So, having Walt demonstrate what the problem was and how to amend it is an experience I'll always cherish, and I'll be damned if I don't defer to him when my bewilderment has peaked. HT Transmissions I…read morecannot say enough wonderful things about HT Transmissions Repair and Pedro. Bought a used car in November 2025, 5 weeks later, P0741 torque converter code, flashing D while driving. Between a shitty 90 day warranty and 1000.00 out of pocket expense, had a new torque converter for a grand total of 2600.00, that was reduced to 2300.00 and a 90 day warranty. 102 days, yes 12 days after warranty was over. When my transmission completely failed, 102 days after having it fixed, I was beside myself. I live 3 hours from L.A. and travel there often. I also live on a fixed income. In other words, now I had a car 87 miles from where I live, and 130 miles from HT Transmissions Repair. and no savings to speak of , to fix it...blah blah blah. I was quoted by RPM Motorcars, Sherman Oaks, same shop who put the torque converter in to begin with, but another shop was going to do the work....yes, cannot make this shit up. 6800.00 retail, but reduced to RPMS cost of 4500.00. 24 months /24,000 warranty. Or options 2 a used transmission with 49,000 miles, for 2200.00. And another 700.00 to install it. But said, not recommended. But would not put 24 months/24,000 in writing. Now, call me crazy.... I would have much preferred options to begin with it. I already researched this time cost of rebuilt transmissions, used transmissions and even remanufactured transmissions. I could have bought a new transmission for 6800.00 I had already been quoted 4500.00 from a shop in Ridgecrest. That is the average, higher rebuild cost. Then I really researched and found HT Transmissions on Fulton, North Hollywood. He's been in business for 31 years and has great reviews. From the beginning, Pedro was honest, patient and took the time to explain everything without trying to upsell or gouge me. Pedro and his crew, yes he has a ten man crew not only did a complete rebuild, he did it for 2800.00 saving me thousands of dollars. 12 months/12,000 miles. HT and Pedro took an incredible, financially stressful situation and turned it into something I could actually afford. My car runs beautifully and I have a peace of mind knowing I can travel, make my long commutes safely. Pedro and his crew not only take tremendous pride in their work. A couple of days after being fixed I noticed a rather large leak under my car, shocked.....called Pedro let him know what happened, that I needed to return home the next day..... He sent two of his guys to pick my car up, fixed it (it was just a loose clamp) free of charge. Both appointments were cancelled sameday by Aamco. I would Not Rely on this company to care for your vehicle. Both appointment dates and their sameday cancellations by Establishment is Unacceptable. This just let's me know they dont care if your left stranded nor that they have highly inconvenienced you. Neil thinks it's acceptable in business to cancel sameday and to place blame on the customer for timeframe. They had all day to replace parts mentioned, Which is a 3 1/2 job. The job would have been completed on Monday, had They kept my appointment. I classify this company as having poor customer service. In business, a company should always be accommodating especially when a customer already scheduled an appointment.

The turn around was little less than a week. The video updates he sent is what makes him an honest mechanic as he gave me a step by step to what he is going to do. You're probably even thinking about buying a new car since transmission replacement is an expensive repair that most likely costs more than the car is worth. My advice...save money in the long run (especially with the tariffs currently being imposed world wide) and get your transmission repaired. You can save the extra money for a rainy day or for other things. My 2012 Kia Sorento has over 211,000 miles on it and the transmission finally wore out. The gears were slipping and there was no power when I stepped down on the pedal. I called around to two other local shops before calling Arminco. Both places were WAY more expensive than Arminco and said they would need more time to repair my car (one shop said they needed a month and the other shop said that they needed a week and a half to rebuild the transmission). When I called Arminco and spoke to Serj, his price was more fair and his estimated time was shorter (he said he would have my car back to me in a week). After reading all of the positive reviews online I decided to have Arminco do repair the repair on my transmission. When I arrived at Arminco Serj took my car on a test drive while he explained what was happening with my gears. Serj explained that he works on a lot of Mercedes and BMW vehicles. After dropping my car off it was ready in 4 days instead of a week. Raymond also informed me that my axel needed to be replaced. When I picked up my car it ran perfectly! Serj provides a warranty for the first 12,000 miles or 1 year (whichever comes first). Thank you Arminco for repairing my Sorento so quickly; it feels great to be back on the road!

