    Chicken wings and French fries

It seems like the oils used the two stars I gave them with Stoli because their service was nice and they were very kind but it wasn't the best wings or fries I've had I threw out the fries save the wings made for the dog it wasn't that great I'm sorry to say cause I can always use a quick Chinese place to get fast food Chinese but I do think them for being very kind

Asian Wok has been my families go to "take out" Chinese food location. I think what sells us is how fresh the vegetables taste. They do not over cook the veggies until they are soggy. The vegetables in their main dishes are cooked perfectly with a nice crisp texture them along with a slight fiery char flavor to them as well. The General Tso has great flavor, slight heat and a nice crispy fried coating. The shrimp was flavorful and had a light sauce so not to lose the flavors of the shrimp. The egg rolls were run of the mill egg rolls that taste like any other take out or sit down Chinese restaurant. We also really enjoy their Lo Mein. Again, the vegetables tasting fresh hits the mark! The establishment is very clean. Though it is primarily take out it, Asian Wok has three tables with a couple chairs at each one along with a high chair if needed. If I can give one tip it would be that you should either order by phone or when you arrive. I have ordered online at least twice in the past and not sure why but my order was 20-25 mins late each time. I have never had that issue when I called to place my orders. Asian Wok has been around for years. Moved to a couple of different location but looks like it is settled in it's own building. It is family run. I have watched a young boy not more then ten take my orders years ago to see him grow into a teenager now taking my order. His mom has always given a "thank you" while I'm heading out. I look forward to patronizing Asian Wok for a long time because of the fantastic food and kind family ownership!

We really wanted to love this place!!! First, the customer service here is extraordinary! Truly. It's a family owned restaurant, where the kids are helping answer phones and take payments. They were also helping with food, without gloves, which wasn't so great... but we loved seeing this family work together. Upon entry, we were greeted and took some time to look over the menu. We are from Long Island, and were just driving through, so we'd never been there before. Based on Yelp reviews, we got an order a wings and spicy dumplings. We were going to get beef lo mein, but the woman strongly suggested we get beef with spicy chili sauce. She said that it's the spiciest dish on the menu, and if we love spicy we will love it! She also said it was an authentic Chinese dish, which is something we are always looking for, so we crossed off our $8 lo mein and chose the $13 beef in spicy chili. We chose to eat in and the woman was so helpful to bring our food to us, with plates and utensils. She had the cook add extra hot peppers to our dumplings, which was such a nice touch. We started with the dumplings, which were absolutely incredible!! The dough was thin and soft, and the filling was fresh and tasty. It wasn't spicy, but we didn't care because they were just so good!! Next was the chicken wings, which were okay. They were greasy, and lacking in flavor and salt. We added the leftover chili sauce to them to give them some flavor. They were crisp and fresh, though, which was great. We couldn't wait to try the beef dish, after speaking to the woman about it at length! We opened the container to find sliced beef, zucchini, bean sprouts and a few thin slivers of carrot and celery, swimming in a sauce. We each dipped a spoon in to try it, and were SO disappointed. Not only was it not spicy at all, it had absolutely *no flavor. None. In addition, the quality of the beef was awful. It was grisly and chewy. My husband usually doesn't mind it at all, and ended up spitting a chunk out, and not being able to eat anymore. We really, really wanted this meal to be fantastic. The service was TOP NOTCH and we were so excited, anticipating that the food would match it, and it missed the mark by a long shot. If you're in the area, this place is definitely worth stopping at for the dumplings. They were GREAT!!! But that's about it for us.

    Supposedly sweet and sour chicken?

Phenomenal food!…read more We're in Syracuse for a conference, and didn't want to spend a fortune for mediocre food at the conference hotel, so we set out to find a good local spot via Yelp. Su Su Dim Sum came up at the top of the list, so off we went. I ordered a small (pint) of hot and sour soup and lamb with scallions. My wife ordered tangerine beef, and then we ordered red bean paste steamed buns to go for breakfast tomorrow. The soup was thick, full of chunks of tofu, plenty of vegetables, a little less peppery and a little less pungent than we like, but still better than typical Chinese restaurant fare. A bowlful of fried noodles came on the side. A great start! My wife, a veterinarian, suspected that the lamb was actually beef, but that question aside, the lamb dish was delicious, with plenty of meat, chunks of bell pepper, and abundant scallions, in a delicious sauce. The star of the night was the tangerine beef, lightly breaded and perfectly fried, in a savory and slightly sour sauce. A few broccoli florets, a handful of tangerine segments, and a wonderful thick sauce completed the dish perfectly. We packed up the leftovers, collected the steamed buns, and headed back to the hotel. We grabbed some menus to give to fellow conference attendees when they ask where we went out to dinner.

We love dim sum so we looked up the local places that served it & found Su Su. The space is simple & I believe it may have once been a diner at one point in time. The staff tried their best as there were a fair amount of to-go orders & walk-ins. (As I said it was Valentine's Day) We decided to order a few different things. Each one was excellent. The flavors & temperature of each item were fantastic. I really enjoyed the pineapple fried rice. We'll certainly be going back to try a few more things!

The reviews looked promising, so I called ahead and placed my order. They told me it would be ready in about 10 minutes, which was perfect. I ordered wonton soup, orange chicken, and house fried rice (my favorite because you get the mix of chicken, shrimp, and sometimes pork). I completely forgot to take photos when I first got my food, so the pictures I posted are actually from the leftovers I brought to work the next day for lunch -- which also shows they give solid portion sizes, pretty typical and generous for a Chinese restaurant. The staff was very kind, and one thing I really appreciated was that they had utensils and sauces set out for customers to grab themselves. I feel like a lot of restaurants can be a little stingy with sauces or charge for every extra, so it was refreshing to be able to take what I needed without having to ask. For that alone, I'd give them five stars for customer service. As for the food, it was good -- not bad at all -- but I personally wanted a little more flavor and seasoning. I would definitely eat here again, but I'm still on the search for my go-to Chinese spot. If anyone has recommendations for a place with bold flavor and great seasoning, let me know!

The ordering experience was one of the most bizarre and frustrating I've had in recent years. But the food itself was delicious. Since we were driving with young wailing kids in the backseat, we called the restaurant 20 minutes out to place our order. The lady who picked up the phone told me in Chinese that the restaurant was very busy, so I should place the order when I was 10 minutes away, or better yet, when I was at the restaurant. I tried to explain that the whole point of placing the order by phone was to avoid waiting, but she had put a male Chinese-speaking colleague on the phone, who told me to just order at the restaurant because he was too busy to take phone orders. With that, he promptly hung up on me. Ten minutes out, I called again and tried to order eggplant in garlic sauce and fish in chili oil. The same man I had spoken to before had tried to get me to just place the order when I arrived at the restaurant, but I again told him that we were trying to avoid waiting for our food since we had young children (now screaming) in the car. He reluctantly took my order (I was told that my third request--vermicelli with spiced minced pork--was not available). Frustratingly, when we arrived at the restaurant, they had not even started cooking our food, so we had to wait about 15 minutes. The food itself was superb. The eggplant is some of the best I've had. The fish in chili oil was also wonderfully tender, though there was a slightly higher ratio of Napa cabbage to fish than what I've usually experienced for this dish at other restaurants. The interior of the restaurant was modest and cafeteria-like. I can't comment on the service quality for dining in. If it weren't for the rough phone ordering experience, I would be keen on ordering takeout or dining in there again.
