The grilled pork chop com tam here is extremely juicy and thick. The bun bo hue is delicious too, which comes with cabbage rather than banana flowers. Portions are huge and is affordable. My wife and I stopped by here to try out their Bun Bi Hue and Pho and it was amazing! Perfect portions of noodles, meat, veggies, and broth. The Bun Bo Hue was not too pungent as other places it's usually very strong and spicy or lacking of flavor but this one was perfect. If needed, you can also add more chili to heat it up. Pho was also delicious and meat portions were so tender and easy for consumption (some places the meat is a bit tougher in texture). Came here one evening based on reviews and was in need of some nice broth. Service was great, place was clean and employees were very tentative. Bummer was we waited about 15 minutes for our food once ordered. We asked the waiter as there was only one other party dining, is are food almost ready and the gentleman said yes give it a minute or two, next thing we know the microwave bell goes off and out comes our food, I'm like damn what a bummer-he microwaved pho. I was hungry, scooped a spoon full of broth and it was luke warm! I asked the dude hey put it back in the microwave another 10 minutes and should be good to go lol. It seems like it was the same menu as the previous place (Hiccups) so I'm not sure if they just rebranded and added a few new items. 1/5 - Popcorn chicken - Not sure how you can mess up on popcorn chicken but a few of the popcorn chicken had a BONE inside. They were tiny pieces too so I felt it cut the inside of my mouth and hurt my tooth when I bit down on it. This comes out with no spice or seasoning so it's just really bland. 2/5 - Spicy wonton - seems overpriced for something so simple. Sauce was good but the inside was a bit hard. Not sure if they even cook it all the way. 3/5 -Bulgogi garlic noodle - their garlic noodles were okay, there wasn't much special about it. Bulgogi was good but the dish was overall oily. Don't expect much from the service. The staff is friendly but they only check on us once and didn't seem like they were doing anything since the place was pretty empty. Great place to snack on asian fusion dishes and drinks! We went during their soft opening and the waiters were extra attentive during our meal which made it all the better. We ordered the lomo saltado with garlic noods, spicy wontons, 3 sea salt black coffees, rose lychee tea, thai tea with boba, and all were delicious! Although they forgot our fries in the lomo saltado, the waiters were quick to bring out a fresh plate of fries to mix in. Fair warning, the plate packs some heat . I came here on a Sunday afternoon and was promptly seated. Staff was super quick and accommodating. I tried several dishes and they were all superb! The most standout dishes to me were the following: The Taiwanese popcorn chicken came with a side of sweet and sour sauce, and a small cup of chili powder which you can add to the chicken yourself depending on how spicy you can handle. The chicken was super soft and juicy and is among the best popcorn chicken I've ever had! The bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup) was flavorful, rich and satisfying! The soup had a little more kick than I'm used to, but it had a nice beefy flavor, and the meat was tender! The com tam (broken rice) came with charbroiled pork and egg and was delicious! As with all of their other meat dishes, the pork was cooked to perfection and was moist and tasty! It had a nice char on it to give it that distinctive charbroiled taste. Lastly, I tried a new menu item of theirs, the sizzling Wagyu beef with egg. This one came with black pepper sauce, however they also have a mushroom sauce option. The beef was thinly sliced and practically melted in my mouth. The black pepper sauce added a nice sweet, savory and peppery touch to it and the accompanying French roll was a nice complement for dipping into the runny egg and meat juices. With so many Asian fusion restaurants popping up on every block like McDonald's or Starbucks, the taste and quality is really important. The taste is what stands out here among the many new restaurants serving similar food. This isn't just a bland copycat but one that seems to make sure flavor is a reason to keep people coming. I ordered the Garlic Noodles with Shaken Beef, Spicy Wontons, and Popcorn Chicken. My major knock would have to be the garlic noodles since they were pretty dry and unseasoned. The beef itself was nicely coated in sauce and the onions, tomatoes, and fries were on point. The popcorn chicken here is more in line with Taiwanese style popcorn chicken due to its breading and fried basil. You get a great shareable portion and it comes with the typical sweet chili sauce. I wish they had an option to make the popcorn chicken spicy because this would really settle my cravings. The flavor is pretty average, but better than some other boba places that sell popcorn chicken! I was surprised with the wontons! The flavor was very good (slightly salty) but tasty nonetheless (not spicy at all). Both the wontons and popcorn chicken make great shareable appetizers! Service wasn't bad since it's a fast casual restaurant, you're not getting full service. I was still checked up on a couple times during my time there which is always appreciated. The cashier could