Absolutely AWFUL! asked about what kinds of fish/seafood was in the sushi rolls and when I asked the waitress went and asked the person making them and never came back to give me an answer. So when I saw her and confronted her to get an answer about my question I got "we don't know"... how do you not know what you are making your own sushi rolls out of? I've got to give credit where it's due, this is the last standing buffet in quite a large radius, and it has a huge variety of pretty decent food. Now this restaurant definitely tilts more towards quantity than quality, but it's better than I would expect. The majority of the sushi has avocado and I'm highly allergic and uncertain of any cross contamination so I can't comment on that, but at the very least there's always a good variety for those daring enough to try. The food itself is pretty good, I'd go there more often if my fiancé was willing; they had a little health department situation and he now refuses to go. Anyway, I'm still down, and would return! The prices are cheap, there's a ton of variety. I wish they didn't have Pepsi products but most restaurants in Auburn do. One day I'll try the late night special where after like 9pm you fill a to-go container and it's a pretty low price per pound. They do have take out, I'm just not entirely sure how it works since I've never tried it. Place is never open. When they are there floors are disgusting. Dishes are always cloudy. My friend got a glass with lip prints already on it when they served it to him. Like the server took a sip or 2 before giving it to him. Completely disgusted with the service never again. read more

Most of the time, Chinese buffet is like drinking too much. You regret it almost as soon as you finish, you swear you'll never do it again, and it's probably going to make you sick to your stomach. We hit the Sakura buffet for lunch today and couldn't have been happier! We haven't been in over a year (was subpar) and was pleasantly surprised. The sushi available was fresh and tasty. It would have been nice to have some soy sauce dipping containers, but that was quickly rectified with a small bowl. The lunch selections was limitless on the buffet. We went at 11:30 and everything was fresh and delicious. Traffic in the restaurant picked up around noon and it became rather busy. If you haven't been and given it a try, do it! read more

Sakura buffet is great! I was passing by the area on the way back to NYC and had a craving for all you can eat. Sakura buffet was able to fulfill my craving! They had crab legs, clams, great teriyaki chicken! Everything was fresh and tasty. They had bubble tea and hibachi grill as well! They do not do a fancy show but they cook it in that style with the meat on the iron cooking plate. They cook the meat the way you want it, be sure to leave a tip for their service! The damage for the meal was cheaper than my order at McDonalds( I like to splurge whenever I eat at McDonalds) Though I don't live in this area, I would definitely stop by again if I pass it and highly recommend eating here! read more

Had dinner tonight at Sakura. First time visiting as I am in town for business and craved Chinese. Initial reviews listed some poor criticisms but they were old- 2016-17. I went anyway as I was here and it had quite a few cars in the parking lot. Very pleased. Staff super friendly and professional. The food was all fresh and hot with many choices. Every thing was very tasty. I did not try the sushi bar but it looked good if like sushi. Place was clean and decorated nicely in traditional Chinese flair. Very good for a buffet. So my family and I walk into this place hoping to get some decent Chinese buffet food. I walked in with low expectations, but the place didn't even live up to those. We stood at the counter for a few minutes, then one of the waitresses walked over. However, she couldn't speak ANY English. It was impossible to communicate that we were supposed to pay first before sitting down. So finally the only guy who speaks English that works there walks over (we didn't even know he worked there). We pay and sit down to get our drink order and then go find some food. For vegetarians it's not so good. I was looking for a good vegetable and couldn't find much. Luckily, they re filled the green beans which weren't all that bad. For the one person in my family who eats seafood, it was okay. He tried a lot of the seafood and it was all sub par. We went for the first time for dinner Saturday afternoon about 4:30pm. The sign at the register said dinner starts at 3:30. The cost was a little over $25 for two of us. It is a large restaurant with plenty of booths and tables. The decor is a little dated but it was clean. We were surprised at the large crowd for the early dinner. We were promptly seated and the waitress brought our drinks immediately. There are several buffet tables with a wide assortment of the standard Chinese buffet items and other foods, as well as items that children would enjoy. There is also a sushi table, a salad bar, dessert table and ice cream freezer. Everything was hot and fresh and they kept all the items filled. The waitress was attentive and kept our drinks full and table clean. Not the best Chinese buffet we've ever been too but far from the worst. The price is right...My wife, 2 kids and I can pay about $35 and pig out...servers are quick..roomy space..many sushi combinations..on weekend evenings. i notice they have more clams and crab legs available..frog legs are nice option, (yeah like chicken) speaking of chicken, lots of different combos..daughter likes peanut chicken, sweet and sour and bourbon..they also have take-out...i loaded up 2 large containers, they weighed them and it came to about $15...went home and ate..saved money..still had enough left over for another meal..Nice read more
