The gluten free dining options are plentiful at the Creekside Inn which is why we wanted to visit. Everything was fresh and delightful! It's been a while since I posted a food review. After COVID, eating out has not been easy. Our favorite restaurants have changed and cost has gone up much. Today we went to Creekside Inn in Oneida for our long-overdue date night and it was not disappointing. 5/5. That along says something. I ordered the seafood mix from special menu (still have a hard time remembering the fancy name lol) and Sir Flower ordered their Hanger steak. Both were excellent! My seafood cooked perfectly and seasoned well (I don't buy the argument to season your own food because people have different taste especially when the food is too bland). My mussels and scallops were cooked perfectly with the texture that just taste fresh. I personally enjoy wide noodles. His steak was cooked excellently and it is NOT CHEWY!!!!! That was great ingredients used. I have had so many steaks cost much higher but chewy, and this surprised me. Our server was very nice too. Bill is slightly high but worth for a good meal and vibe. Visited post-golf on a Friday night after receiving a recommendation from the front desk staff at our hotel hours before. Accommodating hostess rewarded our good timing and dumb luck (we ignored guidance to make a reservation) with 2 seats at the bar where we shared good convo with other dining patrons and the bar staff. Food and drinks (beer selection and seasonal cocktails) were outstanding. Notable highlights were the Pork Belly Bites and the Chicken Riggies. We booked a reservation for the Inn. We were warmly greeted and quickly and efficiently registered. We planned on going into Oneida for dinner, however once arrived we saw the pub and restaurant we changed plans and are thankful we did. Great cocktails in the pub and an outstanding meal. The pub and dining room was rustic and warm, love the ambiance. All staff we interacted with were welcoming, helpful and courteous. Our room was spotless and comfortable bed and pillows. So... can lighting strike twice? Yes. Yes, it can. After last night's dinner, we were optimistic and we were not disappointed. After a Primavera Margarita and a Strawberry Basil Moscow Mule - both delicious - we moved on to a familiar bellwether, the French Onion Gratinée. Perfectly constructed and delightfully flavorful, we were off to an auspicious start. Our entrees were splendid! His salmon had a perfectly finished crisp and my lobster & shrimp pappardelle had a delectable sauce with copious seafood. Topping off the flavorful feast was peanut butter pie which was light and lovely. We were seated at the same table as last night (still cozy) and well-attended by Kari who knew who we were and chatted companionably with us. Dennis once again stopped by (despite serving a different section) to check in. Our experience with everyone from the front desk to the dining room to the manager was nothing shy of awesome! We went to this restaurant tonight. We ordered the Lobster Roll and that was excellent. We got the Vegetable Ragu over Spaghetti squash (healthier dish but delicious). Then the Eggplant Burrata Gnocchi exceptional dish. I live in NYC and have been to amazing restaurants but this was incredible. Only 4 stars because service was terrible ( this is not normal at this restaurant). It was worth it for the meal though. read more

OUTSTANDING!!! My family and I attended dinner here: 12/14/2024 [in remebrance of our deceased parents over the last few years]. This was an adults only gathering of brother and sisters / spouses / total 8. We all had different appetizers, which were perfectly plated and fantastic tasting. We all had different dinner selections ranging from seafood to beef & pork. The food was superb and plated beautifully. There was NO rush and the service was EXCELLENT. Our surroundings were quiet for how busy they were, which was so nice becuase we could all hear each other and enjoy the evening. We went here with another couple and everything was amazing. The greeting at the door, our server Kristen I believe her name was was amazing as well. I had the 28oz Cowboy ribeye special and it was prepared to perfection with a light dab of garlic butter and mushrooms. His wife had got the smoked prime rib and mine had gotten the scallop special with a hot tomato oil over pappardelle pasta that made you sweat but the flavor was amazing. Very comfortable atmosphere. We sat in the pub at a high top and the lighting was dim and comforting. We had an overall great experience and highly recommend anyone in the area looking for a great time to make a reservation early because they fill up quickly! Thank you for a great experience! Booked a stay here, never been before but close to where I needed to be. Room is awesome, comfortable with all the amenities. Figured I'd eat near by until I learned they were a restaurant and bar too. Nice! The food was outstanding, great wine list, delicious appetizer and the main course was excellent and the staff was the friendliest I've met yet. Sadly I had no room for dessert. Ate solo on pub side (they offer a dining room too). Hard to notice this place but it came highly recommended. Only issue is how long it took to get food. Almost an hour after ordering, steak arrived. I think it was a NY Strip and was excellent! Sides good and server/bartender pleasant. Worth the stout price tag. My brother said this is his favorite restaurant in all of CNY. Finally got a chance to try it out last night. We called around 4pm to make a reservation. Spoke to Tony on the phone who was extremely professional and kind. We got a reservation at 7pm outside. (I was kind of apprehensive about eating outside because the temp was going to drop to 45 degrees- but Tony assured us that they have outside patio heaters. So we decided to dress warm and go for it! I'm so happy we did decide to dine outside on the patio- the ambiance was everything. The heater was definitely warm enough to keep us comfortable with just a light sweater on. There are string lights on the patio which gives it a very romantic and intimate feel. Service- 