definitely be more friendly and upbeat and his low energy was kind of draining. It could definitely be worse though! Most people know how much of a fan I am of Vox Kitchen, so it says a lot when I say that the food here was definitely solid. I still prefer the garlic noodles from Vox, but if I lived closer to Fusion Corner, I wouldn't mind coming here often! Wanted to try a new Asian Fusion place and came across this place. It's very similar to the Vox Kitchen but more overpriced for its quality. I had ordered the FC Shaken Beef with Fries and a side of Popcorn Chicken. I found that the garlic noodles were really garlic-y and felt like something I could make at home. The fries and beef were pretty good, but I wish we could've chosen how we wanted our beef to be made. The green sauce here is much spicer though! The Popcorn Chicken portion was good for its price, but nothing special about them so I would choose another appetizer if I were you. We were also able to get one additional sauce for each our dishes! For drinks, we got the Lychee Rose Tea which was really refreshing. I don't think the food was fresh because I had asked my server if there were any vegetarian options for my mom (we usually ask for soy sauce in replacement of any fish sauce) and she had said the chef's told her how all the menu items had some form of fish sauce in them premade... not sure how that worked but she did end up eating only Garlic Fries for the night. They were very crispy but soft on the inside and I would recommend trying them out! I just loved how the roe just exploded in my mouth after the bite. Next up were the heavy hitters! The lomo came out without the usual fries but was substituted with garlic noodles that were buttery and flavorful. The marinated beef was perfectly cooked with a nice soft texture. So far so good and after having the Pho with ribs?! Well It just sealed the deal on this epic meal. The meat was nice and tender and the flavor of the broth elevated this soup dish. So I made a negative review awhile back regarding my experience. It was in regards to them advertising that the open "Crazy Late". But when I arrived at 12:30 I was told they were closed when their neon sign in the windo says "Open Crazy Late 1am". If a business says they open until a certain time then they should be. Based on their reply, you can tell it was someone who works(ed) there, management or the owners pretending to be just a customer. I attached their response to me below. They basically said that people work 12 hours and hard. I get that but they get paid to and if you advertise you open until 1am people expect you to be. I feel for employees that have to work long hoirs but maybe they can break up shifts so that 1 person doesnt have to work 12 hours straight. Maybe they have a staffing shortage. Whatever it is that is internal and youbshould never be rude to customers. Also the person asked what am I doing eating so late! And I should consider coming earlier instead to eat instead. It was rude. And finallybto top it off they accused me of dealing crack at 12:30 thats why I was out and about at that time. Been wondering about this place every time I passed by it and glad I finally checked them out. First thing I noticed walking in was the fact that it was a big restaurant, very roomy and nicely decorated. They had big pictures on the walls of food and drinks, but not in a cheesy way. It was very aesthetic. I had the popcorn chicken, spicy beef soup, garlic noodles and the typical vietnamese dish with rice, pork, and egg cake and the Strawberry peach tea. Everything was so good and suprised that I liked the drink since I don't care for strawberry flavor. To start, we had the popcorn chicken. It was nice and crispy. For our entrees, we had the Bun Bo Hue, Shrimp Wonton Egg Noodle Soup, Grilled Chicken Garlic Noodles, Grilled Pork Chop Broken Rice, and Sizzling Wagyu Steak and Egg. Out of all the orders, the Bo Ne (Sizzling Steak) and Bun Bo Hue (Beef Noodles) we're my favorite. We also tried the Strawberry Peach Tea and the Iced Coffee. The iced tea was nice and refreshing. The new menu still has some Asian Fusion options but now leans more towards Vietnamese cuisine. R12 Grilled beef, shredded pork skin, egg cake, grilled sausage, fried shrimp cake and rice. *Bulgogi Fries* Crispy Fries topped with Beef Bulgogi and stir fried onions. This one is super good! I recommend it. The fries are super crispy and the Bulgogi and onions are flavored just right. *Fried Calamari* Bigger cuttlefish pieces. The batter they use is crispy and doesn't get soggy. It's garnished with some Daikon and a big lime. Spicy Mayo for dipping sauce. I prefer the thinner and ringed calamari but this one is still delicious. *R12* The perfect rice plate. It has a mix of everything and I was super full after. The beef is tender and flavorful. The shredded pork adds texture. The egg cake and fried shrimp cake stand alone but go really well with the rice. The grilled sausages flavor is on point . It's a great mix plate. The plate also comes with cucumbers, pickled cabbage, and soup. They give a bowl of fish sauce which I recommend you put all over the plate. Overall: This place exceeded expectations and the price is just right. If you need a place that has good hearty savory Asian flavors then come here! I wish they had a restaurant like this in hawaii!
