I got take out from this silk for the first time. The hostess was very friendly and was quick to help grab my food. The chicken Tikka was delicious, and you seemed to get two servings for one order which was nice for the price. I will be going back!

Silk cancelled our confirmed reservation on the same day we were to eat there. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

The pad thai is also tasty- a lot more moist than normal pad thai. I liked the fried chive cakes; they taste similar to Korean chive pancakes. Salt and pepper pork has a slight kick to it. Found street parking easily on surrounding streets. The restaurant is small, with low tables, high tables, and bar seating. The other reviewers are accurate in saying that the table next to you is only a few inches away. For 4 of us, we ordered 2 Thai iced teas, khao tang na tung (rice crackers), jor puu, kai tod had yai (fried chicken), beef massaman, classic pad thai, and crab fried rice. I was not a huge fan of the rice crackers as they tasted a bit bland. Standouts were the crab fried rice and the beef massaman. Jor puu was good, the fried chicken was good, although it seemed less fried and more grilled. Pad thai was average to me as were the Thai iced teas. Overall, was a good meal and we left satisfied and full. But I don't think it was exceptional enough to warrant a month-long waitlist for a normal dinner time, although I'm sure much of this is due to making Bib Gourmand recently. Glad I got to try it once but there are other Thai places I'd be more willing to go back to.

Why fix something simple when it ain't broken? Sometimes places can fall into the trap of trying to do too much. Prairie Fire is one of the few that can walk that tightrope, offering a raw bar, pizzas, pastas, a burger, seafood, and more. But everything we tried was delicious. I had an eye on so much on the menu but we ultimately went with the razor clam ceviche from the raw bar, a pepperoni pizza, the Maine lobster ravioli, and the mushroom toast (a crowd favorite). My favorites were the ceviche and the mushroom toast - do not skip it. The mushrooms are cooked perfectly and they slather a layer of parmesan aioli on the bread that cooks into it. Amazing. One of my best bites of 2025. Pepperoni pizza was pretty good but I still prefer the Neapolitan style. Have to come back to try so many other things - the Maine uni toast, the burger, the trout. The sourdough ice cream was a super unique dessert. They take the leftover butts of loaves and soak it in milk/cream and the result is almost like a less sweet salted caramel. Loved the textural addition of the poached pear. We were lucky to come around 5 on a weekend evening and snag some of the remaining bar seats but when we left, the place was completely full. Come early or get a reservation! Parking can be tough in Coolidge Corner; I recommend seeing if you can get a spot in Webster parking lot at the back of the restaurant.

The food was relatively good but nothing crazy. Had the summer squash pizza which just seemed very watery. I regularly order the pepperoni pizza and farmer's salad on uber eats. The pizza is very reliable, but farmer's salad can be hit or miss in terms of getting the freshest greens (had sometimes where they were slimy/gross).

They do both reservations and walk-ins but it's safer to make a reservation ahead if you can. It's pretty easy to make one as well; we only booked a day ahead for a Friday night. Amazing first impressions as well. They make a tiny space work perfectly; I did not feel claustrophobic at all even with full house. They have really cute decors and the space is decorated well. They have their seasonal cocktails that you can choose your choice of liquor for and martinis (both vodka and gin). They brew their espresso fresh as well so the space smells so good every time it is brewed. I got a Peru Plunder and it was fruity and light (a dangerous one). Their apple pie old fashioned has an interesting aftertaste in a good way. The bartender and the server were attentive and friendly as well. I had a great time and will definitely be coming back. -9.1/10

Service was great; we had two different servers come check on us regularly without making it feel stuffy. Super friendly, efficient, and easy to talk to. Food: -Dan Dan Noodles, 7/10: Not bad, but not a standout. The noodles are reminiscent of linguine noodles and aren't dry. The flavor could've been a bit stronger. -Eggplant, 9.8/10: Best Chinese eggplant I've had! TONS of meat on top to the point where you don't see the eggplant, flavorful, stayed warm for a while, large chunks of eggplant. Only downside was the eggplant wasn't chopped into smaller pieces so you either have to cut it yourself or bite pieces off, which can be messy with all the sauce. -Mapo Tofu, 6.5/10: Tofu wasn't the silken tofu kind that I personally enjoy more, it was the tougher type. Flavor was more subtle tha desired and there was virtually no spice. I've been here before for drinks and remember them being good/unique! Will be back to try more drinks next time :)

I read somewhere that they changed over their staff and completely obliterated their previous (awesome!) cocktail program. Our server confirmed that last November they started a new cocktail menu. We ordered our standard Trader Vic's Mai Tai (not listed on the new menu) and sent it back as it was undrinkable--super sweet with an off-putting after taste. And the interior has changed, too. Lights in the dining room are much brighter, the inclusive flag is no longer in the front window, and the funky art in the bathrooms is gone. The management or something else is definitely different. The food was hit or miss. The sauce was overly thickened glop in both the chicken with garlic and the peppercorn beef special. Saving grace was our server who was apologetic and helpful.

The waitress that was there and served us, she is amazing. Super friendly and helpful. We opted for the VIP selection because why not. For $40 a person, it's still not bad for the quality of food you get. I highly recommend it. Just check out my shortrib picture, you'll drool! The only reason I gave this review 4 out of 5 is because, there were not much seafood selection.