I was not able to go that week, however the following week I was nearby so figured I would just stop by and see if he could service my vehicle, but let him know I needed my car back by a certain time. He called about an hour before I needed it saying they were wrapping up and shared the final price which ended up being a few dollars less than the original estimate. Car felt great and we will be returning for any future maintenance needs. Great service, fair pricing and great, clear communication.

I called ahead to confirm if they could make time and we agreed on a date/time that worked. Upon arrival, the shop was jam packed with tons of cars. Feeling a bit worried that my check up would take forever, they quoted me about 1.5hrs to do the standard checks including brakes, tires, fluids, and oil change and it actually ended only taking 1 hour! Very thankful that they were able to squeeze me into their busy schedule and take care of my car efficiently with friendly service! They've won me over and I'll definitely come back again in a few months for the next service date. What's also great is there are a lot of pretty decent spots to eat and even a few nice bakeries too while you wait for your car to get serviced. Highly recommend giving them your business!

Dr. Wheel is on the lower side of the equation. The other thing, they come to your house. Say what? Got me wondering how solid of a repair we were looking at. Well, once I dug into the process, saw that the work is warranted for a year, I figured I'd give them a shot. First, we had them do two aftermarket wheels which relatively minor damage. The result was pretty incredible. The wheels looked good as new and honestly, I couldn't remember where the blemishes were . Months later the wheels looked great. Today, we got four wheels on my wife's car done, all with curb rash to a varying degree and the result was great. The challenge today wasn't the damage, it actually wasn't super complex or extensive. It was the color. From the factory, the color is pretty unique, but the Dr. Wheel team got it pretty much exactly. A special shout out to Jonathan, who came out to our house twice and did a great job. Friendly, professional, thorough, and just an all around solid dude. Not that I hope to get more curb rash on any of our wheels (nor do I wish that for you!), but if we do, we will definitely go back to them. We've already referred them to a few neighbors.

I am very grateful to Chalard for fixing my car for such a low price. I have been having problems with my brakes for sometime now. I am scared to have it fixed because it might cost a lot of money. But I was surprised he didn't charged us much. Half the price of what others has estimated. My prayers were answered. Now I am driving my car without worrying that me and my son might get into an accident due to break problems. Another bonus is, he fixed our door handles on the driver side and the passenger side (the insides) and charged us so cheap as well. He did all the repairs in one day even though the whole place was packed with cars!!! Very affordable place and Chalard is very helpful and nice. It was nice to finally meet him in person. I typically do not find service that reaches the heights found at this business. Once upon a time, I had a job that involved reviewing service quality at luxury hotels and resorts, so when I experienced world-class level service at this auto repair business, I was in a pleasant state of shock. Tiko and Andre must have been trained by Ritz Carlton. Kind and considerate, they know how to treat people and build trust with their clients. I could list the many ways they do this, but I don't want to bore you. Most recently, my car showed symptoms of needing a new engine. Instead of taking the job, Andre did research to find that I qualified for a dealer warranty. He suggested I take the car to the dealer, and indeed, he was correct. I highly, highly recommend this jewel of a business. I recently took my car to Future Auto Service for some routine maintenance, and honestly, the whole experience was top-tier. From the moment I walked in, everyone was extremely helpful, super friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure I was taken care of. I could not be MORE DISSAPOINTED. A co worker at NBC suggested I use her mechanic for new brakes. I took my 2007 Lexus to chalards and he quoted me 1425.00 for pads and rotors and labor. I approved the work but luckily he could not repair my car and complete by yesterday. ( june 2 nd 2010 ) this morning I brought my Lexus to my regular mechanic and picked up my car a hour ago , leaving with a bill in the amount of 474.88. My mechanic said the rotors were FINE they needed to be resurfaced NOT replaced as Chalards said !!!!!!!!!!! Its my hope that it was an oversite on Chalards part. FYI my mechanic said for pads NEW rotors and labor the cost would of been 750.00 still a great deal less than CHALARDS !! RIP OFF read more

