Fuddruckers has always been one of my favorite burger places, so it's unfortunate that most of the Houston-area locations have closed. I used to visit the locations on Kirkwood and West Lane, but both are gone. As far as I know, the only location remaining in Houston proper is on I-10 near Town & Country. It had been a few years since I'd been, so I decided to stop by. The staff member who took our order was friendly and helpful. My wife and I decided to share the -pound Hangover Burger, which was $14. It comes with bacon and a fried egg. A combo with fries and a fountain drink is an additional $5.50, which I feel is a bit steep. They also offer -pound burgers starting around $11.50, with larger 1/2-pound and -pound options available for an additional charge. We chose the sweet potato fries, and they were really delicious. You can also choose from steak-cut or thin-cut fries. One of the things I've always enjoyed about Fuddruckers is the jalapeño cheddar cheese sauce for dipping the fries, along with the toppings bar where you can add freshly cut tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, onions, and various condiments to your burger. Our food came out promptly, and the burger was still as good as I remembered. Our total came to about $21 after tax, which isn't exactly cheap for a burger, especially when sharing one. Still, it was a good experience and brought back some nostalgia. If you're craving a good burger and happen to be in the I-10/Town & Country area, Fuddruckers is definitely worth checking out. read more

I did not know there was still a Fuddruckers left on this side of the town and this location is kind of hidden is the back so if you drive down I-10, you will have a hard time to spot the restaurant. I had a meal here recently and it brought back memories of my childhood. It was still pretty busy here doing lunch, which is good for them. Our burger came out in good time and I ask my friend to got it for me and meet here at the topping bar so I can put the veggies I want for my burger. I also love the free hot cheese sauce here. The burger was as good as I remember. As there are not much Fuddruckers left in Houston, come here for good old American hamburger meal. read more

The blues brothers immediately greets you as nineties pop music plays in the background You order your burger as well as how well you'd like the patty cooked, and pay at the counter. They'll call your name a short while later to collect. Then the fun part starts. There's an unlimited toppings bar on the side with fresh tomatoes, onions, pickles, banana peppers to choose from. And the best part? Unlimited cheese and jalapeño cheese sauce. This is what makes it in my opinion the best burger in Houston. You combo that with the soft buns and perfectly cooked patty, there's nothing like it As a native Houstonian, it's been sad to see Fuddruckers disappearing throughout the city. This review just pertains to their chili cheese dog. I purposely ordered the chili cheese dog to compare it to Portillo's. Fuddrucker's chili is entirely too salty with not as much flavor. The drink fountain is nice, you can get a good verity of flavors The atmosphere is the same as you might remember from years ago with the music memorabilia on the wall The bad It's way overpriced for what you get. There were 3 of us and we each got a burger, fries, drink and one starter and it was over $60 they are mostly bun with very little meat and yes you can add all the veggies you want, but for $20 each I could get BBQ. Also they don't disclose any of their ingredients or allergy info even online, that I could find and I looked for it. If you have any kind of allergy I would advise just going somewhere else. I used to live really close to one and there used to be one in Katy, but they've closed a lot of locations and now I remember why we stopped going. Pile it high, crown your burger however you please. Top it off with the pièce de résistance; two bubbling cauldrons of cheese (Jalapeño & Regular), free to ladle into small cups that might as well have contained the blood of Christ himself once before. We decided to take a step into what we thought was going to be a relic, but to our surprise was actually a well updated classic from the past. My opinion on Fudd's is like many people who grew up with it for the last 20-30years, it holds a special place in my memories. I wasn't sure where this chain had ended up at after all the years in ownership changes with Luby's, but we decided to give it a try as it's basically in our backyard. I think that this is one of the few legacy franchises that this millennial can think of that has somehow managed to make the transition from dated genre restaurant into the modern day fast casual. The aesthetic was a perfect blend of what made Rucker's a great Hard Rock Cafe-esque neighborhood burger spot and the clean and bright look that modern diners seem to expect. It was immaculately clean here, and not because it was dead, they definitely took pride in their space. No sticky surfaces or unbused tables, I felt good about bringing my little one here. Menu has retained the simplicity that made it easy to come here as a kid. You just order the weight and cook temp of your burger and then you fix it up yourself. There are some set upgraded combos or you can upgrade a la carte, but it's all plain as day. The toppings bar is the key to the experience and where your visits here as a kid were probably amazing but as you grew older might have gotten less pleseant. I'm happy to say the the veggie bar for burger toppings was just as spotless and clean as the rest of the restaurant. All the available toppers looked and tasted fresh and crisp, truly a difference maker of a dining experience for the better. Food all tasted yummy, shakes were rich and thick, fries are still not my favorite (I like thin and crispy) but still good! We took advantage of the $1.99 kids meals every Monday and found that to be good value for our family. Me and the wife both demolished a 1/2 burger each, and left satisfied. The prices here still kinda are how I remember them as a youngin', in the higher side vs a fast food spot. Although that gap is probably narrowing with Bidenflation, the quality here is certainly higher than a most fast food. TL/DR; Fuddruckers made the jump into the 2020's and did it by doing what it did great when we were kids. read more

