I've lived in the Town of Elbridge 20+ years and I've never tried this restaurant!!! So on a Friday evening recently I had to give it a try. I ordered the hunan chicken and garlic chicken. The price was reasonable and the servings generous. It came with egg rolls which were hot & crispy but only cabbage inside. I have to say the hunan sauce was not what I thought it would be and didn't have much flavor. The garlic sauce was not spicy at all. Overall I thought it was ok but not great. read more

I am sorry there are no pictures. We have been living in this town a long time and Happy Star has always been our go to for take out. I know it has changed owners, but we appreciate it's consistently good food. I just finished my Mu Shu Pork....the order was ready in reasonable time, nicely packed, they remembered the hoisen sauce and pancakes. It was a great size portion with the vegetables cooked perfectly and a good amount of protein. My one problem, but it is the same at Most Chinese restaurants now, is that the egg rolls are small with pretty much only cabbage inside. read more

Great dinner for two (2) general Tao and a moo shoo pork. Sticky sweet yet a fair crunch on the general Tao. The mud shop was crunchy too as it should be. Not the best but very good. Happy Star is the best Chinese takeout in the western part of Onondaga County. The food is always excellent. The workers are professional and personable. I eat here a few times a month. Tried this restaurant the other night. It was typical Chinese. It was very good, but not great. The portions were very generous. We had curry chicken and sweet and sour chicken. We also had spring rolls and dumplings. The spring rolls were probably the best part of the meal. The sweet and sour chicken had a lot of breeding. read more

Happy Star is my favorite Chinese food ever. Their chicken fingers are small little pieces of chicken so they are nice and crunchy, not soggy batter. Their rice is really good, and is their lomein. I've never had bad food from their, they are cheap, and it almost always only takes 10 minutes. Again, best Chinese food I've had, and I've tried many different places! read more
