We had a movie at Brenden Theater and we wanted a bite . We hadn't been to the movies down there in awhile . So, it had been awhile at Fuzios as well . We heard that it was under new ownership. That didn't change their great menu and service ! We like to sit at the bar and watch the cocktail preparations! Madisyn made a fabulous slightly dirty Gin Martini for me ! My hunny went for the speciality drink and meal for Graffiti Weekend . A Chevy 55 Tequila cocktail and a Graffiti Polish Bacon Wrapped dog . The Dog was really great ! The potato salad with it was a bit bland and over dressed . I ordered as a firecracker item ! This time 3 Firecracker tacos . They never disappoint! Great casual dinning experience. Our rib eye steak was prepared as requested and service was attentive.

After an afternoon show at the Gallo Center, we stopped by Fuzio's for an early dinner. We decided to sit inside--there was plenty of seating available, with both standard tables and high-tops. We chose a lower table and were seated right away. Our server was polite and attentive, quickly taking our drink order. They were featuring an Oktoberfest by Sierra Nevada, which was smooth and flavorful--definitely worth trying. I ordered the Oktoberfest special: bratwurst with purple cabbage and mashed potatoes topped with white gravy. The dish came with two bratwursts, sliced in half, and was hearty and delicious. Fuzio's continues to be a great spot for lunch or dinner. A nice bonus--they validate parking for the lot right behind the restaurant. read more

We popped into Fuzios for an impromptu date night. I had been several times before but my partner hadn't so I showed him the ropes. We were sat promptly and had our drink orders taken. We started off with the giant Bavarian pretzel and the cheese sauce is absolutely amazing. I opted for the rigatoni alfuzio add shrimp and my partner got the firecracker pork fusilli which was also delicious. I am telling you now and I will die on this hill do not get full and even if you do you have to order the brown butter pecan cake for dessert! It's served warm with ice cream and is so heavenly I promise you won't regret it. read more

Excellent across the board!!! Brussel sprouts 10/10 aperfect starter a healthy and delicious. Ribeye 10/10 I was overwhelmed by the size at first but it will make an excellent breakfast for the morning too. Grilled to perfection and seasoned with the right about of seasoning and butter. Tasty mashed potatoes and crisp green beans. Pork Chop 10/10 a very generous portion and again cooked perfectly with exact science of seasoning. Quick and friendly service all around. Our host sat us immediately and to our preference. He was very polite and professional. Our server Wes was very friendly and helpful all evening. Clean restrooms, but women's set up a little strange. I am met a friend at Fuzio's. We had a drink and appetizers inside. She had to leave. I wanted to stay. It was my first time and they were having a music festival outside. I asked her waitress if I could sit outside she said it was first come first serve. I waited outside to order another drink and appetizer, but had to go into the bar to ask if somebody could help me even though several people passed me and didn't acknowledge me after I ordered. They told me that my table was reserved and that I could go inside if I wanted to stay. I told them just to pack up my drink and appetizer and that I would just leave. I was told this because they said I did not ask a host to be seated out there. The whole thing was just not a good experience and I do not really want to go back. read more

We haven't been here in awhile, so gave it a Saturday lunch try. Overall, a nice patio for outside, inside is pretty bland. good service, food was pretty good. We had ahi nachos for an app - average - and 3 pastas for entree. The pork fusilli was good , pretty spicy and unique. The rigatoni al fuzio was well prepared and had a generous amount of bacon. The quinoa was also well prepared but had red peppers (not on the description) which turned my daughter off a bit. Overall, everything was ok, not great. Our party of ten chose Fuzio for dinner before symphony last night. They were gracious to add to our original seating as friends wanted to join us. Our reservation was at 5:00 pm to allow ample time. Olivia was our server and she is delightful, knowledgeable and efficient. Our beverages were delivered as we perused the menu. We were able to order by couple which we prefer rather than one large check to figure out. I ordered the skirt steak salad, which was a bit chewey, my husband had the filet mignon, not as rare as he would like. Others ordered the lettuce cups, very good, the pork chop, delicious, the portabella mushroom pasta, delicious, pan seared chicken, tasty. Most enjoyed their choices. Some were in the mood for dessert and ordered the creme brulee and chocolate gelato, both very good. Overall, it was a positive experience, however, the vibe is lively so conversation was challenging. If you want quiet dining, this not your place. Our dinner ended on an unexpected but delightful note when Olivia informed us that our entire bill was paid in full by an anonymous party! So thoughtful and very generous! read more

