Super summer vibe, plenty of outdoor seating overlooking the beach and lake. Shareable platter is abundant and deliciously fried. Wings are the greatest and everything was served as we liked, and without delay. Tiki bar outside too. A very relaxing atmosphere! And has their own parking lot.

Inside very loud if the band is playing outside. Service was very good. This is a place to go and drink. The food is less than desirable. Nachos were store bought chips with some stuff piled on, no flavor. The fish sticks were bland and the riggies were awful. This place is also very expensive.

My boyfriend spoke about this place for months. He was looking forward to taking me here, and as a foodie I was looking forward to trying it. For an appetizer we got the pan seared scallops. It was served with bacon jam and a brown sugar sauce. It was absolutely amazing and tasty! That bacon jam was delicious and I want it on everything. For my entree I ordered the sausage and clams over penne. It was tossed with spinach, roasted red peppers, Parmesan and sundried tomatoes. There wasn't much sundried tomatoes, but overall the dish was tasty. My boyfriend ordered the 3 cheese pasta with lobster. There was a very generous amount of lobster in his dish! I tried a bite and it was yummy. He thinks the three cheeses were cheddar, Gruyere, and Parmesan. While the food was delish, service needed improvement. When I asked our waitress questions about the menu, she told me she didn't know. Then towards the end of our meal, she put someone else's dirty dishes on our table! That put such a sour taste in my mouth after our delicious meal. I would come back again as the food was yummy, but I would want a different waitress.

Your life is not complete until you visit Harpoon Eddie's. You need to come in the evening for drinks and live music. You should enjoy the company of your fellow island-goers and bask in the sunset with your blueberry mojito in hand. Definitely would recommend the chocolate lava cookie, see you there

Amazing view, right on the lake. Great beer selection and the best Haddock you can find anywhere in CNY!

Okay so grab a cup of coffee, this read might take a minute…read more.. First off, I've read some of the comments that have been left by other people, and all I can say is that some of you need to lighten up a little bit. This is not a five-star restaurant. Quite honestly this isn't even a four-star restaurant, it's a freaking diner. Eddie's restaurant started in 1934 as a hot dog stand. My parents used to go here back in the 1960s before I even existed, they used to bring my sister and I here in the 1970s. I'm pretty sure all they had back then was probably a deep fryer and a flat top. So anyway, partially because of the fact I haven't been here in about 40 years, and my mom hadn't been here in a couple years anyway (her and dad still used to frequent the place from time to time).. I picked her up and took her for Mother's Day. Upon entering this place, not a lot has changed. The basic layout of the dining room is the same as it was back in the 1970s, I think the chairs and and the booths might even be the same, I mean yeah reupholstered I'm sure but the golden color on the chairs I believe I remember from back in the 1970s. I'm sure this is actually part of the reason that people still frequent this place as often as they do. It's modern as far as I'm sure the kitchen is concerned however the dining area is almost like a step back into time. So anyway, we were seated and a waitress came up rather quickly. Her name was Anna, and she rocked. I like to bust chops from time to time and I will occasionally try it with wait staff at various restaurants, and although it doesn't always go very well, Anna picked up on this and fed it right back to me beautifully. She of course also did everything that a good waitress should be doing like checking on us a couple times and making sure we had everything. The food itself, I'm not going to lie wasn't that great. Okay I know you're thinking wait a minute this guy gave the place five stars but now he says the food isn't that great. I didn't say the food was bad, but I will go back to my previous comment and remind everybody that this is basically just a diner. I had the chicken and biscuits which was on special. It was good but it wasn't spectacular. Honestly it was a little bland I found myself using salt and pepper a couple of times. I'm 99% sure it was not made to order they probably had a big 10 gallon bucket of it on a burner somewhere in the kitchen, and they just gave me a couple scoops. Regardless of the fact that I didn't think it was spectacular it was just as I had expected it to be. I've had chicken and biscuits at many places and it tasted exactly right. My wife ordered a honey garlic pork dish which in my humble opinion was awesome. Kind of wish I had gotten that instead but, when I saw chicken and biscuits I just ordered it because that's what I do. The overall experience was perfectly fine. Like I said it's what I expected from this particular restaurant . The place was clean, including the bathrooms, everybody was very professional, it was rather busy being Mother's Day and it didn't really take that long for anything to come out to the table. (Yeah I know how long does it take to grab a couple scoops of chicken out of a 10 gallon bucket and put it on a plate but still they had to prepare my wife's meal so... the service was good) If I lived closer I would go back to this place a lot more often. I will also admit that my giving it five stars, some of you may be thinking well this guy has fond memories of Eddie's restaurant so of course he's going to throw it a high score, and yeah you're probably right. But this is my review and I can pretty much do what I want . So anyway, I definitely recommend Eddie's if you're in the Sylvan Beach area, and Anna, if you're reading this, awesome job...

