I come here all the time so it's only right that I give them the five stars they deserve! I've had their burgers, baked potatoes and it's the only place in Houston I get chili fries from. We had an amazing lunch at this great spot to eat. The burgers were wonderful as well as the rib eye sandwich . The manager was incredibly helpful in assistance with our elderly mother and brought out our food to keep her from having to stand in the line. He even gave us paper menus, since counter service was too hard for her to stand. She made the comment that was the BEST chocolate malt she has had since she was in high school and she is 85. The crowd was mainly business people from the surrounding offices. Please stop by the Dairy Ashford and give them your support. You won't be sorry, and by the way- have yourself a malt. Becks Prime is interesting. They pride themselves in thier buns so much that they even put thier hotdogs on their hamburger buns instead of a hotdog buns. I guess it's supposed to be kitcshy but I shudder when I see it. It's like a hotdog exploded on a bun, pretty gross. Anyways, speaking of thier buns..... they're not great. Doordash honored me by delivery my food to me on a cold and snuggly day in Houston where you only leave the warmth of your bed to go to the door and grab your food delivery. Yep, not great. The Great Disintegrating Bun is what I'll call it. Crumbly with the texture of mashed potatoes. Too much give and too sloppy. It's like the juices from the burger caused it to fall apart. Becks Prime is very close to where I live. it's an order at the counter kinda place. I've lived near here for over a year, and I've only been there once. I wasn't very impressed that time, so I never went back. That time I had the burger and honestly, it wasn't their fault that I didn't like it. I like my burgers fried, and I don't believe that they fry theirs, i think its grilled, but i could be wrong. It was also a bit under for my liking. I didn't try the burger this time. Wednesday is steak night, and I wanted to give them a shot. I didn't go in with high hopes at all. The steak was $45 plus two sides. You can choose what kind of steak you want, so it's not a bad deal at all. I went with the ribeye. For my sides, I got a garden salad and loaded baked potato. They do serve your salad first by request, and my salad was ready before I even left the counter. The breakdown. Salad - it was surprisingly good. The veggies were crisp and fresh. I went with a house made dressing. I forget the name of it, but it tasted almost just like Thousand Island. It was very good. Baked potato - cooked just right, and they didn't skimp on the toppings. It even had crispy bacon on top. I'd go back just for the baked potato. It was really good. Ribeye Steak - this one was really the shocker. I order my steak medium rare. I can't stand my steak to be even just a little bit over. I'll take under any day over it being over. I know, weird, considering how I like my burgers. Now, back to the steak! I have to say that this steak was cooked to perfection and had beautiful grill marks on it. It even had some crispy parts near the fat. You know those little pieces that taste like heaven. This steak was delicious. It's probably one of the best steaks that I've had in a while. The service was also top knotch. Reminded me of how great customer service used to be. I will not lie, this place is pricy, we got two bacon cheeseburgers, truffle fries, a drink and a shake and paid over $50. Now with that being said, IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. *The staff was so sweet! They got our food out to us very quickly! *The inside of the restaurant was clean and gave a "fancy fast food" sorta vibe. The prices don't say fast food but they have a drive thru lol They also have a huge patio for outside seating as well! *The food was so delicious! This is literally one of the best juiciest burgers I have ever had, they're grilled and I asked for medium-well and it was cooked to perfection. My last review was 2 stars - and the following day I got a reply from the restaurant. The reply stated that I should reach out and contact them (and they supplied an email address). I did reach out but heard nothing back. Normally I don't bother going back to a restaurant if I have a poor experience but everyone has a bad day now and again, so I gave this place another try after more than a year. Sad to say that the prices seem to have increased (again), perhaps understandable given some inflation over the past year but what's more annoying is that their portion sizes seem to be smaller and my previous issue with soggy/greasy french fries doesn't seem to have been corrected - maybe that's just the way they serve fries but they