Got a tray of the beef chow fun and it was a big hit with the keiki. Chewy flavorful and ready in an hour, the noodles stayed yummy throughout the party. Will order again.

    So cute da Panda plate!

All I can say about eating at the - "Fun Station" is that it's more fun when eating with a friend, & getting a 20% discount.........well, that's just an extra bonus! So the thing about coming to Fun Station is the "suspended flying noodle thingy" which I didn't go for, but if you like Instagramable stuffs, then I supposed you would probably go for that flying-noodle dish. As for me, I mainly came to try their Minute Chicken Cake Noodles, and as a bonus......... I actually got a 20% discount thanks to my friend - Jennifer C. who let a Bruddah know about da DEALAGES in da Sunday food section newspaper, as they had a coupon! The Sunday morning when I came with my friend, I can clearly see that this restaurant was thriving, as every table in the restaurant was taken. Fun Station specializes in noodles, but if you're not into that, they do serve other items like - soups, vegetable dishes, rice plates, & porridge (jook). Upon looking over the menu, we ordered the following items - 1. Frrrrrrried Chicken Wings ($9.95) for an appetizer 2. Minute Chicken Cake Noodles ($17.95 - minus da 20% coupon DEALAGES) 3. Beef Brisket Tendon & Won Ton in soup ($18.95) What can I say about da grub??? Da chicken wings came out hot & crispy. Although they featured only "flats" vs. drums (I like drums), I must say da wings was nicely executed. As for the Minute Chicken Cake Noodles.........nicely plated on a fancy smanshy panda plate. The cake noodles weren't drowning in gravy, so the noodles stayed crispy on the dish. I really liked how they did this dish, and would easily come back here to eat it again. My friend had the Beef Brisket Tendon & Won Ton soup. The dish looked good, and there weren't any complaints, so I take it that it was pretty ono! Overall, a very satisfying meal and the service here was on point, as the staff was friendly & very efficient. Easy 5 stars for the Minute Chicken Cake Noodles! Chance 'em!

Not gonna lie, Instagram got me on this one. I was so intrigued by the flying noodle that this made it on my list so I can go there during my vacation in Oahu. That was the first thing we ordered and the waiter asked if we've had it before so they could make sure that they presented it as the picture show it. We also ordered the chicken wings, salt and pepper pork chops, garlic, bok choy, and the salted fish and chicken fried rice. Everything was so delicious. Food was promptly delivered, and staff was very friendly. It's also BYOB and there's a Foodland in the parking lot so that was a plus as we went to the store to get some alcohol. Restaurant is very casual with about 10 to 12 tables. They were pretty busy when we arrived, but they moved with the quickness to make sure everyone got their food timely. I love the presentation of the flying noodle, although I was in a fan of the dish itself as it had a little sweetness, which I wasn't a fan of. It was just OK to me. However, everything else we ate was tasty and decently priced.

Saw this spot while at Foodland getting Poké Everything looked delicious on the menu so we decided to order it the next day. Amazing! Everything was fresh and super flavorful. The fried spare rib tips were delicious! My daughter didn't care for the noodles but I think they are great! We ordered online and service arrived quick; definitely satisfied and recommend!

Fun station is located in the Market City Shopping Center. They are located on the top area. There's parking on the top and the bottom. Parking is limited. They have a lot of choices for food and also have tasty drinks. We had the milk, tea, and the mango drink that had jellies and tapioca. We had the duck that was tasty. It's not your regular crispy duck. Brine duck on top of the bed of tofu. (Good tasting for sure) We also had chicken wings that had a different taste to it - kind of tasted like fruit loops. We had their minute chicken on crispy noodles.... So tasty with bok choy. The honey walnut shrimp is one of the best and lots of walnuts. The salt and pepper pork chops were a winner. We will come back for sure. We have a lot on the menu to still choose from!! Service was quick and not rushed Casual location - like an old school Chinese restaurant

Flying noodles -- ground pork with a slightly sweet sauce. Simple and comforting. Pan-fried fish filet with green onion was really good, whether you have it with steamed rice or on its own. Wonton soup (pork, shrimp, tobiko) had that homemade vibe. Not the best I've had, but still satisfying. Service was great -- friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. Only note: the bathroom is located outside of the restaurant.

