Very good food and drinks. Not your usual chain menu. It was very cld and it could not be adjusted.

Overall: We had a good experience at Bonefish Grill while having dinner with close friends / another couple. The food was generally good, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the restaurant was clean, comfortable, and inviting. There were definitely some things that could have been better, but overall we left satisfied. The Good Easy reservations: Making a reservation was simple and convenient. Great online menu: I really liked being able to look at the menu ahead of time on a phone or tablet, including photos of many of the dishes. It makes deciding what you want much easier before you arrive. Quick seating: We were seated almost immediately, even though our entire party had not arrived yet. Friendly, attentive staff: Everyone we encountered was very polite, helpful, and professional. Our server was particularly responsive and maintained a good attitude throughout the meal. Good menu selection: There was a nice variety of seafood, meats, sides, appetizers, and other choices, so everyone in our group was able to find something appealing. Accessibility: I noticed that the staff was especially polite and attentive toward guests with disabilities, and the restaurant appeared to have good accessibility. That's something worth mentioning and appreciating. Good teamwork: The staff seemed to work well together rather than everything falling on one particular server. Prompt service: Our food came out promptly, and we never felt like we were waiting excessively. Fresh, quality ingredients: The seafood, pasta and vegetables we had were good quality and tasted fresh. Drinks/bar: The beverage selection was very good, including a nice selection of beers on tap. Our drinks were good overall, and we never had an empty glass sitting in front of us for long. The Not-So-Good There were a few things that kept this from being a five-star experience for us. Host area was a bit cramped- not enough room for people waiting so they were in front of the host stand (which you must report to) Food temperature: This was probably the biggest disappointment. Most of our food arrived around room temperature, with some of it only slightly above that. The food itself was generally good quality, but seafood in particular is much more enjoyable when it's served properly hot. This is something I would definitely like to see improved. Undercooked jasmine rice: My wife ordered jasmine rice as a side and found it to be noticeably undercooked. She didn't mention it until we were near the end of the meal and getting ready to order dessert. At that point she was already full, and since we don't go out looking for compensation, I initially felt there wasn't much point in bringing it up. One of our guests politely disagreed and mentioned it to the server. To the restaurant's credit, the server immediately offered to replace it with something else, but my wife declined. So although the rice was disappointing, I thought the server handled the complaint appropriately. Overall The dessert was delicious, and we ultimately left feeling satisfied with the meal and our experience. There was also a drink special going on: I had three IPAs from the tap for only $6 each, which I thought was an exceptional deal. I'm not sure whether that was the advertised special or whether there was some other discount applied, because if it was something other than the regular special, we weren't specifically informed. With a full/average tip, the total for my wife and me came to approximately $110, which I felt was reasonable for the meal and drinks. Bottom line: We had a good time, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back. However, the food temperature issue and the undercooked rice kept the experience from standing out enough to make Bonefish Grill one of our favorite restaurants. Still, it's a clean, comfortable restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere, good service, a solid menu, and quality ingredients--and we left satisfied. Would I return? Yes. Service was attentive and friendly. Nice interior, though the bathrooms were really dark. Could use some more lighting in there and be a bit more clean. The food was good. Meals, apps, and drinks came out promptly. Slighty on the salty side for the chilean sea bass. Everything was cooked well. When taking home a pasta dish some more bread was offered to go with the meal which was thoughtful. We came here on a Saturday night during parent's weekend. Thanks God we were able to find a reservation during the busiest weekend in Syracuse. They were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. We really like our server. We shared the crispy cauliflower which was amazing. For my entree I ordered the salmon with mango sauce with 2 sides : broccoli and asparagus. I really enjoyed my meal so did my lady bug who ordered the mahi mahi. Please keep in mind this is a fish restaurant. I read some reviews that discussed about their lack of presentation. I did not find this at all, but if you do