are anything but crisp and flavorful. We came down to visit my in-laws and after church they suggested this place for lunch. There is a dine in or outside option. We walked up to the counter where a friendly employee took our order. I ordered The Kitchen Sink which is a hamburger with grilled onions, bacon, Swiss Cheese, lettuce, tomato, and guacamole. There was no bun. The hamburger was surprisingly juicy. There was ample bacon but the guacamole was a little bland. The lettuce and tomato didn't add much either. But overall it's filling and satisfying. My daughter got the children's cheeseburger which came with fries. I helped her finish her fries which needed salt but was quite crispy. Everyone else enjoyed their meal. They were quite accommodating with the orders. My mother-in-law is on the carnivore diet so she requested just a chicken breast and steak. My father-in-law wanted salad with ahi tuna. A friend invited me here for a light dinner and I was really surprised. I had a lettuce wrapped cheeseburger , sweet potato fries and wine (yay / they sell wine lol) ...it seems like fast or medium food, but the cheeseburger was definitely way better than expected. It looks like they also sell steak but I'm not sure about that yet. Overall I think this is a cool casual place to catch up with a friend. For the cost - and I mean it was COSTLY for a family of 5 - I expected WAY better food and service. There seems to always be quite a few folks behind the counter and I believe a couple are even management staff - but the service was extremely disappointing. Again - the food was room temperature at best and left much to be desired. We sat outside. The patio area wasn't anything to scream about but it definitely needed some attention. "Watch your step" needs to be plastered everywhere, as the decking needs updating bad. There are several creaky boards and gaping holes where anyone could easily get caught up in or worse yet - hurt themselves. :-/ I will not rule them out in the future, but they will certainly not be my first choice and I can guarantee even then I'll consider going elsewhere... :-( read more

Becks, one of the best burgers you will ever eat! Good: everything here is really fresh and made to order. The meat is full of flavor. I always get mine medium well. I believe they cook them medium if you don't specify. The bacon cheeseburger is our go to. We also have had the hot dog burger which is great. The fried are made to perfection hand cut and very tasty. The regular size fries are good for two people. All of the veggies are so fresh and good. They go above and beyond when it comes to quality. Sure you pay little bit more than five guys etc but you get a great burger. They closed the location on 1960. I've been going to that location for 9 years. Sad to see it go. The man taking our order today (appeared to be a manager) couldn't crack a smile or welcome us. He had an attitude. One of the men behind the counter was helpful with a smile. The chicken burger had an amazing flavor but the bun was too much bread, odd brown look and stale. It should have been a soft, very slightly sweet sourdough. At these price points the bun needs to be perfect. The fries were a bit soggy, oily and dark. The beer was cold and although the manager didn't give me a cold mug with it one of the workers grabbed one for me. Seriously, for a burger and fry place the buns are absolutely inexcusable and the fries shouldn't be dark brown and soggy. My husband's bun on his burger looked different than mine and he said his hamburger was great but his bun was stale. I'm not sure I'd go back based on the bun. It's super important. We tipped and also left the bus boy a 5 dollar tip even though there is no table service. It wouldn't hurt to check in on the customers when a tip is requested when one orders. read more

But folks, you're pricing yourselves out of this market, IMO. Your burgers have always been a little pricey, but they are grilled, and high quality, so we pay for that. But we just noticed that you charge $1 extra for a simple condiment like grilled onions, and that's after we left off a couple other condiments that are complimentary. Seems like you could maybe call that even. And my wife got an EXTREMELY small shake today, which was almost $4. For a machine-dispensed, soft serve "shake." Seriously!? We can go right down the street and get a REAL hand-spun shake in a tall soda glass, with another glass full in the metal mixing cup - just like the old days - another dollar. I know yours is made with "10% butterfat" and all, but that's really a bit much. Anyway, as much as we've enjoyed coming over the years, we'll be reconsidering the next time we're thinking of where to go for lunch on a nice day. read more
