    Pizza King

Pizza King looks like they sell a ton of slices to locals and tourists. They have a window that is convenient to grab a slice or two, eat and then go to the amusement park across the street. They are also conveniently by our Vrbo so we headed there tonight for an easy dinner. Walking up, we saw quite a few pies at the window. They also had pinwheels as well. So many options to pick from. Everything looked OK. The pizzas looked like they were made a while ago. You can tell when a pizza is hot, the grease is glistening still. Non of these pizzas were doing that. My husband and I snagged 2 slices of cheese. Both of the slices were two different sizes, very big difference between the two. I gave my husband the bigger slice. I honestly thought they would have heated up the pizza a little more. They were still cold. The cheese was not even melted or warm. You shouldn't have bothered heating them up cause it didn't do anything for them. The pizza sauce had good flavor to it. There wasn't a lot of it. The cheese itself was there but missing on some parts of the slice. The crust was hard and very chewy since it wasn't warm. I was really hoping for a melty, cheesey, hot slice of pizza. Unfortunately, I didn't get that. I had high hopes for this joint since they always seem so busy. Maybe it was at the hour we came but the pizza just didn't hit. I'm happy we got to try it out anyways. Still looking for that slice is pie is New York that's going to blow my socks off.

We are giving this a 5 and honestly if they had table service in the bar, this would have been a 5 all day long-so a true 4.8! To be fair, after I ordered at the window, they did bring our food to our table inside the bar. You do have to go to the bar to grab your drinks. Fun selection of beers, mozzarella sticks were AMAZING. Obviously homemade-not frozen. Wings were crispy and sauce was excellent. So Good!!!! Pizza was good as well. Owner was there working and was friendly. He changed a keg, took out the trash and was pulling in tables at closing time. Definitely not a slacker.

Very good pizza with a great sauce and awesome crust. They have an outside window and picnic tables to eat at. Service is very good.

The pizza is awful couldn't eat more than a few bites. I would avoid this place. I have nothing more to say but needed more words.

They have a rotating menu that they list on their website (www.saltcitybread.com). By the time I got there mid-afternoon, they were sold out of their seeded (sesame, pumpkin, and sunflower seeds) sourdough. Plain sourdough loaves are $10 and the sourdough with inclusions are market price and range from $12-14 it seems. I got their chocolate chip cookie (with flaky salt from Syracuse Salt company) for $3.25, and it was delicious!! Thick cookie with crisp edges and a soft, fluffy center. Huge chocolate chips too! The flaky salt brings a nice balance as well. Will definitely be back!

This little bakery is very cute and offers a selection of different breads as well as sweets. The service is excellent and welcoming. These people know how to do bread WELL. I have tried their italian bread, focaccia, and their braided sesame bread-- which are all phenomenal! They have some sandwiches on their menu as well as some coffee available. On this occasion we ordered: - Braided sesame bread: this is my absolute favorite bread here. The presentation is beautiful, and the bread reminds me of a more savory challah with some salted olive oil hints that remind me of focaccia. The softness of the bread and the density make it so satisfying. It is perfect with both sweet and savory pairings. Super addictive--a loaf usually does not last longer than a day in our household. - Turkey sandwiches: we got a whole sandwich split into two halves. Size is pretty generous and one half is definitely enough for one person. This sandwich, although simple, stands out for its high quality ingredients. It came with generous sliced turkey that was not too salty, delicious gouda cheese, high quality mayo, fresh tomatoes and lettuce. The white bread is made in-house and feels super fresh and fluffy. They were super nice and gave us two bags of chips to compliment our dinner even though we technically ordered only one sandwich. We got it split into two separate containers and my fiancé and I each got our own pickle! Perfect option to get to-go. - Peanut butter cookie: I initially wanted to try the chocolate chip but they sadly ran out. However this was actually an amazing cookie. The thickness was perfect, not too thick and not too thin. It had nice bits of peanut butter and the cookie itself was super buttery, soft but with a nice caramelized crust, and not too sweet. There was a surprise Reeses PB cup in there which was very pleasant. Very good cookie! Cannot wait to come back and try their chocolate chip one. Overall, this bakery is a 10/10 and a very great asset to the area. Even though their selection is limited, I think they really focus on doing the few things they do VERY well. I love how local and homey this business feels. Their baked goods are all amazing and I will continue supporting them whenever I am in Manlius. Highly recommend Salt City Bread! You will not regret it.

My partner took a tumble down the side steps and the tray withe sandwich, chips and pickle fed the asphalt. An employee was right behind him and she went in to request a replacement. He cleared the spill and I pitched in a hand. I am not a fan of dining outside due to the flying creatures. Yes, we were visited by a bumble bee. The weather was great as I was able to remove a layer. Presented and tasted delightful. I could only consume half the sandwich. The salad was waxed. The rice balls were filling and we each had one (carb load) in a serving order of five.

Italian Wedding soup (I think?) was also good, very flavorful. My ONLY comment is that sandwich needed some sauce or something... it was kind of dry. It just felt like it was missing something. If I could suggest like a honey glaze or something...? The balsamic just, I dunno... didn't work for me with the chicken. It was still good, just missing something. Atmosphere: It's divey inside, with "Success Kid" on the wall and other decor. It's cool and it's off the beaten path too, right in between, I think, a big apartment complex. I probably would have missed it if it weren't for Google Maps haha! Price: Not bad at all; sandwich, tea and soup ran me about $30. Decent price and everything on the menu seemed about the same. Service: No complaints on the service, except that I didn't have napkins at first, but then the server brought some out. It was pretty busy for being a Wednesday night. Overall: It's a solid place, great for a quick sandwich that is unique! But I wasn't floored... again, some sort of something in the sandwich but I can't really put my finger on it. I would come back again to try more of the sandwich types if I'm ever in the area.