think presentation is lacking, you are welcome to go to a place that serves bite sized portions with beautiful presentations. There was no indication of any interruptions of service or anything in particular happening at that location at the time of our reservation. We live in Oswego and while Fayetteville isn't a huge hike by any stretch, it's worth noting that it takes nearly an hour to get there. When we arrived, everything seemed just this side of chaotic. There were two large parties in the center of the main dining area. One party seemed to have 12-15 people while the other was 7-10. Our waitress stopped to get our drink orders. She seemed apathetic. She wasn't unfriendly but she was very flat when she spoke. She brought our drinks, asking if we planned to order appetizers. My sister put in an order for two different appetizers (calamari and shrimp). The waitress asked if we were ready to order. My sister ordered a soup as well as her entree. I ordered lobster ravioli, two sides and a salad. The appetizers came out. The calamari was extremely greasy. The shrimp were good but the plate they were on was filled with gross lettuce, likely just there to trick people into thinking they're getting more than they actually are. The whole time, our waitress was one of three servers helping with the big tables. Myself and my sister were going largely ignored. Our drinks weren't refilled frequently and our waitress was preoccupied with the other tables. Fine, sure. It's a busy night. That makes sense, but if they're short staffed, call others in. We were finished with the appetizers for 10-15 minutes before someone came to our table with our entrees. My sister asked about her soup, my salad and my sides. The guy delivering the food seemed confused. After a little bit, he arrived back to the table with what was missing. Our waitress stopped over, said she was going to take off the sides for us. She came back a little later and refilled our drinks. The salad I received had very little dressing and was overloaded with pumpkin seeds. I wasn't asked if I wanted a protein on top of it (which would have been better in retrospect). The bacon mac & cheese wasn't hearty and the cheese was very thin, almost just like milk. The truffle fries were way over salted. The other problem was that all the sides were cold by the time I got to them. My sister did say she enjoyed her soup. By the time we were finished with the salad, soup and sides, our entrees were cold. It took nearly 25 minutes before our waitress approached. She said, "How's everything tasting?" My sister said, "Could we have these warmed up?" The waitress said, "Do you want them remade?" My sister said, "That would probably be best." The waitress took our plates and walked away. No apology and very flat like before. She comes back to refill our drinks and clear some of our table. The waitress said, "So, the main dishes were cold but you were able to eat the sides?" I nodded. "Yeah, they weren't exactly hot either." The waitress came back quickly with some attitude, "But, you still ate them." I said, "Yes." She nods, walking away. At this point, my sister could do nothing besides wait. After about 10 minutes, our food came back. Despite being told it was remade, it just appeared that everything was rearranged on the plate. The food itself wasn't warm but the plate was hot to the touch which is usually a good indication it was microwaved. At this point, my sister and I just wanted to finish and go. After making the reservation, driving, being ignored and then having the order messed up, we had enough. A gentleman came to our table. He apologized for the mistakes, offering us free dessert and $10 towards a club that my sister is in. We accepted, thanking him. He kept saying how they were short staffed and his staff overbooked. These seemed like somewhat flimsy excuses. My lobster ravioli tasted weird. Like slightly sour and it was also lukewarm. I can't imagine if the guy really recooked everything that what I ate would only have been lukewarm. When my sister and I ordered dessert, I was served what looked to be an old piece of key lime pie. It appeared as though it had been left out, thawed mostly and then put back in the fridge/freezer. When I cut into the slice, it split strangely. The top portion was hard but the middle was a thinner consistency. It was like a thick film on top. It was also lopsided which made it look even more as though it had melted. After this, we received the bill, paid and left. Overall, it was an incredibly disappointing experience. My sister typically likes going to Bonefish for her birthday every year. It's become a tradition. Last night she said she doesn't think she wants to go there anymore because of how bad the experience was. Note: the large parties seemed to be having a good time but they were so loud that my sister and I could barely have a conversation. I understand that other parties can have a good time; I'm not debating that. I just don't think the good times can be had but that shouldn't be at the expense of the other patrons. read more

