Wagyu Nori Taco
Joannie B.

Came here on a Sunday after a relaxing day at Bathhouse to celebrate my friends bday. Not too far from the train. Happy-hour is from 4-7pm. Also serving lunch and dinner. Nice decor. Huge space. Full bar. Attentive staff. My friend and I we sat at the bar for the Happy-hour. Our bartender Isaac was wonderful; great customer service and engaging. I liked his energy. We ordered a couple things: I had the Wagyu Nori Taco which was crispy and good but small. The truffel fries were fried well and good. The Spicy salmon and Eel avocado roll were also good. My friend ordered the Corn ribs, which was flavored nicely and very interesting. She also had the crispy rice sushi; very good as well. And the Fish Taco she said, was good. For drinks I had the Lychee Martini and my friend the white Sangria with Twist. Isaac also made us a shot of something that was very good. I'm glad we stopped in and had a great time. I would reccomend to Definitely check Fushimi out.

Dined in on Saturday 12/20/25. It was very easy to secure an 8pm reservation. Upon entering the restaurant- it is beautifully decorated with Christmas decor and grand lights The two seater tables will not be sufficient/tight fit if you order apps + entrees. Our server was friendly and proudly speedy service For apps - started with the miso soup ($8)and a side of sriracha ( noticed when we got home they charged $2 for the hot sauce ) the soup was good and able to share between 2 ppl. We ordered the rock shrimp tempura as well ($14)- flavor was good however we could tell it sat under the heat lamp a little longer than it should've because it wasn't saucy - it appeared dried out. For entree the lobster medallion & shrine ($38), 8oz filet mignon , Fushimi fried rice and parm truffle fries. For drinks - we did lychee martinis - they were made well and garnished with the lychee nut Would definitely return. Street parking can be tough, leave enough time to find a spot. I highly recommend the Fushimi fried rice ( we got it with chicken)

The toro toro roll here is insane - the fish is so high quality and melt in your mouth, with the perfect ratio. I am surprised to see the restaurant so empty. Other fishes are okay, but toro is definitely the start of the show here!

I had such a great time here celebrating a friend's birthday! The service and food were absolutely phenomenal. I've never been to a restaurant where management personally gives guests a free green tea shot and takes it with us, that was such a fun and welcoming touch! She was amazing, friendly, and so funny. On top of that, she surprised my friend with a free birthday cake slice, which made the night even more special. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Fushimi Salad: 10/10 Pork Gyoza: 10/10 Fried Rice: 10/10 Parmesan-Crusted Chicken: 10/10 My friends also raved about their sushi and lobster tail everything was just delicious. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations in every way. Great food, amazing service, and such a warm atmosphere. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes!

I loved this place. The employees were so nice and warm. The food was great. The drinks hit! Will definitely go back. Presentation is also really nice. The samurai drink was sweet and strong. I had the spicy kani and it was so yum. Truly great tuna tar tar. Didn't love the crackers that came with them. But the crunchy things they added to the tartar were a delicious add in Can't wait to go back

Went here on a Saturday night. Reservations are recommended. We started off with appetizers, edamame, asparagus, sweet potato rolls, and spring rolls. Everything was DELICIOUS! For entree we had the filet mignon, the cod fish, pork chops, and salmon. We also ordered the chicken fried rice. WOW. It all tasted delicious! All of the dishes came with a choice of a side. The drinks were also delicious. I would highly recommend this spot. The atmosphere and decor is beautiful/elegant. Street parking only. Good for groups or date night.

We loved our experience at Fushimi - Williamsburg. It was a great pre-spa dinner/drinks destination. Yummy, fresh plates and good drinks. The servers were very nice, too. The booth seating was awesome. I liked the unique interior.

Spicy Tuna Hand Roll

Was first introduced to this place because we had our end-of-the-year staff party here (Drinks aren't that strong). Then a few of us decided to come back here a few more times because the bar food was delish! Another time we decided to "dine in" not at the bar, but then we quickly moved to the bar because the food selection was better. We loved the spicy tuna hand roll as it was flavorful and packed with spicy tuna! Then we also had to get the spicy tuna crispy rice because we get that every time we come here. See a pattern? Haha we sure do love our spicy tuna! Of the two, I'd def recommend the crispy rice over the hand roll. Spicy, crunchy, chewy, and bite size! Could easily eat like 10 of them. The Baja fish tacos were good but more of like 3/5 stars good. It lacks a bit of flavor, and presentation wise- looks like a child could put it together. The wings though, while the photos don't make it look that great, were actually pretty decent! Solid 4 out of 5, but this is from someone who absolutely loves wings and judges them with high standards! I loved the peppery taste of them, and they were crispy and juicy. I'm glad they didn't absolutely smother it with sauce. Also love that they were all flats instead of including the drumettes. Overall, would come back for drinks and bar food! Staff are also friendly and attentive. Interior looks clean, spacious, and vibrant!

Fushimi will always have a soft spot in my heart because I chose to celebrate a happy event with family here. Maybe my personal joy made the dinner experience extra memorable or the food was really that good. Everyone loved the seafood bisque here, and honestly, I still think about it from time to time. The crab cake didn't leave as big of a mark on me as the soup, but it was still yummy. The restaurant is really big with a party room and bar in the back. I didn't choose a party room for my event but still enjoyed a good amount of privacy.

