Came to give it another try since it's had some time to settle in. Some of the same problems still exist. Mind you it's an hour to closing this time. The food was overall a disappointment. A lot of the Chinese food was just a little off like it wasn't cooked the same way as I would expect in a Chinese restaurant. Maybe a new chef is just needed. But then I had the sushi and it seemed like every roll tasted the same and the ingredients didn't really vary that much. My favorite which is usually salmon sashimi was awful. It was cut into various shapes and sizes, some as small as my fingernail. It really looked like odds and ends. Why not just throw the tiny bits away? Lastly, and this is the second time, the chocolate fountain was out of marshmallows, again. People just don't replenish a lot of the food fast enough and while I'm glad they have a screen to protect the chocolate fountain now, overall cleanliness is still an issue. Still huge chunks of food on floor and drippings. (Today was half a crab on the floor). Worst yet this time I actually got sick 2 hrs after getting home. My partner didn't have the seafood and didn't get sick but found that he also didnt enjoy much of the food either. We went to Fusion Concord to celebrate Father's Day and honestly, it was such a disappointing experience. We waited 2 hours to be seated, and once we finally got a table, not even 20 minutes into eating, one of the staff (who didn't have a name tag) came over and rudely told us we only had 15 minutes left because they were busy. She was so unprofessional and disrespectful, and it completely ruined our mood and appetite. We just wanted to enjoy our meal with family, but she kept interrupting us, and we noticed other customers were also upset and complaining. Staff is very efficient and friendly - from the check counter, to the usher, to the person who collects used plates and to the other staff. Good variety of food with good flavors - it is really a fusion from different Asian and American cultures. The restaurant is kept clean with staff frequently sweeping and making sure everything is alright. Prices are quite reasonable for what you get. I had told one of the men cooking that I was allergic to shellfish and they told me it was no problem and they'd have it cleaned for me... I guess something was lost in the crowds of people handing him plates that he mixed shrimp into my plate. It was bound to happen but sucked that even after alerting both cooks, it still happened. The chairs, tables, and people were so close together you're basically on the other person and eating their food. The cleaners were scrambling and couldn't figure out who should clean which tables. I would highly recommend that you instead spend half the amount of money on the same quality and quantity at China Wall Buffet in Concord only 1.1 miles away from this location. Again, I was HIGHLY disappointed to have spent over $60 on this less than decent dinner meal. Like you have to reach over a bunch of stuff to get a mug because the coffee station, where the cups are, and the utensils are all pushed together on one island. We've visited this buffet a few times before and used to enjoy it, but after getting sick the last two visits, we won't be returning. The first time I got sick, I let it go. But last night, after dining with my family, I started feeling symptoms later that evening. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea that lasted through the night. It was a horrible experience and really concerning. Also, if you have kids, be aware of their pricing policy. They charge based on height, not age. My elementary school-aged kids were tall for their age, and we were charged full adult prices. That makes no sense. Just because a child is tall doesn't mean they eat like an adult. It's a frustrating and unfair policy. This will be our last visit, and we'll be warning our friends and family to avoid this place. If I give this negative star. I will since they deserved it. Updates: my 2 kids that ate here also got sick. Both threw up middle of the night and got stomach problem, that lead to my daughter getting a fever. The place was nice inside, a lot of seating but very crammed in there. There was an okay variety of food. Unfortunately the food I grabbed turned out to be cold. I went to grab a different set of food that looked to be full in the tray and my food still turned out to be cold. I'm assuming because the tray was overfilled so everything on top wasn't being warmed by the tray. There is an area for you to grab uncooked food for the chefs to make in front of you so that's what I ended up getting instead. I did get food poisoning the next day.