There's not a lot of dinner options in Slyvan beach so we headed to Eddie's restaurant for dinner…read more The place a packed! We did wait for about 10 minutes for a table. While we were waiting, we checked out the menu and the delicious pies they had on display. We were finally sat. Kristy took care of us tonight. It did take a minute for her to get to us. She was hustling a few tables. Drinks were ordered and we all breezed over the dinner menu. The menu is quite broad. Breakfast, lasagna, seafood, sandwiches... You name it, they got it. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder and shrimp cocktail for dinner. My daughter got the famous fish plate and my son got the tuna melt. Of course I was going to have a bite of their meals too. Clam chowder came out first. So did fresh rolls and homemade croutons for the soup. The rolls were good. I appreciate the amount of butter they give you. I love some bread with my butter. The homemade croutons were so good! They were savory and buttery! You added them babies to the clam chowder, delicious! The clam chowder was thick and hearty! Lots of potatoes and corn. It was on the cold side though. It was good but I'm sure it would have been better hot. The portion of the soup was huge! We all ordered cups and they were all bowl sized. Dinner came out and everyone's plates looked good. My daughter got two chunky pieces of fish on her plate. My son's tuna melt was thick with tuna. My shrimp cocktail looked really fresh. I honestly thought there would be more than just 5 pieces of shrimp. The shrimp wasn't the biggest. The cocktail sauce was heavy with horseradish and it was so good! The tuna melt was ok. My daughter's fish fry was tasty! It was fried perfectly and not too oily. The fresh haddock they use is so good. The fries were fried soft, my favorite. We were too full for dessert but thier huge dessert menu sounded so good. Maybe next time! Food was decent at Eddie's. The price point is pretty high but you do get decent portions, especially if you order fish. You can tell this joint has been a long time staple for Slyvan beach. I'm happy I got to try this local joint out. Kristy did a great job and it was fun to be with my family at this local joint.

Breakfast itself was very basic diner fare -- eggs, toast, and the usual staples. Nothing fancy, but it was inexpensive and filled the plate. The atmosphere gave me strong old truck-stop diner vibes. Some people may appreciate that nostalgic roadside feel, but for me the restaurant felt a bit dirty and very worn down, like it hasn't had much maintenance or updating in quite a long time. One of the people dining with me ordered a lunch special of beef and mashed potatoes, and unfortunately it was extremely greasy and didn't seem freshly made. It was bad enough that they couldn't finish it. Another downside for me was that the diner is cash-only. We rarely carry cash, so we had to use the ATM, which added extra cost to the visit. Overall, Flo's is definitely a very old-school diner experience -- cheap food, tiny coffee prices, and a truck-stop style atmosphere. I'm sure that works perfectly for some people looking for a quick, inexpensive meal, but it just wasn't the right fit for me.

I'm a believer that it should be ready at a table or given to you by your server. The small town feeling can be very intimidating for someone ethnic like myself. They are also conveniently by our Vrbo so we headed there tonight for an easy dinner. Walking up, we saw quite a few pies at the window. They also had pinwheels as well. So many options to pick from. Everything looked OK. The pizzas looked like they were made a while ago. You can tell when a pizza is hot, the grease is glistening still. Non of these pizzas were doing that. My husband and I snagged 2 slices of cheese. Both of the slices were two different sizes, very big difference between the two. I gave my husband the bigger slice. I honestly thought they would have heated up the pizza a little more. They were still cold. The cheese was not even melted or warm. You shouldn't have bothered heating them up cause it didn't do anything for them. The pizza sauce had good flavor to it. There wasn't a lot of it. The cheese itself was there but missing on some parts of the slice. The crust was hard and very chewy since it wasn't warm. I was really hoping for a melty, cheesey, hot slice of pizza. Unfortunately, I didn't get that. I had high hopes for this joint since they always seem so busy. Maybe it was at the hour we came but the pizza just didn't hit.