Shrimp Teriyaki

I was invited here for a birthday dinner and the staff was nice. Nobody gave me any issues. The host at the front told me exactly where to go. Elaine was our main server and she was super accommodating. I ordered the shrimp teriyaki and a Philadelphia roll. I noticed that one of the shrimp had the waste still inside. I was pretty full from the Philadelphia roll, which was really good, so I didn't mind taking it home. I discard that piece of shrimp but when I ate everything the next morning it was delicious. I didn't pack the teriyaki sauce but it was still good. My friend took some photos in the waiting area and they came out great. The bathrooms were clean and big. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside. I wouldn't have thought that just from the outside. Great place for a date too. I would return. Not too pricey but expect to pay at least $100 for a good meal with wiggle room.

The food is delicious the vibe is trendy, drinks are top tier & mixed well and the service attentive and on point. Need I say more? Check it out and thank me later.

Grilled Yellowtail Kama

Nice Japanese restaurant with beautiful decor and design. We went during the day time, so we did not experience the full ambiance of the place at night. There are sprawling couch tables, very comfy. The walk to the restrooms takes you through a tunnel, as if going back in time. I definitely appreciate the design. We ordered several items from the regular menu to share, such as the American dream roll, toro roll, summer vegetarian roll and the hamachi kama. I also ordered the miso soup, which was rather bland. The best roll was perhaps the American dream and the toro. The summer vegetarian roll just felt like they rolled up a few pieces of lettuce, 1 piece of asparagus together in rice paper, definitely a little disappointing. I also liked the hamachi kama, which was grilled perfectly. Overall, would like to try this spot at night, I can picture this place getting very crowded and fun.

The music is at a low enough volume that you can hear your conversations, it doesn't get too crowded so you can spread out, even if you're in a large group. Downstairs, it's a lot tighter, with a DJ, dance floor, lounge seating area, and a much more packed and busy atmosphere on the weekends. I like ping ponging between both vibes when I'm with friends. Admittedly I've found the music both times to be too experimental for me. Confessing that makes me feel like an old person shaking my fist or at least shaking my head, misunderstanding what makes the youth tick. But I had no trouble twirling around the dance floor to this weird experimental music after throwing back a few tequila sodas upstairs. A few times while here my friends have split up into the group that wants to go downstairs to dance and the group that wants to stay upstairs and chill. It's relatively easy to navigate between both vibes, which I enjoy about this spot very much.

Came here on a quiet weeknight by a total mistake!…read more We came to grab some drinks at the rooftop bar and catch the sunset and gorgeous views. When we saw "Water Tower" on the elevator we decided to press it. SO GLAD WE DID. We landed at the Water Tower and walked into a fairly empty space decorated with art all the way to the ceiling, filled with natural light coming in and the views of the skyline were out of this world. We had to try their drinks of course to enjoy with the incredible view. Though the drinks are $21 and served in a plastic cup that evening, I was NOT expecting my drink to be this insanely delicious. I ordered the inferno Paloma which they infuse themselves with- and it was true perfection. By the way, each bar has their own menu which is pretty awesome and makes it even more fun. Also, Axel is the most incredible bartender and we absolutely loved his creations. Later that night we ordered a custom mandarin margarita, with a spicy twist, and WOW. He's truly talented and absolutely made us some awesome drinks that we can't stop talking about. Sunset with a view and a spicy mezcal drink? Yes and YES. We had this place all to ourselves and can't wait to be back. Friday nights they have DJ nights and you can also book the Water Tower for your own private events which is pretty cool!

The Sweet Potato Beignets with hot honey & parmesan were definitely interesting--sweet, savory, and a bit unexpected. Not my favorite item of the night, but still worth trying if you like unique flavor combos. The BK Sliders (3 pc) were solid: thick applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, Russian dressing, and pickle on mini brioche buns. Simple, satisfying, and nicely done. The real standout though was the Calamari with shichimi pepper, jalapeño, lime zest, and herbal dipping sauce--absolutely amazing. Crispy, flavorful, and the seasoning had just the right kick. Easily the best dish we ordered. Service was friendly and the atmosphere made it easy to linger. Overall a great experience, and I'd definitely come back--especially for that calamari and another hot toddy.

I discovered Kokomo because I knew I wanted our wedding celebration to be in Williamsburg -- a neighborhood that holds so many memories for me growing up in the Bronx and exploring the city as a kid. We flew in from Los Angeles and truly made it a full wedding week experience. I planned the wedding myself, so I had been communicating with Joel for months leading up to the event. We reserved the Champagne Room, which felt like its own beautiful oasis. As a Jamaican-American woman, it meant so much to know my disabled mother would feel culturally comfortable, welcomed, and safe in the space and with the food. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and calming. Our server especially helped ease my nerves while we were finalizing seating and guest details, and after that, I genuinely did not have to worry about a thing. And the food? Absolutely incredible. Truly perfection. As a vegan, it meant so much to fully enjoy every part of my wedding meal without compromise. The rum punch was fantastic, our guests loved the open bar package, and the entire evening flowed so seamlessly. The aesthetic is pure island luxury -- elevated, warm, vibrant, and beautiful. The communication from the owners and management team was excellent throughout the entire process, and I even had the chance to finally meet Joel at the end of the night after months of planning together, which was such a lovely touch. I was also able to personally thank the chefs. We even accidentally left my bouquet behind, and the team kindly helped us retrieve it the next day. Kokomo NYC is officially a staple in our family now. I already know we will celebrate future milestones there and visit often whenever we are back in New York. It makes me proud to support a Black Caribbean-owned business that creates such meaningful experiences with so much care and excellence. I truly cannot imagine our wedding without Kokomo, and I'm so grateful they were part of our story. : @lensofher