Oh how I miss Fudds... This is the last operating location in Houston...I live in San Diego where all the locations have closed so this was extra special... A little bit more expensive than I used to remember, but everything is. The staff is friendly and helpful. We got through the line quickly, and my boys absolutely love their shakes and were able to get their order with french fries. One changes that they make thin fries as well as thick fries and I definitely think that's a great move. The mushroom burger doesn't have enough mushrooms on it for the extra money so I recommend just get a plain burger and loaded up with all of their sides that you can get for free. I've been coming to Fuddruckers for the past four years since I moved to Houston, Texas, and I'm so grateful for the team here in Katy. My local Fuddruckers in Kingwood closed, so now I make the trip all the way out to Katy just to enjoy the same great food. Haven't been to a Fuddruckers since my failed attempt at the 3 lb burger challenge many years ago (3LB Burger + 1lb of fries in under 1 hour.) Even in my prime amateur competitive eating days that was one of the toughest yet fun challenges. but that's a different story for a different day.. This location had plenty of parking and good customer service overall. I enjoyed the customizable menu options with various toppings; The veggie stations featuring all the condiments/toppings is always a welcome sight. The burger was okay (I added an egg and mushrooms). The onion rings were a bit too salty, and the wings could be cooked a bit longer. I'm a sucker for those fancy coke machines and always enjoy trying new flavors whenever I see them. Right when you walk in it feels like you're traveling through time. I get 90's diner vibes when i come here, and I love it! Great place for cool pictures and affordable fresh food. I recommend you bring your kids here at least once. They have Tv screens everywhere you look, this could be a great place to host a kids birthday theme party or meet up with your friends to watch an Astros game! (Information i got from the cashier) Online ordering: If you placed an order online the options to modify your burger are limited compared to just ordering to go inside the restaurant. When picking up an online order you can skip the long line and go to the big red/yellow arrow that says "To go Order Pick up". (See picture for reference) Restaurant Layout: The drink selection is huge because it is in one of those machines that have the bubble screen and all the flavors for a soda. Ex: sprite, all flavors of sprite) . You can also buy beer, they have a variety of selections to choose from. To avoid contamination, after you get your burger you can go to the vegetable area & choose as many toppings you'd like. You have to wear gloves for safety. From tomatoes, lettuce, onions, etc. All fresh. Lastly, across you can find all of the popular sauces, ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard, etc. 2 melted cheese options: Jalapeño cheese & Cheddar cheese. Two restrooms: one for men/women. The womens bathroom is not too big but does the job. Two sinks, 4 stalls. The biggest stall is handicap friendly & has a diaper changing station. Towards the back of the restaurant you can find the little arcade area, which is pretty cool. With 5 different arcade games and a bubble gum-ball machine your kid will be entertained after a good meal. I got the mushroom swiss burger and the oreo milkshake. The burger tasted great. The meat was very juicy, and the buns were really fresh. Awesome trip down memory lane. Stopped in on whim while visiting town for work. I remembered how much as a teen I loved coming to Fuddruckers. And honestly, it was just as good this time around. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not but they were playing 80s music the whole time. I hope the place sticks around and doesn't go out of business because it really is an awesome burger. It's a great place to take your family, especially after a ball game lots of kids and young families as well as the older folks enjoying the milkshakes. Burgers or chicken sandwiches are served fresh and hot and they have a bar where you can do your own toppings and have a wonderful selection of fresh veggies, pickles, etc. Add to that they have hot cheese that she can put on your fries, honey, mustard all kinds of condiments.
