There was 10 of us dining, laughing and drinking have a great Saturday nite. Yes we were a little louder the other people in the restaurant but then again our made up to about half of the patrons there. Our group consist of all Asians and a white manager came up and asked multiple times to keep it down. I admit we were loud but it was just the way he asked us! The staff at Fuzio are so welcoming and professional. I was driving thru Modesto on a long road trip to LA andI was short on time. The team made my order as quickly as possible and even offered me a complimentary drink while I waited. The ambiance looked calm and inviting, although I ordered to-go. Been here a couple of times for their Firecracker Pork Fusilli which has not disappointed, felt more in a carnivore mood so went with the Firecracker Tri Tip Steak I had heard good things about. On top of that, Fuzios is always open when no one else is, and is usually very accommodating. Better food than Tresseti's and way better value than Dewz, the only catch is the cramped, slightly outdated ambiance. Fuzio's is a wonderful little place. You need a reservation on weekends evenings for sure. Call ahead Amazing place that I to go to if I'm headed to the Gallo center (about 4x a year). Also good for dates or outings where you just want something nice to eat. A few few times there have been festivals in the area that were a nice addition to sit and watch and their patio is good too if the weather allows. One time they were having a very fun R and B cover concert right outside. I really enjoyed dining and listening to the music. Highly recommend happy hour for drinks and half-price apps I believe between 3-5 weekdays. I really love their firecracker tri-tip dinner with scalloped potatoes and roasted vegetables I have ordered their calamari pasta and it was rubbery. It's seriously tasted like rubber bands were deep fried, I used to really love their calamari appetizer here, lightly breaded in olive oil and lemon. When I had the pasta version here it was gross. Over all there stuff is excellent I have been here maybe 20 to 30 trips here over the last 10 years that was my only negative experience. Highly recommend the happy hour for half price apps, and I am pretty much only an occasional drinker but the apps are worth a fun meet up with a friend group where everyone orders a different app to share. I also was a member of shadow chasers and the owner has been a big sponsor of local running, let use the meeting room free which is just nice for a local charity. I also am not crazy about some of their lunch items, but most of their dinner entrees are gourmet tasting, consistent great and are beyond amazing The chicken and salmon are also very good They used to have firecracker pork sliders that they did away with, but they were fantastic. Try their scalloped potatoes and their butterscotch peanut butter cake. If you can I don't know how they have achieved such gooey delight from such a simple dessert but wow, you should try it. I dont even like peanut butter, but tastes like pecan praline caramel cake. Good creme brulee and also fresh cheese cake. The firecracker pasta is a favorite.. its fun and creative, needs a sauce other than the barbecue pork in my humble opinion, but it is tasty. Spicy is good with me. I do like the bacon wrapped dates and their appetizers a lot. They also pour very good drinks and it's a nice place to come for a date, but I've also seen plenty of families having a nice evening here. Even large groups are accommodated with good service. Very convenient to hit up before a concert, for a date night, a night out or on May 4 etc. Service is also very good consistently, even when busy. The server also couldn't be bothered to be attentive and kept talking to her other customers while slowly getting my order together. We have been coming regularly for several years, the inside of the restaurant now looks tacky and the new menu has removed several of favorite items. It's neat in a prime location; very convenient for the downtown area. The music they play is the perfect distraction. We used to frequent the Fuzio restaurant in San Francisco back in the day. It was always a local favorite, and we were sad when they closed that location. But, there is this location in Modesto still! We dropped in with the parents for a Saturday lunch and were hoping all would be the same as the old SF place. Located in the downtown hub of stores and restaurants, there is a covered pay parking garage connected which makes it really easy to access. The interior is nice and super clean with lots of windows to let the light in, and to watch the passersby. And, they have a great outdoor space as well. Our server, Lisseth, was sweet, and attentive to our needs. Thank you! We just had to order the famous firecracker pork fusilli dish, just to see if it was the same as the old restaurant. Well, it was really good.... buuuut, not quite the same as before. Something was missing for us. Not as spicy or 'rich'. My husband and I came here for a date night. We were seated very as soon as we walked in, it was a very early dinner and they were not busy at all. The service wasn't the best. The drink I ordered was prepared a little strange, it was supposed to have a coconut rim, but it also had coconut all over the outside of the glass and the glass was SUPER sticky. Very weird. The drinks were good, I should have sent mine back, it was pretty uncomfortable to drink. Food was good, not super memorable. I included photos down below so you can see what we ate....They had good music playing, good food. Service wasn't the best. It took the waitress a long time to check in us or to bring us drinks. Great service and the food was excellent! The bread was so delicious. I ordered the Rigatoni Alfuzio and added chicken, my Mom ordered the Fuzio Firecracker Pork Fusili both plates were delicious. I had combined her leftovers with mine which made an excellent dish with a bit of kick! Our waiter was very attentive and service was excellent. We ordered the strawberry cheesecake for dessert and it came out missing a large piece of the cake. Our server brought us out another slice and we were able to keep the other but it was so good I forgot to take the picture before devouring it. Will most definitely be coming back! read more

The FIRECRACKER LETTUCE WRAPS are literally FIRE (amazing)! We get them every time we come and they never fail. Drinks are always consistently good and for the most part service is too. We've also had the piggy piggy pizza, it's delicious, & we'll basically everything we've tried thus far has been really good. My family and I had a wonderful dinner the night of 8/4/2024. The meal was fabulous and what made it special was the service we received beginning to end. Our server's name was Nelly. She greeted us cheerfully and helped us make our meal choices. Nelly is a foodie and it came across as genuine hospitality. She knew the menu inside-and-out. First went here last week and have gone back 2 more times; once for dinner, twice for lunch. Dinner- The ribeye, pasta dishes, martinis, dessert all were amazing, service was lacking to the point it effected the overall vibe for dinner. To spend close to $200 to have poor service isn't ideal. 3/5 stars Lunch both times food just as amazing. They have a great lunch special and their burgers are good. Service was much better. 5/5 stars. This will be a weekly spot at least for lunch. read more

We typically enjoy Fuzio's. It is always busy and a bit slow to serve, but the service and food is typically good. Tonight, they service was slow and the food was just ok. The lettuce wraps chicken tasted a bit off and somewhat over cooked. The chicken on the chopped salad tasted a bit old. The peanut butter pecan cake was good, but the sauce tasted like it had been rushed and not thoroughly cooked/prepared. The best part of the food on this night was the creme brûlée. I feel that tonight was just a bit of an odd night, and will likely try again. But it was not as good as typical and the servers seemed a bit stretched thin. read more

FOOD: Really enjoyed the burger! Had it with the Caesar salad which was a bit bland and basic but the burger made up for it. Cooked just right with some pink like it should be and super juicy. Also had the calamari which was again basic but good! Weird to have green beans and onions mixed in but I liked the variety. SERVICE: Excellent! Our server was super friendly, sweet, and checked in just enough. Kept our glasses full. Very helpful with the menu too. Would almost go just for the excellent service. COST: Fair and reasonable. I walked in and stood by the host stand a few minutes while multiple employees looked at me and walked in the back or around the corner. Finally someone asked if I had been helped and she informed me to go to the bar and the bartender will help me. After a few minutes he arrived from the back and had an attitude while I picked up my order. Like I was bothering him or something. The restaurant was empty so clearly they weren't busy. Overall a bad experience, but the food was good so that helped. But most likely won't return if service like this is the norm. read more

I came here on the suggestion from an employee of the doubletree hotel. I was seated immediately and ordered the bacon wrapped dates, Brie dip, and bacon macaroni and cheese.