Got the flying noodles which was cool to take pics of but wish it came in a bigger bowl to mix. I liked the texture of the noodles as well as the crispy spare ribs and honey walnut shrimp came with a lot of walnuts. Good to share and a quick lunch.

Fun Station located in the Market City Mall. Locally owned and operated. We were passing by and stopped to look at their menu. Staff and management welcomed us in and seated us. We were lucky because right after we were seated the dining room filled up. The Specialties of the house are featured along both sides of the restaurant walls. Great idea . We tried the Fried Chicken Wings (wonderfully prepared hot, fresh, and crispy with a moist interior). Simply delicious . Next up was their awesome Beef Chow Fun. It was one of the best we've ever had. The Crispy Spare Ribs were amazing. Crispy outside tender and moist inside served with a nice Sweet and Sour Sauce that enhanced the flavor but still let the Spareribs be the star of the dish . We tried the Mixed Brine Plate. Duck, Pork Belly, Beef Shank, and Tofu all brined and served with a nice Clear Sweet Onion sauce and a light soy sauce. The flavors were reminiscent of old style Chinese cooking. To round out our meal the Garlic Stir Fried Choy Sum. Fresh and delicious . Highly recommended to satisfy your Chinese food cravings.

First time we've been here after UH Baseball game on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM no ones here and easy parking usually is very crowded but I saw a lots of takeout going out there are so many dishes we wanna try for next time they're open 11:00 - 9:30 PM every day which is great because you don't have to think about when they're open The staff is very friendly and cordial Well definitely be back for Jook

A good spot, but I only 1/3 of the dishes was great, the other 2 were okay, But I would come to order different stuff and give them another chance! + Food: Got the Flying Noodle, Beef tendon & Wonton Noodle soup, and Salt Pepper chicken wings. I absolutely love the Flying Noodles! Very flavorful and the pickled cabbage cuts through the fat nicely. The noodle soup was very light, not bad but tastes more like a wonton soup not a beef noodle soup. The chicken wings were alright: small, could use more seasoning inside. + Ambience: Medium sized restaurant, clean, plenty of parking outside. Nice service!

We came in around 5 on a Thursday and were seated right away, but by the time we left there was a wait. The main reason we came here was for the fried sesame balls, and they did not disappoint. There's of the food was good but nothing special: - flying noodle -- fun presentation but the noodles were just ok. I found it hard to mix them to cover them in sauce, and the sauce was a little too close to an Italian meat sauce - coconut shrimp -- what you'd expect - beef with broccoli -- really good - wonton soup -- okay...the wontons were like no wontons I've had I a soup before (in a bad way) - honey walnut shrimp -- a little dry yet too mayo-y at the same time - milk tea -- too strong You can get a Diet Coke in a can, and the water glasses are nice and big. Service wise, they forgot our flying noodles, and we had to ask for water refills.

Beef brisket with wonton noodle soup: noodles and broth were good. Beef was ok, wontons were good. Don't bother taking left overs home. The noodles disintegrate in the broth overnight. Beef brisket & tendon noodle soup: tender was good. Crispy spareribs with rice: crispy but sauce is too sweet. Garlic choy sum: 5/5 good healthy fresh veggies.

Fun Station (Market City) is one of those lowkey Honolulu gems that doesn't try to be trendy -- it just focuses on serving satisfying Chinese comfort food that keeps people coming back. It's tucked inside Market City (super convenient if you're in the UH/Kapiolani area), and it's an easy stop for lunch or dinner when you want something filling without overthinking it. The food If you've never tried their Flying Noodles, that should be your first order. It's one of their most talked-about dishes for a reason -- bold flavor, great noodle texture, and the kind of plate that makes you keep picking at it even when you're already full. I also love that they do the classics well. The Beef Chow Fun is a solid comfort pick, and if you're the type that needs a soup to complete the meal, their Hot & Sour Soup is a great warm, punchy option. For sides, Fun Station has a lot of fun add-ons people rave about too -- like Crispy Spare Ribs, the Tobiko Wonton, and if you want something sweet after, their Sesame Balls are the perfect little finish. Service + vibe Service is friendly and efficient, and the overall vibe is casual and straightforward -- perfect for a quick bite or a simple family-style meal. It feels like the kind of neighborhood spot that earns regulars because it's consistent. Final thoughts If you want dependable Chinese comfort food in Honolulu, especially with noodles that stand out, Fun Station is worth it. Great location, satisfying portions, and plenty menu options for both picky eaters and foodies who want to explore

