Had to run errands in Rome so decided on Delta Lake Inn. Been awhile since we have been there. Plan was sandwiches but after seeing their special's went with dinner items. Brittany provided very good service. Very friendly and attentive. Stuffed jalapenos with sausage were ok. Peppers were not very hot. Wouldn't order again. 2 Peppers and 2 sausage only. Wasn't really put together well. Soup, shrimp and crab bisque, amazing, as previously enjoyed. Not salty at all. Salmon with mustard sauce special was excellent. Brussels and rice were very good, as well. Bacon wrapped pork medallions bourbon cream sauce was just ok. Vegetables and mashed potatoes were good. Not a mash potatoes person but theirs weren't bad. Their French Fries were great. Restaurant is nice inside with indoor and in season, outdoor seating. They have lots of areas for groups including an upstairs section. Was craving french onion soup so we headed to the Inn for a light quick lunch. The Delta Lake Inn filled the bill. The soup hit the spot and I loved the cheese gooey top. We went to the last seating for Easter Brunch. Not a good idea. The salad and desert bars had just messy scrapings left. The lamb was overcooked and dry. The coffee ran out. The waitresses were still nice but clearly exhausted. It cost too much, frankly - for what we ate and the experience. At least it was nice to have the crowd lessen and the room become quiet over the hour. Last year we went midmorning and there were full food stations but it was hard to hear each other. We do enjoy the scenery there at the dam and nearby at Delta Lake. It's nice to see and hear the water in Spring. read more

God awful pizza and wings ! Pizza had a ver yeasty smell to it indicating the dough was very old. The smell was so overwhelming you couldn't taste the toppings. Chicken wings were absolutely disgusting could tell right of the bat they were old . Asked for extra crispy wings thank god or else wouldn't have been able to eat more that one! I guess that's what we get for ordering their special .... Old pizza dough and wings that had already been cooked a day or two ago for some other costumer that rejected them. Food was what you would get at a prepared chain continental breakfast.......soggy, frozen, and bland. Staff gave poor service and lacked communication skills, no questions were ever answered during the visit. Overall a waste of time, even if your just wanting brunch!!! We went to Delta Lake Inn Rome NY the first Saturday of May 2025 for Dinner. My husband said it was one of the best steaks he ha ever eaten. I had a delicious sea food bisque and Lemon Chicken dish. Out to camp this past week at Delta Lake State Park. We found a gem of a place 6 min from the park. We decided to check it out for apps on a Sat afternoon. Our choices were..... Italian Long Hots - stuffed with mozzarella and sausage. Topped with marinara and fresh grated Parmesan. The Lakeside Platter- sampler of breaded shrimp, encrusted mozzarella, and deviled Cajun eggs. A children's plate of fries, chicken and mozzarella. Everything we had was delicious and fresh. Homemade for sure. It was so good, we decided to try their Sunday brunch. Fast forward to day 2........... Brunch consisted of everything from scrambled eggs, Benedict's, all the breakfast meats, salad bar, carving station with prime rib and ham, a chicken dish, fish dish, and much much more. Dessert table(s) were crazy good!!!! Unlimited mimosas! If you are ever in the Rome area, or at Delta Lake, this place is worth a visit. Check em out!! read more

Exceptional service in such a short notice. They were able to grant us a reservation within 2 hours. The food is well priced and absolutely delicious. The back room is more family or big party oriented. It's a nice cozy room with windows so you're not closed in or closed out from the inside. The inside has smaller seats and a bar. They play modern music and have a good selection of spirits and liquor. It was recommended to us by someone who comes here often. I will definitely return next time I'm here. read more

Food is beyond expectations. Haven't been in a year or two. It's Friday afternoon 1pm. We enjoyed our meals here. The service was excellent, and the service was friendly. The atmosphere was great. As I recall, we were passing through the town and staying one night, and this restaurant was recommended to us by a few people we asked. We ordered their daily specials, which were haddock fish dinners with a salad, and their fries were uniquely cut and awesome! Our server was charming. The place isn't fancy, but it has a hometown feel. You'll receive excellent service and a good meal at this restaurant. It likely swings on the weekends and in the summer on the lake. read more

