My wife ordered tangerine beef, and then we ordered red bean paste steamed buns to go for breakfast tomorrow. The soup was thick, full of chunks of tofu, plenty of vegetables, a little less peppery and a little less pungent than we like, but still better than typical Chinese restaurant fare. A bowlful of fried noodles came on the side. A great start! My wife, a veterinarian, suspected that the lamb was actually beef, but that question aside, the lamb dish was delicious, with plenty of meat, chunks of bell pepper, and abundant scallions, in a delicious sauce. The star of the night was the tangerine beef, lightly breaded and perfectly fried, in a savory and slightly sour sauce. A few broccoli florets, a handful of tangerine segments, and a wonderful thick sauce completed the dish perfectly. We packed up the leftovers, collected the steamed buns, and headed back to the hotel. We grabbed some menus to give to fellow conference attendees when they ask where we went out to dinner.

The reviews looked promising, so I called ahead and placed my order. They told me it would be ready in about 10 minutes, which was perfect. I ordered wonton soup, orange chicken, and house fried rice (my favorite because you get the mix of chicken, shrimp, and sometimes pork). I completely forgot to take photos when I first got my food, so the pictures I posted are actually from the leftovers I brought to work the next day for lunch -- which also shows they give solid portion sizes, pretty typical and generous for a Chinese restaurant. The staff was very kind, and one thing I really appreciated was that they had utensils and sauces set out for customers to grab themselves. I feel like a lot of restaurants can be a little stingy with sauces or charge for every extra, so it was refreshing to be able to take what I needed without having to ask. For that alone, I'd give them five stars for customer service. As for the food, it was good -- not bad at all -- but I personally wanted a little more flavor and seasoning. I would definitely eat here again, but I'm still on the search for my go-to Chinese spot. If anyone has recommendations for a place with bold flavor and great seasoning, let me know!

I try not to ever be the person showing up too close to closing time, but we were craving it and made the decision to go there and eat as fast as we could or else order to go to minimize being "those people". Well they were relatively busy for a Monday night, and yet they served us quickly and kindly as usual. We even said we know there's other groups here but we will be as fast as possible and they were very kind and patient with us regardless! As for the food- the lo mein my partner got was of course delicious and reliable. My hot pot was incredible, and with ridiculously generous portions of food. The restaurant as always is clean, pleasant, and of course fun to stop on the way in or out and say hello to the turtles and fishes. Always worth a stop in to this great restaurant!

I really enjoyed the pork rolls and the absolute standout was the KFC dumplings, which we ordered as a bit of a joke, but the chicken katsu was light and fried perfectly with a well balanced spicy mayo sauce paired with it. The Shumai was not my favorite with the dumpling consistency being a bit chewy for my liking, and the Crab Rogoon (they spell it that way) was just okay, but overall, I would absolutely order from Mr Noodle and Ms Dumpling again!

Normally I am not a fan of wonton soup but their broth is SO flavorful. The texture of the wontons also manages to remain firm but reasonably doughy. Tang's regular beef dumplings are really tasty too and it makes me wish Syracuse had a dedicated dim sum place. Admittedly I am not a fan of their fried tofu- the time I had it the tofu was soggy rather than crispy. The heat- results may vary. The first time I had Tang's General Tso's - s a person who usually orders medium - it lit me up in a good way; the last time I had General Tso's is was okay/non-existent. When I last tried the Hot and Sour soup...yeah...it had me begging for mercy and not eating anything spicy for the next month. Take your chances but assume spicy if you are heat sensitive. The restaurant interior is a hole in the wall vibe, mostly geared toward take out customers. They do have lunch express buffet, and is sit-down optional it's not full table service. All of Tang's food is really flavorful, and they are my go-to for take out in Syracuse.
