They were great! Professional, quick to get the work done and reasonably priced. They removed a tree for me last year and did stump grinding last week. They worked with me on the price which I greatly appreciated. Highly recommend! read more

Tyson's tree trimmed several trees for us and did a fantastic job. They were early and completed the job on time. The trees never looked better and healthier. I strongly y recommend Tyson. read more

The Tysons Tree team was thorough and careful throughout the entire process. I received estimates from several services for pruning two very large oak trees on my property that had dead branches and light obscuring inner growth. Only Tysons Tree noted that pruning large limbs in the summer could negatively affect the health the trees. They worked with me to plan out pruning I needed ASAP and work that would best be done in winter. When they came for the pruning, the team was diligent and very safety focused. The work turned out great, I get a lot more sun light through the tree canopies and no longer worry about falling branches. read more

We used Tyson's Tree Service to remove a dead tree from our yard and trim branches from other trees. The quote was very resonable, and was far less than another quote we received. The crew did an wonderful job - showing up on time, managing the work, and cleaning up all debris when they were finished. Everyone of them was pleasant and courtetous. Not only was the crew terrific, but when I discovered that I had made a mistake regarding the work and cost estimate that I authorized, the office immediately responded to my inquiry and changed the invoice to reflect the work done, rather than the higher amount I had initially agreed to. I highly recommend this business based on the outstanding quality of their work and the excellent customer service they provided. read more

Chris' Tyson's Tree crew was professional, thorough and precise. They pruned and trimmed all the trees in our yard, front and back, performing terrific work. They were careful about cleaning and removing everything. Highly recommended and will use them in the future. read more

Excellent job! Tyson's Tree was very reasonably priced, very professional, and fast. I cannot recommend them highly enough - 5 stars!

Several large trees taken down with a giant crane! Omg they worked all day and had to come back the next day. Guys were polite and cooperative. Thanks for the chips! read more

The cherry tree in our front yard had grown so much it had grown into our house and the branches were too low over our walkway as well. We called Tyson's Tree based on a recommendation by friends. They were able to set up an appointment very quickly, and when they came out they quickly explained our options and the pricing for each option. Once we selected the work to be done -- cutting down the crown and shaping -- we were able to set up a time to get the work done very quickly as well. They explained what they would need in terms of space (e.g., open parking spaces) to do the work as well. The workers showed up on time, confirmed with me the work they were to do, and started on it immediately. When finished they reviewed it with me as well. The quality of work was outstanding. We were extremely happy with Tyson Tree from start to finish and will definitely use them again. read more

I was very pleased with their service and price for my overgrown shrub removal. I would definitely use them again!

We have used Tysons Tree twice now, both to take down large trees and prune branches from our yard. Chris is wonderful to work with, and his crew is professional and does a great job with the work and cleaning up. I can't recommend them highly enough enough! read more

We had a tree fall on our house in the middle of the night. Tyson's was here within 30 minutes of my call and assessed the situation. They had a team out the next morning and successfully removed the tree from the roof without causing any additional damage and cleaned everything up without issue. I couldn't ba happier with their service! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for tree services! read more

I had a very positive experience with Tysons Tree. Two big trees in the front yard had to be removed with the crane, as well as three in the back which required using the crane over the roof of the house. They came back the next day to remove the stumps. The well trained team was very careful throughout, particularly in accessing my neighbor's yard. And the price was considerably lower than other estimates. I highly recommend. read more

Just had Chris and his crew take down a difficult to access HUGE tree in my backyard with a crane. The weather was supposed to be getting rough but they were here first thing. The crane was put in place and our driveway protected. It took about four hours, and the weather cooperated. Everything was cleaned up, stowed and the wood we wanted to keep stacked up. Except for the now removed tree, it was like they had never been here. Mother Nature opened the heavens and started a downpour right after they left to help a homeowner with a tree on their roof. This is a turnkey outfit, and not my first experience with Tyson's Tree Service. Every time they are efficient, fair priced and THEY GET THE JOB DONE!!! read more

Tyson's just completed two long days of tree removal at my home in Fairfax Station. Exceptional service on all fronts from tree removals with a crane for a massive white oak to cabling down a large tall eastern white pine. The white oak was huge over 176 years old but they took it down safely with a highly skilled crew lead by expert crane operator. Truly a show to watch. They showed up on time, worked extremely hard and continued to cleanup the work areas throughout the process. The oak tree was right next to and overhanging the house, so naturally they blow off the roof when done. The entire tree removal process from obtaining the initial estimate to completion deserved an exceptional rating with superior value added. It was all the little things that were done during each day without asking that made it a pleasure to work with Tyson's. They went above and beyond what I was expecting and will definitely be using them exclusively for all future work. We have lot's of trees and I will look forward to working with them again. Thanks read more

I could not be more pleased with how they conducted themselves and with the way they worked to complete the job in a timely and safe manner. They were very careful about our property as well as the neighbors' property. They even went the extra mile and went door to door giving the residents time to move their cars because they would be blocking their pipe stem driveway. Excellent!! read more

Very impressed by the professionalism and efficiency performed by Tyson's Tree Service's crew. Used a crane to take down a huge pine on my property and ground the stumps the very next day. Price was competitive as well. I will be using Tyson's Tree Service going forward. Thank you Chris and Kevin for a job well done! read more

I had some tree trimming and trees removed by Tyson's. I have used them before as well and happy with their service. Thank you!