Finally went back after the experience we had a year ago where we called to make a reservation and upon arriving were told they had no table for us and did not put our name down. The owner offered to make it right by comping our next visit. So one year later here we are! We called ahead to put our names down for a table, were told we could just walk in, but insisted we put our names down anyway and good thing we did! Fuzio is one of the only restaurants open within walking distance to the Gallo Center on Sundays. Service was great, they had a big crowd but managed the rush well. We had the Frito Misto and Firecracker Lettuce Wraps to start and each had a Clausmopolitan, which is the tastiest of their holiday drinks. For entrees we had the tritip and a burger, all food was excellent. Our servers were understanding of our hesitance to come back after our last experience. We appreciated the gesture in comping our meals. We will be back! read more

As we were driving from Las Vegas to Southern Oregon, we stopped for an overnight stay in Modesto. After a 9 hour drive, we wanted a nice place for food and a nice glass of wine. Our hotel recommended Fuzio Universal Bistro. The seating has to be outside because at 7:00 PM and very mild temperatures outside, the A C was far too cold, so we selected to be seated outside. It is a pleasant location, on a mall type street. One strongly annoying issue was a neighboring restaurant that was blasting far too loud thumping "music". It almost caused us to leave, but we were too tired to search for another place. We ordered very good wines and were happy with them. We both (my wife and me) ordered a steak salad. It came out similar to a Caesar Salad, but different, but included 6 oz of steak. IT WAS FANTASTIC! Just that salad would cause us to return if we are ever near here again. Our server commented that we should try their Tri-tip, if we liked that steak on our salads. If in Modesto, don't pass up Fuzio Universal Bistro. It is outstanding. read more

4 of us came here after experiencing an opera presented by Modesto Opera at the State theater a few blocks away, featuring my son as Prince Charming. It was recommended by a member of the audience who overheard me talking to another of my sons. We started with with calamari and the steak bites appetizers, both apps were well prepared, tender, and delicious. Two of the four of us imbibed, the prince had a bacon old fashioned, my other son a Sierra Nevada. 2 of us had the Firestacked burgers, medium-rare. Our only issue was that both of them were more medium in temp, the flavors more than made up for this. We also had a steak salad and a Fresh Catch pasta. The taste and presentation were excellent. Everyone was quite happy with their dinners and we plan on coming back to Fuzio on our next trip to Modesto. Hopefully it won't be in 30 years, my previous visit here. We did not have a bad experience, however, it was not good either. I made a reservation by calling. I was there on time and told our server about our reservation. Only later to receive a text that it was cancelled. No biggie we still ate there. The food was fine. The descriptions were much better than the result. The food was fine but nothing special. And the customer service was unfortunately lacking. We waited a very long time before anyone came to our table. We never had anyone check in us until we were done with lunch. Our waters were not refilled despite asking. It was unfortunate. Again, not a bad experience but certainly not good. We likely won't return. read more

My wife and I booked their baquet room in February of 2024 for our small wedding reception! The staff were amazing, food was very yummy and drinks were on point! The person we kept in contact with for scheduling and answering questions was very helpful! They had the room set up with center pieces and we were free to move tables around how we please. The ambiance was just perfect! It was a wonderful experience and we were very happy with it all for our special day! Big shout out to everyone at Fuzios! My wife and I visited Fuzio's last Sunday (Feb. 18th) for a late lunch. We decided to eat here, having done so a couple of times before, and knew he food was good. The Calamari was good, and so was the Blueberry Lemonade cocktail. Everything else...well, I can say we were extremely disappointed. Just YUCK! I had the Firecracker Pork Fusilli. It came out really dark throughout, and it tasted burnt. Burnt as if the pulled pork was covered with a sauce and overcooked in a crockpot. It was inedible. The burnt taste permeated the whole dish. My wife had the Pink Shrimp Linguine and said, "it tasted like it came from a can and tasted fishy as if the shrimp was not fresh." I also pointed out to my wife that the shrimp were not cleaned (deveined). When I pointed it out to our wait person, she said, "ewww! I can see it." It was as if our meals went from being prepared by a Chef on previous visits to being prepared by a lazy cook on this latest visit. We won't be back. read more