I went in there today to get some lunch... I had gone for a long walk on the Erie Canal and was a bit hungry and got off it... I was in the mood for something light, first thing, the bartender brought me some bread with a dipping sauce which is really really good and the bread was. fresh and I ordered a seasonal option... It was pineapple glazed shrimp with risotto, whoa... so good, it walked the line between savory and suite... the shrimp was very tender and that glaze is wonderful. Another month, another wine pairing dinner at Bonefish! This dinner was a 4 course pairing with a variety of red and white wines. The food was delicious with the only exception being the roasted potatoes which were so salty, they were truly inedible. The manager was made aware by several diners so hopefully that will be corrected. The soft lighting is always comforting. The servers worked as a team to ensure timely and temperature appropriate delivery to all dishes. The manager always parts us with a small thank you gift of a couple candies and a coupon for a complimentary bang bang shrimp. There is also raffle held for usually 3 gifts. The manager gives one to all dines with additional tickets available for purchase. The funds go towards the Bonefish foundation that helps struggling employees and/or those in need of help due to a natural disaster. Our server was enthusiastic about many things on the menu, though she was especially effervescent about the butterfish, so we took her advice and ordered it. I'm not sure what it was supposed to taste like, but the fish we were served was either nearly spoiled or undercooked. It had a slimy texture and an "off" flavor. I did not finish the fish, as its taste was unpleasant. Given the servers positive experience with this meal, I think the problem with our fish originated in the kitchen. I went there for Saturday lunch with a friend.. a special treat. I ordered the Eggs Benedict without ham. This is something I order occasionally-- and I've had some excellent ham-free EB from a few venues. I was so disappointed! The english muffin was hardly toasted, the eggs were practically raw -- not poached like I've always received them in prior orders -- and so bland! Hardly any of the Hollandaise sauce. We Almost ordered another meal. Our waitress must be on her first restaurant job, too loud, I had to tell her I was ready after she walked past 3 times in a nearly empty place. We were visiting the area and my friend misses Bonefish because the one near us closed. I had never been before. I ordered Chicken Marsala. The presentation was ugly, slapped on a plate with a scoop of dry mashed potatoes and a large plop of broccoli. The chicken was dry and tough as heck. I had to ask the waiter for a sharp knife to even cut it. I didn't want to ruin my friends meal so I just knawed my way through it. Had to ask for butter to moisten the dry potato. Broccoli was steamed with nothing to give them any appeal. Overall, her filet plate also looked dry and unappealing and this $30 dinner was dry and almost inedible. I would never go back. Service was ok tho waiter was out to lunch and had to be reminded to bring requested butter and did some spaced out things. First impressions were confusing to say the least, the restaurant seemed to be clashing in style with both fancy dining tables and decor, and also a casual bar on as you walk in. It was pretty empty inside and felt a bit eerie. The service was awkward to say the least, usually in most restaurants i go to the service treats you like a pal who's just walked in, but for Bonefish Grill it felt like we were completely disconnected as though we were two different species on Earth. There wasn't anything super egregious though, apart from one server who seemed like he really didn't care about his job and would just slam the drinks on our table then leave (he also forgot to give us straws). We also had to wait a fairly long time for our food to come out, roughly a good 50 minutes, despite there being very little people eating inside. For an appetizer I ordered the bang bang shrimp and i got fish and chips for the meal, my family member ordered a filet with rice and mashed potatoes. The shrimp was fantastic! It melted in my mouth and left me craving for more at every bite, and it had just the right amount of heat and flavor. The bread and oil we were provided was also pretty good. Our main courses were not great. The fries i got were good, but the fish was very oily and instead of a nice crispy fish i got doughy, flavorless bites. My family member's Steak was ordered as medium well, however the steak came out with a lot more pink, and when tasting it we both tasted a fishy flavor on the meat, which is cross contamination. The rice and mashed potatoes provided however, were pretty standard. Overall, we did not have a good experience for our first time here, and while there were some bright spots, I feel as though the negatives vastly outweigh the positives. My bill came to $50. I ordered bourbon salmon, mashed potatoes, spinach, and a piece of coconut pie. My food sat until it was cold despite me attempting to notify them I was there to pick it up. The mashed potatoes were only edible once I drowned them in butter. The spinach is so chew I can't eat it. I have found so many bones in this piece of salmon that I am throwing it away. I have not tried the pie but do not have high expectations. Will never order from Bonefish again and will be letting others know. The quality has gone all the way downhill. Yuck. read more