This Dude is amazing, he knows his stuff in and out. Doesn't matter, u name it. He can work on a space shuttle for all I know. The dude is a great, no bullshit machanic and very friendly as well. It is hard to get a good macahnic that doesn't wanna scam you but he is all business and sometime even diagnose your car and if it is a minor fix he will and never charges you. for it. I have been going to Charlard for all my repairs and never to the dealer except if he only tells me to go to the dealer because of a waranty issue. Well...Mr. Chalard is as great as others say. Took my mercedes in for a power steering line leak and to get the mirror lamp fixed...Mr. Chalard fixed the power steering lines at no charge (said they were loose and just needed tightening ...after the stupid dealer wanted to replace them for a ridiculous sum of money)...and just charged me minimal labor of $40 to replace the mirror lamp plus what the parts cost. His prices are reasonable and he is very honest. If Mr. Chalard ever goes out of business or retires...I am sunk for a mechanic of this caliber. read more

I was recently in the Burbank area for my grandma's funeral with my 2 week old and 2 year old when my car decided it wouldn't start. After a day full of stress and grief (and an extra night in a hotel) I had my car towed to Chalard's. After telling him of my need to get home to Sacramento, he took my car right in and found the problem within 5 minutes and fixed in 2 hours. I brought my 2024 Lexus RX350 to Future Auto Service for a tire rotation and oil change to get ready for my long drives in the valley, and the experience was excellent. I was in burbank area when I got a flat tire.I Yelped closest mechanic shops and Future Auto Service pulled up.I called them and they gave me apportionment right away.Those guys are awesome.I was with my niece.We did enjoy the time in waiting room while they were fixing the tire.This place is very clean.Waiting room is beautiful and service was fast. When time comes for you to pay they are really reasonable. I will recommend to my friends and family!!! read more

I have been going to Chalard's for about 5 years now. My A/C compressor died at the beginning of winter. I got an estimate for a repair and decided to wait since the weather was cool. 3 months later I took my car to Chalard who fixed it the same day for half the price of the first estimate. It wasn't even CA-compliant, the state which they were in. I found the piece of metal they put into the car for under $100 online, and they charged my insurance over $2K for it. When I found out that the converter they put in was a POS, they immediately tried denying and deflecting, trying to say it was only a temporary installation and they would put a proper converter in when they are available (they were available). Then they wanted money to put in a new converter, to replace the junk one they had put in and lied about in the first place. I would have taken them to small claims court if I had the time to do it, instead I just got a proper converter put in elsewhere out of my own pocket (since insurance already paid Certified Swindlers here). I really hope someone they screwed over actually did take her to small claims court, and end their BS

While my dad's car was being serviced, the manager Arabo (sorry if I'm spelling it wrong) offered to drive him home. I found that above the average treatment of a customer to be endearing, so even though I live in Van Nuys (a 30 minute drive away), I started bringing my car to him. At first, it was just a tune-up and an oil change. But two days ago, the engine mount failed in my 2010 Honda Civic. Afraid to drive it to the shop, I called AAA for a tow truck. When the tow truck arrived and the driver asked for my destination, I said Art's Auto Care, to which he replied: "They're the best auto shop in Burbank." Further proof that this business is well respected in the local community. My engine had entirely separated from the auto frame, breaking through the bolts and was hanging by a thread, but Arabo and his dad managed to put it together again in two days. Arabo's dad even took a bolt to the face as they were fixing it, but luckily he was okay. I was worried the repair cost was going to be extremely expensive, but it was a very reasonable price and I'm very happy with the service and end result. It's very rare to find a great mechanic that you can trust. If you're in the Glendale/Burbank area (or even outside it), I 100% recommend Arabo and Art's Auto Care. And not only take my recommendation, but my dad's, my neighbors, and even the AAA tow truck driver. :-)
