High quality fish. Clean and modern interior, fast service. A bit overpriced, but great for a special occasion or business lunch. Somewhat limited seating.

I came here with coworkers for a quick lunch, and there is a decent amount of dining space, allowing us to seat a large party of over 10 people. After ordering, our food arrived somewhat slowly, but with a large party, this was understandable. I tried a bento box that included California rolls, gyoza, tempura, and a small salad, with a main dish of chicken teriyaki salmon. The portion size was perfect for one, but the taste was not as delicious as I expected for a relatively nice-looking restaurant. I wish it had a little more unique or potent flavors, but overall, it's a good option for an easy lunch!

Incredible food! Has the best sushi and pad Thai. Got to try some really unique flavor profiles. Attentive service and good quiet ambiance. Would be great for a date!

This was my second time at Fuji and I got to try a few more sushi rolls. The rolls only came with six pieces each, but they were pretty substantial, especially the makimono specials. In fact, it was a bit of a challenge to eat each piece in one bite! Next time I will have to try some of their non-sushi offerings. I could tell the ingredients were of high quality and the rice was cooked perfectly. They put a good amount of tobiko and other toppings on each piece. I think they could have added a bit less sauce on some of the rolls, especially the eel, because some bites were very sweet. Overall, still a big fan. Good spot for sushi if you're looking for a nicer ambiance. The staff is attentive and helpful, and they are helpful with recommending dishes!

Came here after skating at the Kendall rink and I absolutely loved the sushi, the Mai tai, and the service! Everything was super tasty and the place was quaint. Quick and polite service. The rolls were great. The only thing I wish they had on this menu was the truffle roll they have on the Fuji Inkblock menu but other wise the Flaming Red Maki and Spicy Tuna roll I got were amazing!

The sushi here was fresh and delicious! This was one of my favorite spicy tuna rolls that I've ever had, it has a great amount of flavor, crunch, and the portion size is pretty good too. I also got the salmon, tuna, and yellowtail sushi. My favorite was the yellowtail sushi by far. If I order from here again I would probably just get the yellowtail since I liked those much better than the tuna and salmon sushi. I also got the seaweed salad which was very good and was a huge portion! They gave a nice amount of soy sauce on the side and even a little tin boat to put the soy sauce in. The ambiance when I walked in was great and the inside looked super cute. I did takeout so I can't talk too much about service but the hostesses were very nice and the order was ready for pickup at the estimated time.

Very nice and clean. I got the drink featured around the restaurant. It was sooo good and pretty presentation with a flower! We also got sushi and the server was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Love Fuji Kendall but it won't be the cheapest sushi meal. The quality is surely worth it however. Personally I just go for the classic rolls so I don't really try anything crazy at any sushi place, so my go tos are salmon avocado and spicy tuna. Both of these dishes are crazy good, and one thing I tried here that I love, is the seared toro nigiri. Oh my god - melt in your mouth so you must try! I work in the area and this is my favourite lunch joint. Follow me on@sophiaeaaats for more!

It's been a while since I been here. The inside has more of a modern look. We got the Boat 2 which was 40 Pieces, crispy duck clay pot, toro, and seared sake Toro. The duck skin was super crispy like a Peking duck from Chinatown. The Toro and sake Toro were so buttery in texture. The boat has so many delicious pieces but the Maki was my favorite. Service was great but it a bit pricy. Good spot for a nice out

Good vibes. Food's average. Wish the bento boxes were available on the dinner menu as well. The sake was on point. Wait staff was slightly uptight. Also, for some reason the cell connectivity disappears inside.

THIS PLACE SUCKS. OVER PRICED AND THE FOOD WAS NOT GOOD. spent $65 on two speciality rolls (8 pieces) + salmon maki (8 pieces) and the worst chicken teriyaki of my life. PLUS no miso soup!!!! they forgot it!!!!! the rolls: not good and overpriced. wish i skipped it. does not taste good, not super fresh. teriyaki chicken: chicken was dryer than my humor (huehuehue) & it looked like they just cut up chicken and threw some soy sauce on it (peep the photo if yoh don't believe me) trust me. i will NOT be back. i don't recommend this place. save your money, $65 can get you far better japanese food elsewhere. in fact, I'm sitting w my friend right now talking about how we wish we ordered dominoes instead #life

Pretty good sushi spot in Kendall Square! They have lunch specials offered, as well as a bar. I came on a weekday during lunch and it was pretty busy. I lucked out and got seated quickly which I was thankful for. I got one of the specials which had a variety of cut rolls, a side salad, and miso soup. The sushi seemed to be fresh and tasty- what more could you ask for? My total was about $20 before tax, which is reasonable in my opinion. I'll be back for more :)

They have a limited menu with some items being seasonal but the waiters are very helpful and will let you know. I strongly recommend the toro, it is on the pricey side for $55 but it is one of their most popular dishes and I would say it's worth it. One dish that was recommended by everyone that I was a little disappointed about was the lobster roe pasta. It was good but I didn't enjoy it as much as expected and it started become gummy like so if you don't eat it quickly, it may become like this. It is a little plain without the lobster meat but there is an additional $15 charge so that is up to you. We also got another dish, I forget the name I think it was some black bean octopus over rice. But this dish was great with a little spice to it. Enjoyed the sake flight as well, the menu is pretty descriptive so you can pick and choose which ones that look good to you.

We started with the temaki sushi ($32) which came with two handrolls that had a good balance of rice and fish. They weren't super large but were fresh and had good flavor. We then got the miso-braised pork shoulder ($18), which was a larger portion than expected. This was our favorite dish, as the pork was very tender and flavorful. The dish had pieces of cabbage which were soft, naturally sweet, and soaked up all the flavor of the sauce. I would get this again, but with some rice because it was seasoned strongly. As this seems to be one of their most popular dishes, we also ordered the lobster roe pasta ($34). While the noodles were creamy and tasty, I think this dish is more worthwhile if you add the lobster (+$15). It does become even pricier at that point, but the noodles on their own were not super memorable. At the end we had some stomach space left and were still curious about the menu so we ordered the monkfish katsu ($25). I regretted getting this! The breading and fish basically tasted like the frozen fish fingers you can buy from the grocery store. While the yuzu tartar sauce was tasty, the rest of the dish was just not worth it. Overall, I thought the fish was good quality and really loved the pork shoulder. I would definitely eat here again, but would do more research on different menu items ahead of time.

The boat also includes a martini glass with seaweed salad, providing a refreshing, upscale palate cleanser when you need a moment's break from the fish. I was very impressed with the thick cuts for the sashimi, and the toppings on the nigiri also gave a tiny twist to the meal - while yuzu and jalapaeño are common pairings with raw fish, for example, the strawberry-on-salmon was a novel combo for me! The rolls also add appeal for any eating partners who enjoy their fish in another form.