It's located next to EARL and Cafe Kaila in the corner of Market City Shopping Center on Kapiolani Blvd in Kapahulu. There is a parking lot for customers and an overflow lot in the back where Ben Franklin is. Both times, I came with my family, and we ordered a variety of food and shared family style. The food here was absolutely delicious! Some items that we had ordered were: - Singaporean Rice Noodles - delicious! So flavorful with a lot of shrimp. It was even better with the curry from the curry crab. - Hong Kong Style Garlic Shrimp Prawns - well seasoned with a delicious crispiness and crunchiness! Shrimps are always a favorite of mine. - Thai Style Pork Cheek - great appetizer but the others really outshined this dish. The sauce was incredible, though! - Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Wing - beautifully coated with a layer of salted egg yolk. One of the few unique dishes that is a must try. - Fried Green Beans w/ Minced Meat & Sambal Shrimp Paste - the minced meat and sambal shrimp paste really brought out the flavor of the green beans, complementing it extremely well. - Salted Fish Chicken Eggplant - the salted fish really enhanced the flavor of this dish. I honestly thought without it, the entire dish would have been mediocre. This was a surprise! - Beef Chow Funn - this was ok. I thought there wasn't enough wok hay and flavor to this chow fun. - J.J. Chicken (Half) - this was one of my least favorite dishes only because all the other dishes outshined it. It was still good - just didn't have a great WOW factor like the others. - HK Style Beef Fried Rice - this was actually a lot better than the beef chow fun in my opinion. It was especially good with the leftover curry from the crab. - Curry Crab w/ Naan Bread - the star of the meals! There were different ways to prepare the crab, but we ultimately decided on the curry as it was #1 of the 3 or 4 styles. I did want the Singaporean one but was worried it would be spicy for the grandparents. Next time! Regardless, this was an amazing decision as the curry was soooo good. I couldn't get enough of it! The crab was delicious, fresh, and meaty--one order was plenty for our group of seven! It was definitely a messy meal, but well worth it. We even had so much leftover curry sauce that I couldn't bear to waste it, so I took it home to enjoy with rice the next day. - Hong Kong Style Garlic Fried Crab - well seasoned with a lot of flavor, but it was much drier than the curry version. Still delicious but that curry crab was still a winner. - HK Style Ice Milk Tea w/ Frozen Bear - this was a cute drink that they heavily advertised in their drink menu. I thought it would be a gimmick, but the drink itself was strong and delicious. This restaurant honestly stole my heart! So many delicious options that continuously wowed me. I definitely can see myself coming back often for family dinners.

I used to come here all the time with my coworkers for lunch, as Golden Eagle Chinese Restaurant was just a hop, skip, & jump away from my office. Through the years, the business & location hasn't changed, but if I'm correct, I owners of the business have changed hands several times. I remembered the last time I came here was during Covid-19 where Golden Eagle Chinese was just doing "take-out" and no dining inside was available. Since the pandemic has passed us, everything is back to normal with the exception of different owners. This past Sunday I decided to drop by the Golden Eagle Chinese Restaurant to buy some steamed fish filet for my dad. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I must say not much has changed as far as the decor of the restaurant. What I did get from Golden Eagle was fast and friendly service, and a wonderfully made dish of steamed fish filet with ginger & onion (dad approved)! If you're Jonesing for Chinese food, give Golden Eagle Chinese Restaurant a try!

