The blues brothers immediately greets you as nineties pop music plays in the background You order your burger as well as how well you'd like the patty cooked, and pay at the counter. They'll call your name a short while later to collect. Then the fun part starts. There's an unlimited toppings bar on the side with fresh tomatoes, onions, pickles, banana peppers to choose from. And the best part? Unlimited cheese and jalapeño cheese sauce. This is what makes it in my opinion the best burger in Houston. This review just pertains to their chili cheese dog. I purposely ordered the chili cheese dog to compare it to Portillo's. Fuddrucker's chili is entirely too salty with not as much flavor. The drink fountain is nice, you can get a good verity of flavors The atmosphere is the same as you might remember from years ago with the music memorabilia on the wall The bad It's way overpriced for what you get. There were 3 of us and we each got a burger, fries, drink and one starter and it was over $60 they are mostly bun with very little meat and yes you can add all the veggies you want, but for $20 each I could get BBQ. Also they don't disclose any of their ingredients or allergy info even online, that I could find and I looked for it. If you have any kind of allergy I would advise just going somewhere else. I used to live really close to one and there used to be one in Katy, but they've closed a lot of locations and now I remember why we stopped going. A little bit more expensive than I used to remember, but everything is. The staff is friendly and helpful. We got through the line quickly, and my boys absolutely love their shakes and were able to get their order with french fries. One changes that they make thin fries as well as thick fries and I definitely think that's a great move. The mushroom burger doesn't have enough mushrooms on it for the extra money so I recommend just get a plain burger and loaded up with all of their sides that you can get for free. I've been coming to Fuddruckers for the past four years since I moved to Houston, Texas, and I'm so grateful for the team here in Katy. My local Fuddruckers in Kingwood closed, so now I make the trip all the way out to Katy just to enjoy the same great food. We decided to take a step into what we thought was going to be a relic, but to our surprise was actually a well updated classic from the past. My opinion on Fudd's is like many people who grew up with it for the last 20-30years, it holds a special place in my memories. I wasn't sure where this chain had ended up at after all the years in ownership changes with Luby's, but we decided to give it a try as it's basically in our backyard. I think that this is one of the few legacy franchises that this millennial can think of that has somehow managed to make the transition from dated genre restaurant into the modern day fast casual. The aesthetic was a perfect blend of what made Rucker's a great Hard Rock Cafe-esque neighborhood burger spot and the clean and bright look that modern diners seem to expect. It was immaculately clean here, and not because it was dead, they definitely took pride in their space. No sticky surfaces or unbused tables, I felt good about bringing my little one here. Menu has retained the simplicity that made it easy to come here as a kid. You just order the weight and cook temp of your burger and then you fix it up yourself. There are some set upgraded combos or you can upgrade a la carte, but it's all plain as day. The toppings bar is the key to the experience and where your visits here as a kid were probably amazing but as you grew older might have gotten less pleseant. I'm happy to say the the veggie bar for burger toppings was just as spotless and clean as the rest of the restaurant. All the available toppers looked and tasted fresh and crisp, truly a difference maker of a dining experience for the better. Food all tasted yummy, shakes were rich and thick, fries are still not my favorite (I like thin and crispy) but still good! We took advantage of the $1.99 kids meals every Monday and found that to be good value for our family. Me and the wife both demolished a 1/2 burger each, and left satisfied. The prices here still kinda are how I remember them as a youngin', in the higher side vs a fast food spot. Although that gap is probably narrowing with Bidenflation, the quality here is certainly higher than a most fast food. Even in my prime amateur competitive eating days that was one of the toughest yet fun challenges. but that's a different story for a different day.. This location had plenty of parking and good customer service overall. I enjoyed the customizable menu options with various toppings; The veggie stations featuring all the condiments/toppings is always a welcome sight. The burger was okay (I added an egg and mushrooms). The onion rings were a bit too salty, and the wings could be cooked a bit longer. I'm a sucker for those fancy coke machines and always enjoy trying new flavors whenever I see them. It's not the same. It's run by PAPPAs and they don't even have the same product. There is no bakery!! Which is part of the fuddruckers experience. The bread is not freshly made so there is no buttery bread which fundamental part fuddruckers hamburger. The meat is not good. I don't think they use 100% angus. I hadn't been here in years, so I decided to stop by recently for a late lunch. There is a veggies station where you can get whichever veggies you'd like to add to the burger. I got the mushroom swiss burger and the oreo milkshake. The burger tasted great. The meat was very juicy, and the buns were really fresh. We knew there would be a little bit of a wait but what I observed was someone's inability to read the room! He literally had 1 girl ringing up customers with a line outside of the door while he walked around, looked at screens and stood around. When I came out of the line to ask him if someone could help this poor girl ringing up all these customers by herself he said " yes when I can find someone", so we waited in line another 10 minutes while Richard still stood around and just hung out. They ruined their dream restaurant!! Horrible experience! Very disappointing! Here is what we experienced today, Nov 24 th, 2023 . We walked in to Fudruckers at Stafford, tx for lunch . It was 12 pm, they open at 11 am, after we placed our orders we were informed they were out of following items in the menu: 1) One of the main ingredient on Cajun burger- andouille sausage. 2) Out of the iconic "FUD" sauce!!! at 12 pm !!! 3) Out of fountain drinks just lemonade and Ice tea and Fanta were available, ice tea tasted bitter and rancid and disgusting, was not fresh at all. 4) Out of ketchup in the dispenser, a bottle was placed at the serving station to dispense in a small disposable cups. 5) We ordered 2 Nashville hot chicken the chicken was burnt , it had no sauce on it , the bun was burnt ( see the pics). The chicken was overcooked felt like we were chewing on shreds of chewy leather, batter tasted bitter due it being burnt. We had this sandwich before and they were not made the same. 6)We ordered Bourbon blue burger that was over cooked as well tasted rubbery and stale. Burger patty's quality was awful. 7) Tables weren't cleaned and silverware station were not stocked . 8) The lady at the register was rude and gave us attitude when we inquired why they were out of stock on so many items she rudely answered its just few things we are out of stock.
