Pure class! Found out my key fob battery died when I got in my car and didn't detect the key. My insurance sent my car to this location around November 17th. It has been nearly an entire month, and I have still not received my vehicle. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Multiple texts for updates have gone unanswered, and only occasionally do I receive updates from them directly; often having to call them myself for information.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While polite, the technician handling my vehicle is either woefully incompetent at his job, or exclusively works with other woefully incompetent parts suppliers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I do call to ask for updates, I'm often told that the technician "will make a phone call and get back to me," and then fully leave me in the dark for several hours or even days.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nearly every week I received the same information. Something along the lines of "We have all but 1 part, [Technician] has ordered the part." or "We have all but 1 part, but the part arrived was incorrect and needs to be reordered." One phone call I was told that all the parts had arrived, but the wheel was the wrong color. When I replied that I didn't care if the wheel was the wrong color, as long as it got repaired, I was ignored and made to wait for several days again for the replacement part. With the amount of repeated ordering and reordering of parts, the lack of information or timeline, and constant need for "just one more part," I'm starting to suspect either incredible incompetence, severe negligence, or legal misconduct. As nice as the facilities are, as personable the employees are, nothing can make up for the fact that they are incapable of completing a relatively straightforward repair with any degree of urgency. Never once had I felt like my repair was in any way a priority, even after nearly 4 straight weeks of needing a repair that, aside from that ever-elusive "last part" was ready to go in less than 2. I hope whoever reads this heeds my warning to avoid this service establishment like the plague. read more

Came here because I was told from my local Honda dealer about an issue with a broken wiper fluid bottle and the line that feeds into the bottle. Now, when I say general mechanics quake at the sight of my 560SL, it's not hyperbole. They'd rather not take the risk, fearing something might snap while their less-than-master mechanic fumbles with it. Even the highly-rated J&E Complete Auto Shop left me stranded once; they accepted my car, promised work in three days, and a week later handed it back untouched, citing their master mechanic Robert's tight schedule. A free oil change? Thanks, but I could have done without the wasted week and rental car. Fast-forward to now, and I've grown weary of renting cars every time my 560SL spends its season at a Mercedes specialist. The solution? Buy a more modern classic. Enter my quest for a W211 E-Class (2003-2009)--a series that's still delightfully old-school yet graced with the luxury of an OBD2 plug. Before pulling the trigger on a local listing, I wanted a pre-purchase inspection (PPI). I called AAA for recommendations, and among the names was Future Auto Service--conveniently close to AAA in Burbank. I spoke with Henry, who was excellent over the phone: knowledgeable about Mercedes, reassuring about their detailed PPI process, and even willing to have his team check for gas tank manufacturing dates (an infamous potential issue with this series).
