Phenomenal food!…read more We're in Syracuse for a conference, and didn't want to spend a fortune for mediocre food at the conference hotel, so we set out to find a good local spot via Yelp. Su Su Dim Sum came up at the top of the list, so off we went. I ordered a small (pint) of hot and sour soup and lamb with scallions. My wife ordered tangerine beef, and then we ordered red bean paste steamed buns to go for breakfast tomorrow. The soup was thick, full of chunks of tofu, plenty of vegetables, a little less peppery and a little less pungent than we like, but still better than typical Chinese restaurant fare. A bowlful of fried noodles came on the side. A great start! My wife, a veterinarian, suspected that the lamb was actually beef, but that question aside, the lamb dish was delicious, with plenty of meat, chunks of bell pepper, and abundant scallions, in a delicious sauce. The star of the night was the tangerine beef, lightly breaded and perfectly fried, in a savory and slightly sour sauce. A few broccoli florets, a handful of tangerine segments, and a wonderful thick sauce completed the dish perfectly. We packed up the leftovers, collected the steamed buns, and headed back to the hotel. We grabbed some menus to give to fellow conference attendees when they ask where we went out to dinner.

Although our order did take much longer to prepare than the estimated time, I could appreciate that they were making it fresh. My family had the General Tso's with fried rice and all remarked on how delicious it was. I had the Mongolian beef with shrimp fried rice and also thought it was great. The beef was very tender and savory, and I enjoyed the hint of spice in the Mongolian sauce. We all split pork dumplings and egg rolls, which were very good. Overall a great experience and I would def order from here again!

I have been craving some really, really good authentic Chinese food for a while now, and while I…read morewas in the area, I immediately checked Yelp to see what people were saying about this spot. The reviews looked promising, so I called ahead and placed my order. They told me it would be ready in about 10 minutes, which was perfect. I ordered wonton soup, orange chicken, and house fried rice (my favorite because you get the mix of chicken, shrimp, and sometimes pork). I completely forgot to take photos when I first got my food, so the pictures I posted are actually from the leftovers I brought to work the next day for lunch -- which also shows they give solid portion sizes, pretty typical and generous for a Chinese restaurant. The staff was very kind, and one thing I really appreciated was that they had utensils and sauces set out for customers to grab themselves. I feel like a lot of restaurants can be a little stingy with sauces or charge for every extra, so it was refreshing to be able to take what I needed without having to ask. For that alone, I'd give them five stars for customer service. As for the food, it was good -- not bad at all -- but I personally wanted a little more flavor and seasoning. I would definitely eat here again, but I'm still on the search for my go-to Chinese spot. If anyone has recommendations for a place with bold flavor and great seasoning, let me know!

Must stop spot for hot pot!…read more I have always been a fan of red chili, but I've finally had the chance to do hot pot, and it was amazing. I try not to ever be the person showing up too close to closing time, but we were craving it and made the decision to go there and eat as fast as we could or else order to go to minimize being "those people". Well they were relatively busy for a Monday night, and yet they served us quickly and kindly as usual. We even said we know there's other groups here but we will be as fast as possible and they were very kind and patient with us regardless! As for the food- the lo mein my partner got was of course delicious and reliable. My hot pot was incredible, and with ridiculously generous portions of food. The restaurant as always is clean, pleasant, and of course fun to stop on the way in or out and say hello to the turtles and fishes. Always worth a stop in to this great restaurant!

I did find a person who visited this one and another one, Jianghu Café and so I asked her if I could only visit one, which do I do, and she said Jianhghu was the winner winner Szechuan lunch. I did go there and it was great! But I found myself having one additional dinner time without plans, so I came here as well. Walking in, I noticed what appeared to be a common Asian Massage Parlor next door, yo uget to it via the entry way that bring you here as well. Kinda odd, but it didn't bother me. Walking into this restaurant, it's very nicely laid out and beautifully décor'd! The servers and staff spoke great English and were very helpful, especially when answering questions about their menu. I started with their Garlic Cucumbers, but I asked for them to be spicy and Wow, they did a GREAT job with them! They weren't very hot, but so much spiciness and flavor - I loved them! Next up was to get their cumin chicken. They do cumin style in all their proteins, which makes for some great options. I chose their basic fried rice to come with this. The fried rice and cumin chicken were both amazing... Perfectly spiced and loaded with flavor. There were several Szechuan peppercorns in the dish, which added to the aroma and flavor of the dish. Overall - I really like this dinner! While I do feel Jianghu is slightly better, this is amazing as well!

I came here with my family and we ordered a bunch of things to try such as the dry sautéed green beans, salt and pepper squid, walnut mayo shrimp, pepper steak, and dry fried fish fillet. The things to definitely try are the green beans and the pepper steak. The steak was so tender and flavorful and the green beans were also tasty as well. The other items were ordered were tasty but the portion size was rather lacking and could've been more substantial for the cost. Overall I would definitely come here again

I really enjoyed the pork rolls and the absolute standout was the KFC dumplings, which we ordered as a bit of a joke, but the chicken katsu was light and fried perfectly with a well balanced spicy mayo sauce paired with it. The Shumai was not my favorite with the dumpling consistency being a bit chewy for my liking, and the Crab Rogoon (they spell it that way) was just okay, but overall, I would absolutely order from Mr Noodle and Ms Dumpling again!

Tang is some of the best Chinese-American food I have ever had…read more I have most often ordered the American classics at Tang's to great success. Normally I am not a fan of wonton soup but their broth is SO flavorful. The texture of the wontons also manages to remain firm but reasonably doughy. Tang's regular beef dumplings are really tasty too and it makes me wish Syracuse had a dedicated dim sum place. Admittedly I am not a fan of their fried tofu- the time I had it the tofu was soggy rather than crispy. The heat- results may vary. The first time I had Tang's General Tso's - s a person who usually orders medium - it lit me up in a good way; the last time I had General Tso's is was okay/non-existent. When I last tried the Hot and Sour soup...yeah...it had me begging for mercy and not eating anything spicy for the next month. Take your chances but assume spicy if you are heat sensitive. The restaurant interior is a hole in the wall vibe, mostly geared toward take out customers. They do have lunch express buffet, and is sit-down optional it's not full table service. All of Tang's food is really flavorful, and they are my go-to for take out in Syracuse.

There was no one else in the restaurant but I didnt think much of it as this is an off time to eat a meal. We were seated with menus, promptly provided with water and a fried noodle snack dish. I asked for a menu in Chinese (Mandarin) as English is my Chinese Wife's second language but was told they did not have one (NP most American-Chinese restaurants do not but is worth asking i.e. The Red Chili restaurant in the same area provides a traditional Chinese menu). As soon as I started to order, the server interrupted me and told me that the cook had left on an errand and would not be back for at least 30 minutes and asked us if we mind waiting; she did offer to make some appetizers herself but there was enough uncertainly to cause us to decline and leave. My wife use to own a restaurant in Changchun (China) she agreed that the first bad decision was advertising they are open with no chef, the second silly decision was to wait so long before telling us.
