Awesome from start to finish. I had a quote in hand about an hour after I used the Yelp Project functionality for the removal of a tree that was in the process of falling over. This quote was the best one received and was very reasonable. The crew was onsite the next day and despite a two hour time estimate were finished in half that time. They swarmed that tree like crazy. It was clear they knew exactly what they were doing, despite the tree being in a somewhat challenging place. Plus they didn't mind me hanging around to watch - I wasn't checking their work but just wanted to see how something like this was done. Update: I had them do my lawn for the last two years. Got a few other jobs done with them. They still do good lawncare, and good price - they do every two weeks. I'm reducing two points because they don't know how to do Decks. Also, they are inconsistent in when they come in to mow the lawn. Also, they dropped me because two of their clients dropped them in my neighborhood and it wasn't profitable enough for them to keep coming to mow my lawn. I needed a landscaping company to help with my backyard. There were a ton of trees, and the grass wasn't able to grow. Most of the trees were dead, oe beginning to lean. Every time it rained the backyard turned into a muddy mess. Ventura Landscaping came out, and provided recommendations to fix the problem. This past weekend, Mauricio and his team took down a bunch of trees; next week they will be back to help get some grass growing. I was very impressed with the work they did clearing the backyard of trees, it was obvious they know what they are doing. I was connected with Ventura when requesting a quote on Yelp for landscaping services. Maria replied immediately and I was told they were going to mow the lawn the next day. However, when I went to my property the work was not done. I had a showing that day with potential clients, and they were not happy because they have pets and wanted a nice lawn. I understand my backyard is overgrown with weeds, however, my front and side lawn are cut by the HOA. But $120 to mow a 10x20 ft space is unrealistic. Being told my lawn needed multiple employees to cut, hand rake and bag lawn clippings is absurd. I pay $200 for a fall cleanup at my personal house which is 1 acre, and that includes mowing, edging, blowing, mulching and trimming my bushes. It's been 1 whole week since I spoke with Maria, I've exchanged over 20 emails and the lawn is still not cut. I have another showing tomorrow and I'm scrambling to find someone else. I hope anyone reading this review understands how important scheduling and timeliness is when running a business. As I check my emails this is the second time I connected with Ventura, exchanged 10+ emails and Mauricio did not complete the work. Maria said they have "300 clients and do not care if I left an honest review on Yelp." I just want to note this is the 2nd time I contacted you, and the second time the work was not completed when a date/time was confirmed. I know you do great work, that is why I contacted you, but as a landlord I need to trust contractors because I don't live in VA. We'd gotten a few quotes for replacing outdated, overgrown landscaping in front of our house. Earlier in the year we'd had most of the old stuff removed but the project stalled and the front beds ended up full of stiltgrass and clover, so we were back to Square 1. Last week I contacted Mauricio for helping remove some of the branches and weeds in my backyard. He had agreed to come at 1pm on Friday, September 20, 2024 for the service. Before Friday, I double checked with him to make sure that he would come because I had to take half day off from work. He confirmed on the phone but did not show up. I called his phone number twice and he didn't pick up the phone. I was very disappointed of him. If you were not able to make it for the service or wanted to cancel the order, you should have a decency of informing the customer. I contacted Ventura Landscaping for cleaning my lawn and putting down new mulch. Mauricio came on Thursday for providing free estimate and then provided the service on Friday morning. Mauricio and his team were very professional , polite and helpful. They carefully cleaned up their the area, removed dead shrub and shaped the bushes. I was amazed with the different set of tools these guys had to perform this task. Later, he put generous amount of mulch ensuring there is good mulch thickness maintained throughout the lawn. Mauricio has a peculiar quality of attention to detail and ensures that his work is appreciated by making small changes which look perfect. He also mentioned that they don't do contracts because they don't want their customers or them to get stuck in their services if they don't like it, which I think is quite honest and true. They do monthly services as needed or one time service as in my case. The lawn was in a pretty bad shape but Ventura Landscaping has now made it look beautiful. The transformation was done in almost 3-4 hours and on such a short time frame. The price is also economical and affordable. I am definitely going to use them for any future lawn services.
