It has a really great selection of food for a buffet and the seating area is very large. They had a handicap accessible table for my friend which was a huge plus, it's hard for her to get around. Everything that I sampled was fresh and hot, nothing seemed to be sitting out for too long and trays were constantly being refilled. Service was very nice. My favorite dish were these little sautéed button mushrooms- the fresh melon and berries were nice for a dessert too. There was a Hibatchi area in back corner but I didn't try it. There were many types of breaded, fried, sauced chicken...all a bit dried out. The coconut shrimp was a little dried out. The green beans were tasty but limp. The rice noodles were a bit plain. I did not try the fish nor roast beef. BF said the pork was dry but good. But the SHELLFISH was really exceptional. We were heading to the airport to pick up some people and had time for lunch, and saw the flaming grill. The place is huge inside and almost empty, but it was 2:30 so almost ready for the dinner. The food was your typical Asian buffet, but very little looked fresh. The sushi was really not fresh looking at all so only tried two pieces. The cheese imitation crab was tasty. Lots of fried things that we didn't try. When the dinner hour came they asked if we wanted to upgrade and eat some of the added items, but we were filled and didn't have room. It was not tasty at all. Icould not even finish it. My wife had a mixture of many different things from chicken to pork and she really did not have any complaints on what she had. He ran to the bathroom crying and when I asked for an apology they started screaming and swearing at us in front of the entire restaurant. Very friendly and will explain items to you. The food is just like any of the buffets in town. It is mass produced and little flavor. My favorite part is the hibachi. I have never been to any other Chinese buffet in Syracuse so I have nothing to compare it to other than Chinese buffets in different states. When I compare this one to the ones I have been to in California, this one is definitely a winner in terms of ambience and cleanliness. PROS There is plenty of parking. The spoons and shared utensils aren't covered in grime and grease like other buffets I have been to. The air quality isn't stuffy and steamy. The restaurant itself is humungous and there is plenty of room for large parties. This is a great place to take people for a special occasion because it's affordable, spacious, and allows for any picky-eater to be content. They have a lot of food options that include hibachi, sushi, a raw bar area/cold seafood bar, Chinese food, American food (like French fries), soups (I tried the hot and sour soup and the crab soup), fruit, cake, ice cream (popsicle bars, ice cream sandwich), fruit (oranges, honeydew), and much more. When it comes to buffets, they are making food with the goal of giving you options. So of course, it isn't surprising that not EVERY single dish is a winner. Some of the dishes were good while others were "meh, I won't get seconds of that." They have a separate room called "party room" that is for larger groups. You pay at the end of the meal and they allow split checks. Our waiter was really friendly and accommodating about that. You also get a free fortune cookie at the end. It's $12.99 all day on Sunday but the bill came out to be around $31-$32 for 2 people. I am not sure if it's because they had included tip in it or not. The green beans, sushi and shrimp dishes were my favorites from this experience. CONS Orange sherbet was really artificial and terrible tasting. I recommend the strawberry instead (or vanilla, chocolate, but I didn't try these 2). I have only stopped eating ice cream once in my life. This was the second account. They were out of utensils at the buffet area and later on when I asked for some they gave me plastic ones. The crab soup had SO much pepper in it. I LOVE pepper and think it's almost impossible to over-pepper a dish but this one was definitely over peppered. I heard the hibachi and fried rice were very salty. The hot and sour soup also tasted different from what I am used to tasting. I cannot pinpoint it. They don't have crab legs but at this price point, I am not surprised. My friend and I went there for lunch 3 days ago. It was 12:30 pm and there were only a few people there (that should've been a clue). Although this place was recommended to us, I would NOT recommend it at all. First and foremost, the people were very rude!!! Starting with the ladies in the front, and the hostess who seated us. My friend asked for more ice in her water and the waitress acted either confused or put off that she requested ice. The waitress never filled my water at all. The food tasted "off". We should've just looked at the buffet and left. But we stayed and that was a mistake that I'm still paying for. We got food poisoning!!! My friend felt sick and barfed soon after we left there.