I am not sure what to call this place. It is great, that is for sure, but it sort of looks like a nice diner and sort of like a bar. It has a separate space for large groups and sits right in Downtown. You might think it loud, but it is not. It serves food from everywhere and all of it is good. So, I'll just call it one of the best places in Modesto to eat. We love this place. It is fun and the food is amazing. There is parking in a lot next door and there are places to walk before or after eating. You can eat inside or out. The deliver, have pick up and take away. The place is very clean and just super fun looking. Again, we love it. We have been a couple of times now. Try all of their starters--really do that. Their lettuce wraps are never boring, filled with firecracker marinated chicken, portobello mushrooms, water chestnuts, carrot-ginger salad, sweet chili sauce and spicy hoisin sauce--oh ya. The baked brie dip is so tasty, but heavy so be careful, with sautéed garlic, onion and fresh thyme baked and served with crisp crostinis. Share this one. Their shoe string potatoes with thyme and roasted garlic aioli are worst tossing the diet. They are crispy and I love the garlic. Now, the pan seared brussels sprouts I can and will live without. I don't like them, but my husband thinks they are great. Personally, I save their bacon wrapped dates for desert. They are perfect after dinner. The grilled ribeye is our favorite steak there, it has 14oz certified angus beef seasoned with garlic, and ancho chili, and russet mashed. Get that rare. It is the best. The King salmon and the tri tip are also on our top list for great. The service is ever so nice here and you will have a great time. Have fun. read more

Located in the heart of downtown Modesto, this place and a nice restaurant that would be good for any type of date. It's right across the street from the movie theater which makes it a great place to grab a bite to eat either before or after a movie. We cane to this place during a slow time so the waitress was very attentive and nice. The food was actually very good. My wife got the pasta which had great flavor but the spice was a bit overpowering, she had to order more sour cream to help with the heat. My flat bread pizza was very good. Overall we came here for a quick lunch and we weren't disappointed. I would come back here for a nice dinner to try some other items on their menu. read more

Also tried friend's old fashioned on the rock and it's good if you like just whiskey in your drink but it immediately gave me acid reflux. Their Brussels sprouts was delicious! I'm from out of state. I came here for dinner because it's my favorite restaurant in Modesto. My servers Shawn and Carlie were very attentive and friendly. I decided to ordered the firecracker chicken. When it came out and I got to try it, I found that it wasn't for my taste palette. I informed my servers and they went above and beyond to replace it with the firecracker pork. That meal was amazing and my second dish came out almost immediately. We came here for the first time last Friday. We were at gallo theater nearby and decided to check it out. They also had live music setting up in front of the restaurant which was great! We were sat pretty quickly and the waitress was very speedy and friendly. The food and drinks were delicious! We had burgers, our kids had pizza and I had a skinny margarita and a delicious mojito- I forget the name of it. I wish I would have taken a picture of the burger. I'd like to begin by giving a shout-out to Gregorio and reason alone for the 5-Star rating. We sat at a table where I can see the kitchen and Gregorio was not stop the entire time we were there. Tried out the new brunch menu today, and it was delicious. Creative spin on the traditional brunch items, prepared well. I ordered the Start the Day Salad, a brekkie spin on spinach salad. Bacon, egg sunny side up, and garlic vinaigrette. Delicious! Firecracker eggs Benedict, rib eye steak with eggs, and the biscuits with bacon gravy rounded out our group's choices. Location: Perfect location. Parking isn't the greatest but doable. Walking distance to the hotel where my in-laws are staying at. Inside the restaurant: It is clean. I like the vibe. My husband loved the music they were playing lol. I don't know about the men's bathroom but the ladies bathroom was pretty clean. Service: Service was very good. Our waitress was very friendly and checked up on us several times to make sure we were ok and check to see if we needed anymore drinks. Refilled our water/drinks when needed.