Beautiful outdoor dinner with a lake view Came out with some friends on a relatively busy Friday night and had a great meal with great service to match. We came with a frisky large group of 10 and they split us between adjacent tables so we could be close together. Our server was friendly Sky and helpful. They have a decent selection of draft beers and a full bar. I had their Philly cheesesteak and it was fantastic. It comes with their twister fries which were also very good. My wife had their seafood especially for the night which was shrimp, scallops, and mussels over fried eggplant. She LOVED it!! My couple of tastes easily made me see why. Went there with a friend, for New Year Buffet. Never again. Food was cold and terribel. Haddock was dry and tough. Nothing on the buffet was good. Paid almost $60 senior prive with tax and tip. Only thing good was the desserts. read more

Dinner and service were simply amazing! Our server was very attentive, but not overly so. She made sure our drinks were refilled, and our food courses were timed perfectly. We shared a calamari appetizer. It was served with both marinara and cocktail sauces. The batter was light, the rings were tender, and the sauces were yummy. The loaf of garlic bread that comes to the table with the soup course is delicious. We had the crab and shrimp bisque. It's the best soup we've ever had. I had the steak medallions portobello with whipped potatoes and roasted vegetable medley. The entire plate was visually and tastefully stunning. The only reason not a 5 is we got some attitude from the hostess or lady who sat us, and the seats that are not high tops on the deck can't see over the railing. But the food was delicious and the drinks were yummy and made well. Also our waitress was friendly and attentive. The view from the deck is very nice. I was expecting a lot more based on the website. The food was just not what I'd hoped for. It was edible, serviceable no doubt. But not as good as I could've made at home. I picked this spot, though, more for the ambiance. I expected something warm and accommodating and, unfortunately, ended up at a place in desperate need of a remodel. The service was average, at best -- I can't imagine a circumstance which would make me likely to return. read more

The presentation of the food was on point. The vegetables were soft, but not saggy, and juicy. The mash potatoes were drenched in butter and some of the skin was left on the , great idea. Definitely try their steaks here! Their salads are fresh and delicious, especially their apple walnut salad with balsamic vinaigrette (house made from what the staff said). I did not know that they took reservations due to the parking lot being empty. We were greeted poorly and honestly I cannot remember the last time that another person made me feel like I was beneath them (management) maybe Marine Boot Camp, but that is supposed to happen in that environment. We tried to sit and enjoy our Friday night together and we ended up leaving before ordering anything. The place is cold and out of date and definitely not worthy of a reservation. Based on my fellow Yelpers' reviews we gave Delta Lake Inn a try. Although they were busy, with a full dining room and a wedding going on, we waited for nothing. Our server was literally running from table to table without breaking a sweat- she was amazing! Water was refilled as were iced teas and cokes, sangria was fruity and delicious. We enjoyed the combo app platter; the shrimp and fried mozz were great. The Ceasar salads were fantastic as was the chicken piccata. Prime rib (served to the table next to ours) looked done to perfection. Our only problem was we did not save room for dessert! Guess we will have to go back! read more

So glad the Lake Delta Inn was back in almost full business. Safety precautions were observed at all times, distancing inside and out for customers, not having the usual crowd at this popular restaurant was actually appreciated, ( who likes a crowded restaurant) but I'm sure it will be soon :-) Eric was our ambassador fo the evening, extremely pleasant and efficient. His suggestion to have the Short rib gnocchi was spot on, it was especially enjoyable to have my leftovers today, the portion was that big. We also had a petite filet that was cooked to perfection. Sides were excellent, the best roasted vegetables ever! It started sprinkling, Eric had us reseated inside immediately, I bring this up because if you have never been there it's beautifully decorated and is actually a museum of sorts, a lot of history to view. I did miss the lime stack that I thought about all day, but we weren't disappointed at all by three berry cake, and the lemon stack, both delicious! Ordered 2 entrees and 3 apps. Was ordered through Doordash because COVID. Without any contact from the restaurant one app and one entree was refunded. The app I could live without but the entree was someone's meal. There should have been a heads up from the establishment that an item was out of stock so a reorder could have been done or something so everyone could eat together. The entree that was received was Medallions and Portobello. While the steak was good it was button mushrooms not portobello. read more
