Gary's restaurant is a hidden gem. We had a delicious meal and the view of the lake can't be beat! Service was excellent.

Renting a lake cottage for a long weekend. Ordered takeout for dinner and it was awesome. Burgers were done perfectly and buns fresh.

Unbelievably rude staff upon entrance, I've left my last three attempts and now I'm done. If you can't do your job respectfully, leave.

Waitress came to take order and learned most if not all the seafood was frozen and not fresh. Waitress was friendly but had to ask multiple times for things like plates to share appetizers with the group or drink refills. Food took awhile to come out. I had to do a double take when my salad came out as the parmesan cheese on my Caesar Salad was melted over top of salad. I get this was a seafood restaurant but I am a snob when it domes to seafood and do not care for fishy smelling frozen items. Thought salad would be a safe choice after all how difficult is it to put lettuce into a bowl. I would be wrong. My salad appeared to have been left under a heat lamp and lettuce was welted and not good. Cheese was baked into lettuce and melted onto the grilled chicken. Haddock was dried out and appetizers were not good. Even the desserts what few they had on the menu were processed and not made at restaurant or one of the local bakeries. This to me was an overpriced frozen dinner place. Definitely not worth it. Even the music ended up just being a DJ rather than a band. Best part of the evening aside from being with friends was hearing songs from my past. Restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating which gave it a beachy vibe.

The fried clam strips are absolutely a must. They are getting hard to find around the country and it is a pleasure to be able to get them when in Utica. They are seasoned just right. The oysters were a bit small, but very fresh and served with wonderful accompaniments. The haddock was perfectly cooked. And everyone at my table seemed pleased with the full variety of this most satisfying menu. Coffee and dessert were very nice. No cappuccino or espresso, but that's not why you come to this delightful seafood restaurant. I will continue to come back when I am in Utica.

The dining area had lots of decorations as you'd imagine the theme was beach like. Started off with calamari and it was very unique - the rings were cut thinner than most places and the light breading really let the flavors come through...definitely fresh and really good. Opted for the deep fried haddock and shrimp special, shrimp were very large and still had bite to them so I have to believe they were very fresh. Beer battered haddock was good - two strips with a nice coating. Took a pic of the dinner but it came out lousy - good reason to return.

Short wait time to order 10-15 minutes and short wait time for pick up. The small lobster roll is up to a whopping $26! It was fresh and packed with buttery lobster. The lobster tots were amazing, with a fair amount of lobster for $22. We shared both. The Brewery had cleared out a bit by the time we received food. Plenty of room at the bar and tables to enjoy our food. Huge improvement on two plus hour wait time last visit. But I think Mother Nature dictates the turn out at these events as well.

The truck opened right on time and it didn't take long to place my order. My order took about 10 minutes, 1 hot Connecticut Lobster Roll and 1 Cold Maine lobster Roll. It was a such a beautiful spring day I decided to open the back of my van and eat in the sun! ( There was no place to eat at this business.) The hot buttery Connecticut roll was tender and delicious, it had a nice amount of lobster meat. The other roll, the cold one had noticably less meat. I was disappointed but it was delicious and next time I'll try something else, people were saying that the lobster tacos and lobster quesadillas were very good too.

Then greeted by Kyle our waiter who was awesome! So classy, and so prompt, great service, suggestions, check backs, fantastic! Now the food! The bang bang cauliflower was delicious. Outstanding salads with tender chicken on the Caesar salad and the shrimp was perfectly cooked on the Asian salad with crisp mixed lettuce and a sweet savory dressing. Kudos to the chef or chefs. One of the best restaurants! We will be back! Hoping to sit on the outdoor patio that I am sure is wonderful in a nice day. They also have a private room for special events. The average wait time is 20 minutes beyond your reservation time. Once you are finally seated, the wait staff are knowledgeable and friendly and will help you select your evening repast. And then you will wait again. Typically at least 20 minutes for your food. For your drinks, for your appetizers. It wasn't always like that. There is an internal inefficiency in their kitchen operations in recent months that results in delays. They seem to have enough staff. They just seem to have lost their rhythm. The ambience is lovely, the table settings fine. But there are little things that are slipping. As you can tell from my many reviews of this restaurant over the last several years, this beautiful establishment has achieved four stars. But today in June 2026, their beautiful cuisine is served on nice porcelain plates, but their coleslaw is served in a paper cup. The music is way too loud so you can't have a conversation at the table unless you scream. And they claim to not be allowed to turn the music down. They clearly cater to the 30 and under crowd. The 60s and older are not a priority for them. Wine is properly served, and the drinks are nicely mixed but to get a refill will take you a very long time. When the tables around you are empty, it begs the question as to what is the cause of the delay. My last two dinners here experienced these inexcusable delays. I hope they get the problem straightened out. Because this really is a destination restaurant.
