The outside really replicas the inside. Such a cute spot. If you can sit outside only if it's nice weather as I did get that and was able to enjoy. We had a wonderful waitress Jess who was on point with all our questions about the area and very welcoming when you came in. The food and drinks were good and portion to the right unfortunately for me - I didn't get to have a real dish but my mom did and she enjoyed it! Very cool atmosphere- a must go to restaurant when on vacation.

The food was just good to me. I would say the views are really nice and you can sit right next to the beach. There service was a bit slow but very kind. The tacos were pretty good but the burger was just fine nothing too special. Wanted to get a frozen drink but they weren't cold enough yet. The decor was cute and there is a casino inside the same area too. Parking was paid and short walk over.

Wedge salad with all the normal fixings and an apple cider glaze!

The Lake House is a scenic and fun place to eat, if you enjoy gambling......only slots. Sits right on Sylvan Beach so if you dine outside the views are spectacular. They offer live music on Friday and Saturday evenings which sets a great ambience on the deck while eating or having some drinks at the outdoor bar. The food is good, well portioned, but not over the top. I had the Elote burger and was cooked perfectly again good flavor, truffle fries were well seasoned and the garlic aioli added a nice touch. My wife ordered the blueberry Swiss grilled cheese....before you go into shock, the flavors were amazing , she loved it, and actually finished hers before I finished mine which typically doesn't happen! The best part was the service and the wedge salad we shared as an appetizer. Service is over the top here, very attentive and great conversation. The wedge......I'll let the pic speak for itself.....

Some dishes are good but waiting for your food when others get there food before you ordering the same thing. Nice outdoor seating. Limited menu Haddock dinner, for $24. It should be. French fries so so Cobb Salad good Bang bang shrimp taco was good. Manager on a complaint. Very poor handling of situation. My fault dinner took over 46 minutes when someone else's came out sooner. Needs major training. Local treated like garbage. Service ok pushes drinks.

The Lake House opened in the summer of 2020 and posits itself as a semi-upscale waterfront restaurant and slots casino on Lake Oneida. It is located where the historic music hall and venue DiCastro's once was. I don't gamble so my review is solely for restaurant (note: you have to be 18+ to eat at the restaurant). Being right on the lake is a huge draw and dining on the outdoor patio during the summer is a very nice experience. I recommend making a reservation; the wait can be 45 minutes to an hour on a weekend night. While plenty of diners come wearing dressy "date night" attire, I've always worn casual clothing and never had a problem. The food is good but truthfully nothing special. The drinks are what really shine, though. Great prices ($9-$12) and many options. They've also had live music on the outdoor patio each time I have went. The ambience is overall very nice and the Lake House does a great job keeping the restaurant and the casino portions separate.

Food was good along with the service. The calamari was over cooked (chewy). Both salads were spot on.

Absolutely Beautiful View....Be sure to go on a sunny day. Service is very slow, food is not the best you'll ever eat, however the location makes up for it!!! Cocktails are delicious and very creative, every time I visit the bar there is a new cocktail menu... try them all!!!! Yum!!

Bruschetta as an appetizer was delicious. Not too heavy and easy to share with another person. The jam on it is made in-house!

Service was good. Food was ok but Sauces and salad dressings lacked flavor. Drinks were very light on the pour for the price charged.

We were told that it wasn't going to be a prix fixe menu as we were under 12 when the reservation was booked (we asked). It was. Selection was somewhat limited particularly for the vegetarians but the waitress said that they could swap veggies in for the trout in the risotto. They didn't. It was just risotto. Potato leek soup. So salty that it was inedible. Like sea water salty. Three of us sent it back. NY Strip. Boring and clearly hadn't been seasoned before cooking (ironic). Not quite cold but really, really close. A little tiny ramekin of chimichurri sauce which I guess was supposed it make it interesting or tasty I guess. It was neither. The whipped potatoes were delicious. Desert was a borderline interminable wait. And then they served gelato and sorbet to four of us. Think milkshake. A thin, runny milkshake, approaching soup. The food runners and waitress were so embarrassed they couldn't look at us when they dropped the desert and ran. Who lets ice scream, posing as soup out of the kitchen. It used to be a quaint little place with fantastic food ... And now, an overpriced, industrial'ish place with sub-par food (although the owners are clearly cashing out, leaning on its prior reputation). Unfortunate. $85 a head, $1,500 all in with drinks and tip.

Enter the building through the main glass door and hang right for the restaurant, which behind a plain looking door. The bright dining room has close to 15 tables and seating at the counter. I stopped in at Annette's for breakfast recently. The place was steady with several groups of diners arriving for Sunday breakfast. Annette's seems like the place to be for locals from Constantia and Cleveland. I took a seat at an open table and the waitress arrived with menu. They had a few specials posted on the board and I ordered the Country Omelet Special ($9.99) and a glass of ice water. The food arrived hot 15 minutes later. The portion of food was filling, which was comprised of a folded soft egg sheet filled with shredded hash brown potatoes, sliced ham, onions, and topped with melted cheese (I chose pepper jack) and two thick slices of homemade buttered wheat toast, mixed fruit jam packets on the table. Breakfast was excellent and I barely finished my food. The service was courteous and I wasn't rushed. I would return here again if I happen to be traveling on NY 49 along the north shore of Oneida Lake.

