customer service experience with this company. I requested a quote which took well over a week to obtain. When I tried to schedule them to perform the work, I was again delayed and they never returned my calls so I had to keep calling them even though I was told I would be contacted for an appointment. Then, they kept delaying since they "wouldn't be in the area" (guess I wasn't a valuable customer). Twice they said they would contact me to schedule an appointment the following week and neither time did I hear back from them. Also, their customer service can't schedule work to be done and constantly says "I'll get back to you", which is poor customer service and they don't actually call back. We inherited a fair amount of pine trees lining our back yard, and they had grown quite a bit since we got the house. After a storm, one had come down on our tulip poplar, which was barely holding it up, & if the tree fell the wrong way, it would take down 2 others that had been damaged by the storm but not felled - potentially damaging the neighbor's property. I called Unlimbited and they were prompt in coming out to assess the risk & give us an estimate, and since they were already dealing with a lot of storm damage all over, gave us the closest appointment they could. When a date came open sooner, they called us right away to ask if we wanted them to come sooner, and were there the next day. Our son interacted with them as I am not able to manage the stairs yet, and he said they were very careful to make sure no damage occurred to the neighboring properties, and that the house remained unscathed (we were very blessed that nothing had gone wrong sooner, I believe). Their work was well and professionally done, and I can't recommend them highly enough. If you need tree work done, call them, they're great! Unlimbited came recommended by my neighbors and I'd seen their ads in several mailers. I decided to contact them for an estimate on removing a dead tree and trimming several others. The estimator was on time, polite, and seemed to have good suggestions about options I should consider. Unfortunately for them, they were my first estimate for the job. When they came back with a price tag close to $3,000 (even after the discount), I was blown away. I figured all of my estimates would be that high and I would need to just grin and bare it. Luckily, they were the second highest bid (The Tree People was the first) and I ended up going with Final Cut Tree Care instead. If I could offer them any advice, it would be to provide a breakdown of costs for services. I was given a very large number with no idea why. Maybe if I had been given even a basic list of prices, I could have scaled back a few things and made the price more reasonable for my budget. read more

One of the most bizarre business transactions I've ever had. It started out great. A bonded tree expert came to the house gave us a very fair price and they were able to do the work the same week. Work was done, very satisfactorily until the end. There were some tire tracks on the front lawn from the crew's heavy truck. While it was not in the contract to fix the lawn, the crew foreman said "we'll be back next week to fix that" "Great", I said. I wrote a check for 80% of the total as agreed upon. We had a snow storm the next day so it was hard to see if the work was done properly. About a week went by and I got a call from the business office. I said I had not seen the crew return and would like to have that done before paying my balance. I then got an email that said a manager would be out to look at my property, wait to hear from us. About 3 weeks passed. We had more snow and we weather, so I thought the company may be waiting to finish. I waited a little longer because my last communication with the company said I would be hearing from them. Then, suddenly I get an email from the salesman telling me because of my unpaid balance, I had 24 hours to pay or they would take me to court. I was told that the foreman from the crew had no authority to speak for the company and they would not be fixing any tire marks. WHAT? I had been waiting to hear from the company, as instructed by them. I had no intention of not paying or even thinking about it. I expressed this displeasure with the business practices paid my bill, and never heard from the company again. Joseph came out, gave me a quote and then knocked off $100 if I had work done that day, which I really wanted to do since we had planned on opening our pool this weekend. Three gentlemen took down a tree over our pool, trimmed some over-hanging limbs from our neighbor's tree and trimmed a tree in the front that had branches over the rain spout and roof. We had several trees removed and were happy with the estimate, but sometimes the least expensive route is not the best. After they finished the yard was severely damaged with holes and bare spots. In addition, some of our flower beds were damaged to the point that the plants will need to be replaced. I would not recommend this company because of the lack of care for your property. read more

This company was beyond unprofessional, I recently called around to a number of local companies in the area and was stunned by these results. All of the other companies including the one I hired, came out and provided me with a straightforward and complete estimate. This one did not, when the estimator came out he offended me within the first two minutes by telling me to get everyone elses price and then he will beat it by $100.00. WHAT, how shady is this. I let him finish his speal and requested he send me a written estimate with his own price as everyone else had. Two days later he called and asked if I got my other prices and what they were so that he could beat them. I told him I did not have the other prices yet just to get him off the phone. Another two days later he called again and this time he started badmouthing other local companies, not even knowing which ones I had called. I told him at this point that I was not interested in his services and thanks anyway. The following day a crew of workers showed up at my house with the gentleman (a term I use very lightly for lack of a better term for him) claiming they were "in the area" and if I went with them they would do the work immediately and once again for $100 less then the other companies. Granted I had still never disclosed the other companies prices. I said no thank you and asked them to not return. Within an hour the original estimator again called my home and asked what the problem was and why I would not allow his crews to get started. I rather rudely this time explained if he called or came to my home again I would call the police and report him to the authorities. I am so overwhelmed by this whole situation that I feel I need to let as many people as possible know what shady people are out there and for them to beware. All of the other companies I called were professional and curteous, they gave me their prices and let me decide for myself, this is a right any homeowner should have. We contacted the office of "Un Limb ited" Tree Service Inc." Thursday April 20, 2017 to have a quote given for removing a dead tree and possibly trimming some other trees. They responded quickly and professionally by arranging an appointment with their Sales Representative Jeremy Levee for the next day Friday April 21st. Mr. Levee arrived promptly at the arranged time. We walked the property to see the dead tree and the others that needed trimming. His quoted price was very reasonable for the work needed and even more impressive was the scheduling of the work for the morning of Monday April 24th. A five man crew arrived early to the agree time and after a brief discussion of the work to be done with Israel the crew foreman, Mr. Levee also showed up to assure there was no misunderstanding about the project. Israel and crew worked swiftly and efficiently. They were polite, professional, and respectful of our property. At the end of the job, they made sure we were satisfied with the work performed. They left the wood wanted for firewood and cleaned and raked the yard to remove any unwanted branches and twigs.