5/5- Sarah was an outstanding server. She was fast, super friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu which I appreciated. Gave us very good recommendations on drinks and food. Food- 4.5/5 Only because i didn't care for the greens (we got the greens as an appetizer) The ingredients were FRESH but I prefer my greens to be more cheesy and spicier. The rest of our food was phenomenal. The Shrimp/chicken riggies were delicious and the Chilean sea bass with capers, asparagus and potatoes were phenomenal. Highly recommend both. The desserts were also bomb and all made in-house. THE CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER PIE WAS EVERYTHING!!! I couldn't even finish it because between the drinks and food I was full. Drinks- 5/5- they have seasonal cocktails which I appreciate. I got the expresso martini (bomb) and my favorite was the apple cider cocktail. We will be back, definitely a great place for dinner. This place is a cute place but after staying here twice this is what my husband and I have to add: Dining and food was a C -, checking in after 5 or so it's a circus due to the building being locked, and there's a shared refrigerator space and other guests will just help themselves to your very well payed for goods. I wanted so badly to give this place 5 stars and the fact that I intend to return again when it is nicer to enjoy the outdoor space should say something. The inside space was cozy and had a romantic feel. Our food was quite tasty but I really felt a bit rushed overall. We ordered the Lobster Risotto and Scallops as our entree and the flavors were wonderful. I just want to enjoy my time when I go to dinner and with the slightly higher priced dishes feel that the speed at which we went from seated to paying the bill could have been slowed down slightly. Atmosphere, authenticity, service and presentation are important. We have enjoyed Michelin Restaurants so we expect a lot. This place reminded me of a diner.The decor was as if someone hired a designer and he shopped at Hobby Lobby and Big lots. Cheap electric fireplaces, inexpensive art with no clear theme. it was like the decorations at a chain restaurant-stick stuff on the walls without any regard to meaning.There were posters of periodic tables, boats, little bunnies left over from Easter-confusing. No consistent theme of what they are trying to be. Nothing authentic ,interesting or original in regard to design elements.Nothing that contributed to a sense of permanence genuineness or a history of the place. The waitresses wore jeans and used the popular colloquialisms- "have a good one,""awesome"etc. I prefer-have a good evening, very good choice, may I take your order. We asked specific questions about items on the menu and they seemed confused and obtuse. We ordered cocktails off the menu that we couldn't finish. Not well balanced and not well crafted.I had the mussels with chorizo, and while the sauce had decent flavor it overpowered and buried the mussels. Why even have the mussels in the dish if you can't see anything but the shells and you can't differentiate them from the sausages? My beet salad was served on a standard plate with a small bowl of dressing placed in the middle. I don't want the exterior of a dish touching my food. It looked like it was dumped on the plate with zero knife work or any real element of presentation. My wife had the fish trio and that was cooked properly and had very nice flavor. If you're looking for fine dinning, authenticity , charm and traditional conservative ambiance this is not your place. This is an average restaurant with good service and a friendly staff. I ordered food while at work and went, in a snowstorm, to pick it up. The place is cozy and warm, the people super friendly, and I mean genuinely friendly. I ordered the mussels with chorizo sausage and bang shrimp. It was amazing!! I have eaten mussels all over the world and these were quite possibly some of the best I have ever had. The Creekside Inn is a beautifully decorated inn with a very nice upscale restaurant and separate pub. My husband and I stayed there on our trip through upstate New York. The staff was very nice and took us on a guided tour of the inn. There was a breakfast nook upstairs near the rooms where we could help ourselves to a continental breakfast. I would have given 5 stars except for two things. We arrived at 4:50 pm. A sign outside the inn said "Closed" and gave a number to call. The call went to voicemail and the box was full. The website information said check in 4 pm. We found an open door and the chef was there and let us in. The desk attendant arrived at 5 pm and finished the check in. We stayed in room 5 and could hear some talking from the pub in the evening, but it wasn't that loud. The pub closed at 11 pm and it was very quiet after that. I would definitely recommend Creekside Inn just be informed of check in time. read more

Have been to this restaurant twice the food is always amazing. Outside in the summer is very nice, with plenty of outside seating. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because last time we went the service was horrible but the first time we went it was amazing. 7 of us ladies went for a birthday dinner this past Saturday night and dinner was phenomenal!!! Serving time was a bit on the slow side but that was actually appreciated since it gave us time to visit with each other. We enjoyed a couple drinks, some appetizers and delicious soup before our entree was served. It was about a 2 hour evening but totally welcomed! Service was excellent! Some would say a bit pricey but to me it was well worth the price for a special evening out!! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is celebrating any occasion!! Creekside is a beautiful location just off I-90 and about a mile from Turning Stone. The menu is all encompassing and the quality of the food is top notch. There's is plenty of parking for customers even on the busiest nights. The service was a little lacking taking quite some time to refill water and such, but very knowledgeable about each item and the specials. Will definitely return. read more