Okay so grab a cup of coffee, this read might take a minute…read more.. First off, I've read some of the comments that have been left by other people, and all I can say is that some of you need to lighten up a little bit. This is not a five-star restaurant. Quite honestly this isn't even a four-star restaurant, it's a freaking diner. Eddie's restaurant started in 1934 as a hot dog stand. My parents used to go here back in the 1960s before I even existed, they used to bring my sister and I here in the 1970s. I'm pretty sure all they had back then was probably a deep fryer and a flat top. So anyway, partially because of the fact I haven't been here in about 40 years, and my mom hadn't been here in a couple years anyway (her and dad still used to frequent the place from time to time).. I picked her up and took her for Mother's Day. Upon entering this place, not a lot has changed. The basic layout of the dining room is the same as it was back in the 1970s, I think the chairs and and the booths might even be the same, I mean yeah reupholstered I'm sure but the golden color on the chairs I believe I remember from back in the 1970s. I'm sure this is actually part of the reason that people still frequent this place as often as they do. It's modern as far as I'm sure the kitchen is concerned however the dining area is almost like a step back into time. So anyway, we were seated and a waitress came up rather quickly. Her name was Anna, and she rocked. I like to bust chops from time to time and I will occasionally try it with wait staff at various restaurants, and although it doesn't always go very well, Anna picked up on this and fed it right back to me beautifully. She of course also did everything that a good waitress should be doing like checking on us a couple times and making sure we had everything. The food itself, I'm not going to lie wasn't that great. Okay I know you're thinking wait a minute this guy gave the place five stars but now he says the food isn't that great. I didn't say the food was bad, but I will go back to my previous comment and remind everybody that this is basically just a diner. I had the chicken and biscuits which was on special. It was good but it wasn't spectacular. Honestly it was a little bland I found myself using salt and pepper a couple of times. I'm 99% sure it was not made to order they probably had a big 10 gallon bucket of it on a burner somewhere in the kitchen, and they just gave me a couple scoops. Regardless of the fact that I didn't think it was spectacular it was just as I had expected it to be. I've had chicken and biscuits at many places and it tasted exactly right. My wife ordered a honey garlic pork dish which in my humble opinion was awesome. Kind of wish I had gotten that instead but, when I saw chicken and biscuits I just ordered it because that's what I do. The overall experience was perfectly fine. Like I said it's what I expected from this particular restaurant . The place was clean, including the bathrooms, everybody was very professional, it was rather busy being Mother's Day and it didn't really take that long for anything to come out to the table. (Yeah I know how long does it take to grab a couple scoops of chicken out of a 10 gallon bucket and put it on a plate but still they had to prepare my wife's meal so... the service was good) If I lived closer I would go back to this place a lot more often. I will also admit that my giving it five stars, some of you may be thinking well this guy has fond memories of Eddie's restaurant so of course he's going to throw it a high score, and yeah you're probably right. But this is my review and I can pretty much do what I want . So anyway, I definitely recommend Eddie's if you're in the Sylvan Beach area, and Anna, if you're reading this, awesome job...

While we were waiting, we checked out the menu and the delicious pies they had on display. We were finally sat. Kristy took care of us tonight. It did take a minute for her to get to us. She was hustling a few tables. Drinks were ordered and we all breezed over the dinner menu. The menu is quite broad. Breakfast, lasagna, seafood, sandwiches... You name it, they got it. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder and shrimp cocktail for dinner. My daughter got the famous fish plate and my son got the tuna melt. Of course I was going to have a bite of their meals too. Clam chowder came out first. So did fresh rolls and homemade croutons for the soup. The rolls were good. I appreciate the amount of butter they give you. I love some bread with my butter. The homemade croutons were so good! They were savory and buttery! You added them babies to the clam chowder, delicious! The clam chowder was thick and hearty! Lots of potatoes and corn. It was on the cold side though. It was good but I'm sure it would have been better hot. The portion of the soup was huge! We all ordered cups and they were all bowl sized. Dinner came out and everyone's plates looked good. My daughter got two chunky pieces of fish on her plate. My son's tuna melt was thick with tuna. My shrimp cocktail looked really fresh. I honestly thought there would be more than just 5 pieces of shrimp. The shrimp wasn't the biggest. The cocktail sauce was heavy with horseradish and it was so good! The tuna melt was ok. My daughter's fish fry was tasty! It was fried perfectly and not too oily. The fresh haddock they use is so good. The fries were fried soft, my favorite. We were too full for dessert but thier huge dessert menu sounded so good. Maybe next time! Food was decent at Eddie's. The price point is pretty high but you do get decent portions, especially if you order fish. You can tell this joint has been a long time staple for Slyvan beach. I'm happy I got to try this local joint out. Kristy did a great job and it was fun to be with my family at this local joint.

The atmosphere is Key West meets northern lakefront - tropical, chill, and ready to party all day. We sat outside at the bar, steps from Oneida Lake, perfect to eat, drink, and people watch. We found the entire staff to be actively engaged in servicing the guests. Beer was ice cold and wow do they have lots of beers to choose from - an overwhelming menu! My friend and I ordered two types of tacos: The chicken tacos came OVERSTUFFED with tender, flavorful shredded chicken which was juicy and delicious along with diced tomatoes and onions; we asked for the Mexican Crema on the side and the modification was adhered to. The beer-battered fish tacos came with gigantic shrimp which did not fit into the taco (in other words, excellent portion size) plus pico and pickles - yes, you read that right, pickles, and yes the tacos were perfect with the pickles tucked inside! We asked for the zip-zap sauce on the side and again, the modification was adhered to. The only thing I could say (if I had to pinpoint a negative) was that the food took over 20 minutes and the dining room/outdoor bar was not terribly busy; however, this did not take away from the experience as we made friends at the bar, conversed with the bartenders, and enjoyed the view of a beautiful summer afternoon on the lake. I'd suggest any potential guests just be prepared for ticket times to be a little longer than one might be used to. I will definitely be back, there's lots more I want to try on this menu and I want to enjoy some live music in the near future.
