    Red bean bao

This place is amazing! Everytime we come it is the same person taking our order, he is very attentive and the food is always made quickly. There is rarely anyone else in the restaurant when we are here which is so upsetting because this food is SO. GOOD. It is very clean inside and the tables are huge so you can fit all the food you order on it! The red bean bao are delicious and my go to. Very fluffy and flavorful, same with the pork bao. The wontons are chewy and delicious, perfect taste with the oil. The mapo tofu always blows me away. Can't wait to come back!

Converted diner which was a little odd but pleasant. When I went it was very cold inside so dress appropriately. The parking lot seemed a bit small for the size of the restaurant. I went for lunch on a Thursday and most of the business was take out. The star of the show were the steamed pork bao buns which were amazing. The steamed crystal shrimp dumplings were good and the ma po tofu was a little disappointing. But those steamed pork bao buns were amazing

Everything was so delicious and homemade - we had the steamed chicken dumplings, fried pork dumplings, sautéed shiang hai greens, and spicy short rib noodle soup. Very friendly service, clean atmosphere. This will definitely be our go to spot when we're craving Chinese (which is weekly, for us)

Best Chinese food in upstate NY I've ever had! It tasted like I was in NYC Chinatown. Very good quality, quick service and everything came out nice and hot! I'm so glad I saw this place on TikTok and decided to try it with my sister. It was such a pleasure to have one plate after another come out on point. I loved their pan fried buns, the beef ho fun had just the right amount of sauce, the sesame chicken was soo good and even the bok choy was tasty. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be back soon.

Su Su Dim Sum has a large menu with lots of options! My favorite so far is the sesame chicken and spring rolls.

Didn't realize that the food was picture worthy until we had finished most of it! Chicken pan fried dumplings.

I would have given this a 4.7 but Yelp only allows four or five stars so that's why we're giving it a five star because it wasn't perfect, but overall really enjoyable First and foremost: The food was better than expected. The hot and sour soup had a nice heat level - about a 3 out of 10, I probably would prefer a little bit more spice, but I think it was just right for the venue especially considering so often times hot and sour soups have no heat and it's flat without some spice. Short rib soup was delicious and shareable. Yakatori chicken skewers were also great. Lightly charred and very flavorful. We also ordered various dumplings from the dim sum menu but everyone at so fast that I only tried one pan fried and it was very good. Service: Sufficient but not super friendly. Quick service. Bathroom: Very clean, there was soap in the dispenser and paper towels to dry hands. Overall a pleasant surprise on the road.

Sad. I cant get around when a restaurant has no consistency. Ive ordered this honey walnut chicken many times as its one of my favorite dishes but today it came to me totally different. This dish is like the plain breaded chicken you would use in a sweet and sour dish except they covered it in some honey flavored mayonnaise . The dish ive had in the past was a brown sauce that was incorporated into the chicken breading sorta like the general tso dish and it was wonderful. Please be more consistent.

I've heard so many good things about this restaurant I had to try it. The inside was very casual and clean and I was greeted when I came in. You can order at the counter for take out or sit down and they'll take your order for dining in. I ordered an egg roll and Steamed Pork Bao Bun. 8 buns in the order. The egg roll was okay but after trying other items that were really excellent I'll pass on the egg roll next time. My pork buns were delicious, the bun itself was soft and thankfully thinner than most places ! The pork filling was flavorful and dipping the bun in the sauce added that nice umami taste. Most places the buns are so thick that the filling gets lost. I ordered the Roast Pork Fried Rice to bring home. I could hear them making it fresh in the kitchen and I couldn't resist trying some as I sat in the car because I knew it would be so hot and fresh. It was some of the best I've had. Lightly sauced with lots of Roast Pork pieces and lots of flavor.

Cute little Chinese take out restaurant that took over an old diner so it looks like a Chinese diner lol. Lots of room to spread out. Friendly staff and kept our tab open vs some Chinese restaurants that charge you per interaction. Only canned drinks, definetly prefer fountain for a sit down experience. Food tasted great. Was exactly $20 a person with tax and tip which is not bad. They also had duck on the menu which I love but definetly need to prepare for so I will be back!

The interior is clean and nicely decorated with some greenery and pictures. They have a pretty extensive menu but I was keeping it simple and tried the hot and sour soup and the steak and cheese bao buns. The dough on the buns has a semi-sweet flavor to it. I'd like to try their dumplings in the future. The hot and sour soup had nice fresh veggies and I could taste the notes of sour but I didn't get the spicy kick I was looking for. There was one server and the place wasn't packed but he was very friendly. I'd definitely go back and try more of the menu.

    Shrimp and pork dumplings
    Tom M.