They brought a cherry picker but didn't use it. The team of four worked great, highly professional, and "exceeded our expectations," actually. They had two climbers up about 50 feet clearing a failing oak (with wilt?). They were extremely safety conscious throughout and made sure they didn't harm surrounding (established) vegetation. They were deliberate and prompt - took 3.5 hours about. Definitely an excellent experience - I learned a lot myself! - and I would recommend TYSON'S TREE SERVICE. I would reach out to them first for my next pruning project. read more

Tysons Tree removal - give them a [re]try!! Years ago, i received estimates from Tysons Tree, but the estimates were high. I gave them another chance and they came through!! The work to evaluate the job and obtain the estimate was rapid and thorough. The crew showed the next morning. They had top-notch equipment to get the job done. They performed the job with professionalism and concern/respect for my personal property. The crew cleaned up after the job was done. I will re-hire Tysons Tree again and again. I hope you will consider them as well. Overall, i feel it was great value for the work performed. read more

I was extremely impressed with Tyson's Tree Service. They responded within 24 hours, came by to give me an estimate that same day, and set up my appointment. My service was done the next day. Their arborists did an excellent job, and made sure that all branches, etc. were cleared from my yard, including the deck, and porch. They are the most efficient tree service I have used and I would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

We had a great experience with Tyson's Tree service. They removed a very large red oak. Very clean job and amazing price.

Tyson's Tree has been my tree company for 8+ years. Why? Excellent service, courteous employees, great prices and beautiful work. Their crews work efficiently and always leave the site clean. They are professional and you can count of them 100%. You don't have to think twice, give them a call. You won't be sorry. read more

Made appointment for Chris at Tyson's Tree Services to come out at 10am and I took off work to meet him at the house. He never showed up, never called or anything. At 10:30am I called the office and spoke a guy and he said he would have Chris call me. I waited and waited but Chris never called or text to say he was sorry for not showing up or that he was running late, etc. Would have taken him five seconds to send me a text saying he couldn't make it. Wasted couple of hours of my work vacation time because I took off work just to be home to meet Chris. Terrible customer service and would warn others they could do this to you so my advice would be to choose another tree service company. read more

My dad used to work for this company for many years and he never had a bad thing to say about them. He always used to praise the owner (Mark) not only in his interpersonal relationship but also his professionalism with the work. They responded in an emergency to a tree that fell on my house immediately, cut, hauled the wood, and cleaned up. I know from my dad that Tyson's Tree Inc. owns many of their own equipment, certified arborists, and take their work seriously. Unfortunately, there is a tree in a critical state and ready to fall and there was no other company I turned to. I immediately called Tyson's Tree and spoke with Mark. I am absolutely confident he will resolve it not only in a timely manner but also with professionalism. read more

I cannot recommend Chris and his team enough! I had 5 companies come out to provide me with quotes for cleaning up an uprooted tree and providing recommendations on any additional trees that needed to be cut or trimmed. Chris was the most responsive of the group - he came to my property within 1 hr of reaching out, did a walk through and provided a detailed recommendation on what he suggested and why. He also priced out each item individually and the cost if done all together. He provided by far the best price for taking down an extremely large double lead oak and even when it took longer to do than anticipated he did not ask for an adjustment in price. It took longer than he anticipated to do the job and he was extremely communicative. He came on site a couple of times to check on the crew and the work and the team did a great job of cleaning up all the debris. Pricing was competitive with other companies - a little higher for some of the standard trees but not outrageous and Chris matched the prices I was receiving. I had been putting off doing this work for years and when I need additional work done, Chris and Tyson's Tree Services will def be my first call. read more

During Monday's high winds, we had a large pine tree get uprooted and lay at a 45 degree angle, resting on another tree. We began calling various tree services to get estimates. Tyson's Tree Service promptly called us back and within a few hours, provided us with a fair and better estimate than two competitors and were able to begin the work the following day. The following day, the crew worked efficiently and tirelessly and I decided to inquire about the cost for removing two additional large pines that I feared would come down during the next wind storm. Not only did Tyson's Tree Service work with me to provide a great deal for getting the additional trees removed but they also called another of their crews to help so the job was finished the same day. I would and will recommend this company to anyone needing tree services and plan to use them again. read more

