Phenomenal food!…read more We're in Syracuse for a conference, and didn't want to spend a fortune for mediocre food at the conference hotel, so we set out to find a good local spot via Yelp. Su Su Dim Sum came up at the top of the list, so off we went. I ordered a small (pint) of hot and sour soup and lamb with scallions. My wife ordered tangerine beef, and then we ordered red bean paste steamed buns to go for breakfast tomorrow. The soup was thick, full of chunks of tofu, plenty of vegetables, a little less peppery and a little less pungent than we like, but still better than typical Chinese restaurant fare. A bowlful of fried noodles came on the side. A great start! My wife, a veterinarian, suspected that the lamb was actually beef, but that question aside, the lamb dish was delicious, with plenty of meat, chunks of bell pepper, and abundant scallions, in a delicious sauce. The star of the night was the tangerine beef, lightly breaded and perfectly fried, in a savory and slightly sour sauce. A few broccoli florets, a handful of tangerine segments, and a wonderful thick sauce completed the dish perfectly. We packed up the leftovers, collected the steamed buns, and headed back to the hotel. We grabbed some menus to give to fellow conference attendees when they ask where we went out to dinner.

We love dim sum so we looked up the local places that served it & found Su Su. The space is simple & I believe it may have once been a diner at one point in time. The staff tried their best as there were a fair amount of to-go orders & walk-ins. (As I said it was Valentine's Day) We decided to order a few different things. Each one was excellent. The flavors & temperature of each item were fantastic. I really enjoyed the pineapple fried rice. We'll certainly be going back to try a few more things!

Ngon qua if you know what I mean. The com ga/suong nuong is also really flavorful and well prepared. My absolute personal favorite is the bun bo hue, real knows real. It's delicious here. The service as many complain about is as usual as any other delicious tasting Asian restaurant. They know their food is good so what else is left to say. 10/10 no notes

Before coming to the store, I called to ask about the price of the food and was quoted one amount. When I arrived, the price was significantly higher. I calmly mentioned that there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the price. Instead of handling the situation professionally, staff went behind the doors, and I overheard them calling me "stupid." Regardless of any pricing confusion, speaking about a customer that way is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. I understand that misunderstandings can happen, but customers should always be treated with respect. After being a customer for so many years, I never expected to be treated this way. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and unwelcome. I hope the business takes customer service more seriously in the future because no one should be spoken about that way. I proceeded to take my food anyways and then found a piece of plastic bag in my food. so im not sure if they did that intentionally because I spoke up or if it was a mistake. I won't be back there for awhile.

I realize they are closing next weekend (7/18), but if you ever needed a sign to come here -…read moreconsider this it!! I'm so sad I tried Strong Hearts Cafe so late! Firstly, the space is amazing! It's bright, open, and inviting with plenty of seating. Secondly, staff are very friendly and helpful! And thirdly, their food is amazing! I'm not vegan but their food is genuinely delicious. We ordered the loaded nachos, chicken parm sandwich, and the sweet sassy molassey sandwich, chocolate mint milkshake and a green tea. The half order of loaded nachos was generous in size and toppings! It was filling without being heavy. All of the ingredients were fresh. Probably one of my top loaded nachos ever. The chicken parm sandwich was also amazing! If I didn't know this was a vegan restaurant, I would not have known that the chicken was not meat. It had the texture of perfectly cooked chicken. The stretch bread was soft, the marinara was warm and perfectly seasoned. 10/10 sandwich. The sweet sassy molassey was also quite good! Very bright, filled with vegetables and deliciously seasoned tofu. Finally, the milkshake! I would have never guessed it was vegan. It was creamy, minty, and chocolatey - like drinking thin mints! I'm determined to squeeze in more visits here before they close!

This is the place you take people who think vegan food can't be good. It's one of my top 5 vegan restaurants in the US. They have a beautiful space with lots of seats, great lighting, and a very friendly staff. It's a great place to sit with friends or even to sit with your work computer. 100% recommend - once you go, you'll just keep going back. (Chicken salad sandwich is my favorite so far!)