It's quaint inside, but again, old school, so you'll see some boxes stacked in the corner. Janey got there first and said the man working was kinda unfriendly. We started with some delicious hot n sour soup. The fried rice was really good! Loved the crispy skin duck! The gau gee mein had a great assortment of vegetables! And the sauteed choy sum(?) was good! Overall, really good local Chinese food! Though the interior is nice, it was a little warm even with the AC. FIRST time customer - Growing up only 2 blocks away from this location 70 years ago I vividly…read morerecall walking with my POPO and mother headed into Chinatown to spend the morning shopping at the open MARKET and after to have LUNCH at either Char Hun Sut and or Tin Tin - Our favorite order was soup'n noodles , a steaming HOT bowl of "Won Ton Mein" and or "Wor Won Ton Mein" - Mmmmm - After the KAPOLEI Chinese restaurant in KAPOLEI "closed" so abruptly and PERMANENTLY I was shocked and extremely UPSET since very few "old school" Chinese restaurants here on Oahu still cook the type of dishes that my CANTONESE pallet craves and savors - Still reeling from this loss and desperate to satisfy my hunger for just a DELICIOUS bowl of "Won Ton Mein" - So desperate for this specific cuisine I went on line searching "YELP" to search for a recommendation and came across this restaurant "Lam's Kitchen" - I drove from my home in EWA Beach (West Loch Fairways Townhomes) into Chinatown in the old RIVER STREET neighborhood hoping that this restaurant would have something that would satisfy my desperate craving for a great bowl of "Won Ton Mein". I arrived at noon and was very lucky to find a metered parking spot across from the restaurant on the very first try - As I entered I noticed that the room was very crowded and that here was only ONE open table so I sat down immediately and ordered the "Won Ton Mein" as the waitress approached me with a menu - I have to note that although this restaurant was located inside of a very old building the interior was a very sharp contrast - Everything appeared fresh and modern with very basic hand built picnic type bench seating and dining tables constructed of varnished raw wood (very spartan but practical and comfortable) - The bowl of soup was of average size and appeared very sparse with not much color - There was "NO" Pork Char Sui slices, only steaming hot clear chicken broth, a clump of thin Vermicelli white opaque noodles accompanied with a few small pieces of both chopped Mustard, Napa Cabbages and slivers of Green Onions - Extremely simple and basic. There were exactly "4" individual Won Ton that were filled with a tiny chunk of SHRIMP mixed into minced PORK HASH and regular spices (basic Soy sauce and Sesame Oil) - The "won ton PI" was very thin and light and the saimin noodles were made of the same Rice Flour mixture also - The broth was hot and savory but nothing special only because it was so "bland" to the taste. Although the restaurant was crowded to its Maximum Capacity within 15 minutes of my arrival it had practically "emptied itself out" with only myself a one other table of 6-dinners getting their food too. I will probably return to eat at this restaurant if and when I get another pressing urge to satisfy one of my insatiable cravings to drive all across Oahu from EWA Beach to Chinatown in the city of Honolulu . The "PLUS" about this visit is that it was clean and the service was average but not disappointingly "long" despite how busy and crowded the entire restaurant was when I first arrived

Lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. I asked my sister what she wanted to eat for her birthday: Dimsum! I suggested that we go to this new location of Kapiolani Seafood Restaurant. She agreed! The covered parking lot is free! Just follow the signs and park in the designated numbered stalls. Inside, it was crowded and noisy! I wrote our name on the list and got called quickly! My sister wrote our order on the menu: shrimp dumplings, seaweed roll, deep fried taro puffs, shrimp and chive dumplings, mochi rice, pork-filled deep fried mochi, and custard tarts. Later, we added on an order of house noodles... they were thin, crisp, and tasty! Everything was delicious and beautifully presented! Service was efficient! There were different people delivering baskets and plates to our table. They just crossed off menu items on the printed list as they arrived. My sister and her husband were really happy with this meal! I was, too! Note: i even took home the leftover noodles! Yay!

We had been to Kapiolani Seafood Restaurant several times at its old location across from Ala Moana…read moreMall, and it used to be a five-star place for us. The new location is only about a block away, with a much nicer, newer interior. Unfortunately, the food seems to have changed much more than the address We ordered four dishes: mochi rice, pork buns, siu mai, and chicken feet. Almost everything arrived cooler than it should have. The chicken feet and siu mai were warm rather than hot, while the pork buns were closer to cold. More importantly, it wasn't just a temperature problem. The chicken feet in particular tasted noticeably worse than before, lacking the flavors and spices we remembered. The mochi rice was the most normal of the four, but even that felt fairly unremarkable There was a table next to us that came in excited to have dimsum. And watching their reaction, they came to the same conclusion as us -- food was cold, and flavors were off. We went on a weekday, so it's possible the kitchen was different that day, but the drop in quality was hard to ignore. The restaurant wasn't busy, service was good, and prices seemed unchanged from our previous visits. The new space is a clear improvement, but based on this meal, the food unfortunately went in the opposite direction. We likely won't be coming back