We live only a mile from Bonefish Grill and do eat and have eaten here frequently over the years. The restaurant has always been impeccably clean with a warm, inviting atmosphere. With three sons, all over 6'3" tall, our family prefers to sit at the elevated tables in the bar area but the dining room was always very nice too. We've, obviously, had many different servers over the years but, by in large, the wait staff and the hostesses and hosts have almost always been very friendly, polite, and efficient. The bang bang shrimp and the fried calamari are our two "go to" appetizers and there's always plenty of warm, fresh bread, with refills, while you're awaiting your dinners. Each of us has his favorite fish entrees but we're always interested to see what's new on the "specials menu". In most cases you're welcome to substitute side dishes, which is rare in many restaurants. In full disclosure, I don't think any of our family has ever tried any of the chicken or beef dishes (we go there for seafood) so we really can't vouch for those. Although we're usually too full for dessert, the ones we've tried have been excellent. All in all, we really enjoy the Bonefish Grill and find it disappointing to see some of the less than positive reviews posted. As regulars at the Bonefish, who have eaten there many times, we just haven't experienced that. We'll definitely be back ! read more

I have 3 words for you: Bang Bang Shrimp. I don't even like shrimp and I enjoy the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer at Bonefish. Besides the shrimp, the menu features a predictable spread of fish entrees for a seafood restaurant: salmon, sea bass, mahi, and rainbow trout. Entrees come with a choice of finishing sauce. My personal favorite is the lemon butter caper sauce. For non-seafood folks, there are steaks and chicken entrees available as well. Most of the time I will opt for the salmon or mahi and generally they are very good. On my last visit, I did get a mahi filet that was overcooked and as a result, pretty rubbery. The seasoning was still good and I made it work, but it was still disappointing. Luckily this is a rarity and most dinners I've had there are on point. The Fayetteville location is usually steadily busy on any night I've been, but they are good about getting tables ready pretty quickly for diners that are waiting. The bar drinks are good, but can be pricey. If you're in the mood for seafood in central NY, you'll do well to try the Bonefish as they have good service and good food. read more

With the demise of Bonefish in Rochester, Fayetteville is the closest open grill. We actually went to redeem Fathers Day bonus coupons that expire the end of the year. The 800# contacts were absolutely no help in allowing the use at any other Blooming Brands restaurant (Carrabbas, Outback) locally. Can't blame this on the restaurant. They are practicing very obvious COVID precautions with the booths partitioned around the periphery of the dining room, with the center being off-limits! The menu and service was familiar with Victor's location which we had frequently enjoyed. We did miss mussels, which were no longer available, but everything else was great. Be sure to call the restaurant direct for reservations since hours may change and to verify is any discounts will be valid that you may have saved during the location shutdown. read more

I absolutely love coming to the Bone Fish Grill. Their food is always so good and they have burgers for those who don't like seafood but the menu is heavily seafood which I love! I always get the bang bang shrimp for my meal. It's a huge portion so I think it would be enough if someone had for a meal on its own. They had some awesome specials like the pumpkin ravioli so I gave that a try and it was amazing! It didn't taste too overwhelming if pumpkin and the sauce was delicious as well. To end the day I split the pumpkin lava cake which was so good but very sweet so I definitely recommend sharing. The server was great! I always drink so much water at restaurants so he kept refilling my water at the perfect moments. I love the atmosphere and vibe of the bonefish as well. I brought my 3 year old and they do have a kids menu and are kid friendly which is always a plus. I absolutely will come here again and recommend this place to any seafood lover! read more

There are plenty of food options in the Fayetteville area, however this spot is great for delivery with little mouths to feed. The macaroni and cheese is delightful and always a hit. My first experience here was a birthday brunch, and the food was awesome. I'm a brunch fanatic so good food and drinks can seal the deal for me. Lately however we just order delivery for our kids when they are hungry and we don't have time to cook. They have a great menu with plenty of options. The portion sizes are a little small for the pricing but when it comes to convenience that's a small price to pay. They also have the only vegetables our children will willingly eat, so I love them more for that. read more