Great service and convenient location with plenty of parking! However, the dumplings were pretty bland and seem to be predominantly the frozen variety that you can get at any Asian grocery store. The shrimp dumplings actually tasted handmade, but lacking of real shrimp or they just were not fresh. The ingredients were either stored for a while or just not balanced with the protein. Of course, there are few places that offer dim sum in Syracuse so I was excited when I discovered it but also it seems that most people would not have much experience with what good dim sum is. Great concept but poorly executed.

    Shumai pork and shrimp

You drive up and see that the parking lot is empty. Initial thought is that this place sucks so much that no one wants to dine there. You open the doors and find yourself greeted by staff welcoming you to sit wherever you like. You patiently wait for your friend to show up because you didn't want to be dining alone in this aesthetically pleasing and clean establishment. What you don't know is -- this place has only been open a month! No wonder it's not bustling (yet). The shumai shrimp and pork were my favorite out of everything I ordered. Everything tasted great -- even my friend that never had dim sum enjoyed the food and experience. I noticed a handful of people ordering food delivery from this place -- so while there may not be any people dining in house -- there are some eating take out from here. Looking forward to trying more of their food and supporting this new local business.

Salt and pepper shrimp.... Soooooo good, 1st time trying. Not a saucy dish but well seasoned ...

Who has eaten at Su Su Dim Sum? We were going to take out of town family to erwan but are closed for vacation 2weeks. Are they only Chinese or Thai also? we like PadThai.

The room is very pretty, though they haven't managed to vent airflow away from the tables with a redirecting fin, I'd rather that than sweating on a summer's day. The drinks were great, if a bit overpriced at $10-$15 each for mocktails. The appetizer, Chicharrones De Calamar, was clearly previously frozen but overcooked calamari, no crispiness detected despite the rubberiness of being overcooked. My entree featured the fries my fellow reviewer called out, the puff-potato finest frozen, rather than fresh cut and rice that was so dry it was crunchy. The beef was not anything special and my dining companion went so far as to lament that we hadn't just dealt with the heat in their kitchen to make something instead. My companion had the cazuela and said it was fine but nothing particularly worth visiting for again. The hosting staff seemed wonderfully warm and welcoming. The wait staff were unaware of how to approach a table to place or remove dishes, what fork and knife placement might indicate that you are either continuing to dine or finished (or to ask, rather than assume a plate is ready to remove), and movement around the tables was generally awkward. I hope they're working on these skills as they all seem so lovely but service is lacking. We stopped in on a whim on a Wednesday night and while I don't regret trying somewhere new, I regret that it was Inka's.

My family and I recently dined at Aloha Krab to celebrate a special occasion. Unfortunately, our…read moreexperience was extremely disappointing, especially considering our bill was over $600. While packing our leftovers, our server, Nathan, picked up one of the takeout bags. It was clearly leaking, but instead of immediately setting it back down on the plate or tray, he continued lifting and moving it. As a result, the bag gave way, spilling liquid everywhere. It covered the table, my daughter's cellphone, my other daughter's purses, and the surrounding area before the bag ultimately dropped onto the floor. I understand that accidents happen, and we would have been much more understanding if this had simply been an unavoidable mistake. However, Nathan could clearly see that the bag was leaking. Instead of setting it back down immediately to prevent a bigger mess, he continued moving it, which caused the bag to burst and spill everywhere. That is what made this situation so frustrating. Rather than handling the situation with urgency or concern, Nathan simply left the spilled bag on the floor, grabbed another bag from a nearby table, and continued packing the food. He apologized, but no one offered towels, extra napkins, assistance with cleaning up, or any type of compensation. We were left to clean the mess ourselves using the napkins already on the table. The only thing that was cleaned was the floor. An employee came over with a dirty mop and bucket and mopped around us while we were still trying to gather our belongings and clean ourselves up. Not once did anyone ask if my daughter was okay or show any real concern for the damage to her phone or our belongings. When my other daughter's purses were covered in the spilled food and liquid, the only thing Nathan offered was a rag and a bottle of Windex, which was completely inappropriate considering the situation. My daughter's phone is now displaying a liquid detection warning in the charging port and may need to be replaced because of the spill. Sadly, this isn't our first negative experience with Nathan. Every time we've had him as our server, he has had an attitude and wears an earbud throughout the entire meal, which comes across as unprofessional and inattentive. Since gratuity was automatically included, it honestly felt like there was little concern about providing quality customer service. We chose Aloha Krab to celebrate with our family, but instead we left frustrated and disappointed. We hope management takes this complaint seriously, addresses this incident appropriately, and reaches out regarding the damage to my daughter's phone. After this experience, we have decided that we will not be returning to Aloha Krab. What should have been a special family celebration turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. We expected much better service and professionalism, especially after spending over $600. We hope management takes the necessary steps to ensure no other family has to experience what we did.