Had Tyson's Tree Service out for an estimate. The price quoted was reasonable - not the highest, but not the lowest. I originally picked them over of the other three estimates because I was eager to get the job done and they were able to come out within a week to perform the service. Long story short, my date was delayed 3 weeks due to inclement weather on my original date, which really ticked me off. But when the 3 guys came to take down a VERY large tree that was just feet away from my house, they did an amazing job! I had to leave twice to run errands and felt comfortable leaving them there to do their work. They do not vacuum up every piece of saw dust, but they cleaned up FAR, FAR better than I expected. Very professional work - these guys knew exactly what they were doing. After the scheduling debacle, the three workers did a really great job. And I can now confidently recommend their work. read more

We recently had to have a tree removed from our front yard. Within 24 hours, an arborist came to assess the condition of our tree - he was very professional and personable. The price was competitive with the other services we had researched. We arranged for the tree to be removed the next day. The arborist called twice to let us know when the crew would be there to take down the tree, which we felt was excellent service. Even better, the crew arrived when he said they would. 45 minutes later, the tree was gone. It was pretty cool to see how the men took the tree down. They left the area clean of all debris and were very careful of the other plants and shrubs in our yard. read more

Tyson's Tree does outstanding work. Their prices are competitive, and their staff is knowledgeable, skilled, thoroughly professional, prompt, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. They arrive when they say they will, do beautiful work, and clean up impeccably afterwards. I will definitely call them whenever I need tree work again. absolutely fantastic job! took care of my tree needs and provided exellent service! tyson trees omega lul come by me anytime!

I can't speak to the actual work they do, but don't even bother calling them unless you have lots of cash you need to blow, and a pretty healthy dose of patience as well. As others have noted, their trucks are everywhere so I figured that they must be doing something right and contacted them for an estimate for my tree work - trimming some, removing a number of others. The office was very nice and I was able to get someone out within a week. On the scheduled time, the estimator was at my door. So far so good. Or not. The guy kept asking me what kind of tree we were looking at. Seemed like he should know that? As we started walking through the yard, I noticed he wasn't writing anything down so I stated that we had a bunch of trees to work on, and asked if he needed some paper to write it down. Nope, he would remember it. Okey dokey. We walked around and discussed each tree, and what needed to be done. Most were either trim it or cut it down and grind the stump. Nothing too crazy. We get to the last tree, and he can't remember which were trim and which were cut so we had to go over it again. This time, when I reminded him to include the stump grinding, he said they didn't really doooooo that, and I should call some stump experts. I thought he meant for just one tree that is problematic, but he clarified that he meant for all the trees. ?? Wait, what? A tree service company that doesn't grind stumps? After pushing a bit he relented that they did actually do that but I would be better off using a different company. This was silly and I asked that he include the cost of the stump grinding for all but the problematic tree. When he presented the estimate to me, he got about half way down the list, and started dropping the prices as he went. Why would you bother to write up the entire order line item, then correct yourself on about half the trees? I asked if the removals included the grinding, and he said, "No, that is extra, but I didn't include that on here because... well, I just didn't want to." Then he said each stump would be between $50-$150 "ballpark". What about a written estimate is ballpark?? He also didn't total it all up so he didn't get to hear me laugh out loud when I added it up. It was literally twice what the other estimates were, not including the stumps. That is a $3,000 difference folks. So, if you want a 'ballpark' estimate, and you want to have to call another company to finish the work, and pay about double, then by all means, call Tyson's. Otherwise, there are a number of great companies that do great work at reasonable prices. read more

Tyson's tree service removed a 80-90' recently deceased Tulip Popular tree from our back yard recently. The arborist who assessed the job was quick and knowledgeable, this was followed up by a phone call from the front office for scheduling and to see if I had any questions. The guys who removed the tree worked as hard as any I have ever seen, they were strong, competent and left a clean work area. Our job was difficult due to the fact they couldn't bring a crane in and the tree was right next to a new 6' wooden fence, plus they did not have access to cut from the neighbor's yard. The men worked all day removing this tree and I thought it was a fair price for the work done. As a professional horticulturist (Tyson Tree was unaware of my occupation) I am always being asked for referrals on tree work and I would definitely recommend Tyson's tree. read more

I contacted 5 companies for cost estimates to take down a huge oak tree in a difficult area of my backyard. Leroy Baxter was the first one to call me back, the first person to come out and give me an estimate, and Tyson's was the lowest price of the three companies that called back (the other two companies took an extra 4-5 days to call me back). Tyson's finished the job in one day, cleaned up all the mess, and did it all in a highly professional manner. I highly recommend this company! read more

Called on tysons tree service first because I see the trucks everywhere. After a huge tree fell during bad storms, they sent a rude old man to give us an estimate. He could see we were in a bad situation with the felled tree and gave us the high pressure sales tactic. He quoted a huge price and said if we didn't take it on the spot, we wouldn't see him again for at least 3 weeks due to all of the other tree jobs we was negotiating. We told him he was the first estimate and he was very high pressure said that no one else was coming for estimates due high demand for tree removal. What a jerk. We got several other estimates and had another company do a great job at half the price quoted by tysons. I would never call tysons again. read more
