I went for my birthday with friends cause I love sushi and I used to go there when I was a kid so it gave me amazing nostalgia. The crab legs as they were a little skinny they were delicious the sushi was average sushi but I'm used to average so it was suuuper yummy. My bf hates anything that's not a chicken tender or piece of pizza but he grabbed the fried fish thinking it was chicken and actually ate it fine untill I told him lol. He seemed to enjoy it before I let him know. My waitress was kind, slight language barrier but as expected hence I've gone there for years. She didn't force me to tip and we were all broke so we tried to make as much of a tip as possible. We left her a pokemon card on the tip tray as well lol. It was quite empty I don't think anyone else was eating there but us so we got free rain on everything. Desserts good as always but now they're missing the soft serve stating and replaced it with some ice cream cups in a freezer and the toppings sit on top. Ling-Ling has been steadily going down hill for a few months now. Tonight was the worst and regretfully my last meal there. The soups were warm at best Chicken wings looked like they may have been left over from lunch. I decided the bbq would provide a hot meal after all they cook it in front of you. Alas there was very little to choose from. Now I'm not exaggerating there was 1 piece of Beef no chicken shrimp or pork. I have been there when there was only 1 person doing everything. This buffet was by far the worst my husband and I have ever experienced. We are aware of the COVID-19 dilemma, however, all the food was cold, no sushi, no soup, less than half a buffet. I have no complaints! My order through grub hub came early. This was my first time ordering from here. I got general tsao's chicken combination. It came with an egg roll and I substituted the fried rice for lo mein for $1 extra. Everything was delicious. The egg roll was a very large size which was awesome and it tasted amazing. My experience at this place is awful. After taking a bite of my fried dumpling mid-meal, my husband who is sitting beside me said he smelled something rotten. Wow, this place was a surprise. A Chinese buffet in the middle of upstate NY... and it wasn't bad. In fact, it was pretty good. It had the standard fare of noodles, fried fish, chicken as many ways as you can think, BBQ meat, stir fried veggies, a salad bar, dessert bar, sushi (rolls), and a Mongolian BBQ. The food puts it at around a 3.25 star venue. What really made the extra star was the $11 price tag which included fountain drinks, tax and tip. The worst buffet I have ever been to! My parents drove me up to Syracuse on a Saturday night and we didn't know what to eat so I suggested a buffet. I looked it up on my phone and saw the number of stars for each buffet. New Ling Ling had the most stars out of the other buffets so I'm like, "Le's go there!" I was so excited to go there! It wasn't crowded so we got seated immediately! As I walked around the buffet, I was disappointed. There was barely any food and they did not refill any of the food despite the fact that it was empty after several scoops. I was excited for the sushi because that's my favorite thing to get at buffets but the sushi was truly a disappointment. It was so far from fresh- the avocado was almost entirely black. The sushi came in small pieces and you could literally sense it wasn't fresh. In addition, there was no one there making the sushi. The California roll ran out for a long time and no one cared about it- the employees didn't even take a glance at it. It's a chinese buffet, don't go expecting this to be Ichiban. The food is decent if you can get there when they are putting it out fresh. The real draw here is the mongolian bar. You get to pick from a cold bar of veggies, meats, and noodles then mix and match sauces, and they cook your personal combo fresh for you. We also have good service, and they are very understanding when we bring our 11 month old son (if you don't have kids, they are a serious mess when learning how to eat). I went here during a tour to Niagara Fall; it's about a ~2.5 hour drive from this buffet. The food quality was ok and I had to rush through my meal due to my tour guide giving us only 45 minutes to eat. Other than that, it was enjoyable. They had mostly Chinese dishes and it's pretty standard from what you get from other Chinese buffets. They had ice cream scoops which is pretty rare for a buffet. I don't know why this place has such terrible reviews. We went and the food was great. Everything was fresh and was being maintained when it ran out. I won't say it's the best I've had but it is definitely one of the best for the area. I'm a seafood girl and there was plenty of shrimp dishes hot and cold plus crab legs which were great.
