The line can get backed up here. I was lucky to beat the rush but had to wait bit also. It's just two workers doing everything and when they are this good, it's easy to get backed up. Very good price to the size of the sandwich. Flavor profile is spot on

These are some amazing people that put a lot of love into everything they make. I enjoy the different specials they offer throughout the year, especially the mooncake for mid-autumn festival. I love their graphic of the person riding a dragon and gives the place a fun ambiance. I am not a huge fan of Vietnamese food but really wanted to try their peanut bowl. It was so delicious and such a good price for the portion you get. I also tried the taro egg rolls which I enjoyed. As well as the vietnamese iced coffee, which I didn't know what to expect but found to be quite delicious and addictive.

We got the curry chicken banh mi and it was amazing! I've never had a curry banh mi so this item instantly caught my attention. This shop is a food stall inside the food court with plenty of sitting area. The bahn mi is also HUGE. We shared one with two people and that was the perfect amount. However, if you are really hungry you can easily finish one yourself.

Ordered the Peanut Bowl after I saw an employee making one. So glad I tried it! The tofu had just the perfect bite and the combination of everything was delicious! Everything was fresh and tasty. I definitely want to come back and try more of their menu items. Can't wait!

After browsing our options at the food hall, my husband and I decided we wanted to try this spot. We tried the Marco Polo Banh Mi and Bao Bun. Both were delicious. The Bao Bun was unlike others I've had and I absolutely loved it. I'd happily go back for more.

Located in the center of Salt City Market you gotta say hi to Mamma Hai, something I have now done regularly. They have a small menu which usually has a choice of sandwiches or noodles, and some sides, such as taro rolls, or other specials which rotate. My go-to is the Bun Thit, a refreshing rice noodle and grilled pork salad with lettuce, herbs, and a sweet fish sauce dressing. The Bun Thit has been bright and light on hot CNY summer days, and a trip to someplace warmer on a cold days. As with most of their menu, there is a vegan version of Bun Thit available. Service is always friendly at Mamma's. Like the rest of the market you pay and then they let you know your food is ready with a buzzer.

Wanted to sample an item from here when visiting the market and decided on the Taro Egg Rolls and they were delicious! Great flavor and when I grabbed them to take back to my table, I asked if it came with a dipping sauce and the owner said no, bc it would take away from the flavor and it did not need anything at all. I wish I had one right now! Can't wait to go back and try more food from this place.

What a delight... Located in salt city market we received service with the hugest smile! They offer three varieties of bánh mì sandwiches - we opted for the vegetarian and would highly recommend it. Great pickled vegetables, a little bit of heat all on the perfect roll. In addition to the bang mi- they also offered fried spring rolls which were different than any we had before but really tasty. Takes a little bit of time to get your food once you order so use that opportunity to walk around and see what else the market has to offer

Delicious. Was on a road trip and didn't realize it was downtown and a bit harder to park. But, it was worth it. Fresh. Delicious. I did the pork noodle bowl. The pork was cooked beautifully and cut to order. None was left. So good!

Peanut Noodle Bowl and Vietnamese Coffee

The Peanut Noodle Bowl was SO yummy, I think they prepared the tofu perfectly according to flavor and texture. I'll definitely be back for more. The Vietnamese coffee was also good if you're looking for something sweet! The food was out quickly and the person who took my order was very friendly!

The flavors in the bun thit bowl are perfect. The smokiness from the pork comes through perfectly while the lightness from the mint and sauce make this dish refreshing and not too heavy. I also got the taro egg roll which was so wonderfully crisp! The staff were nice and helpful and my friend and I got out food pretty quick. My friend got the peanut noodle bowl and said it was delicious, not too heavy on the peanut butter so the noodles were still refreshing and delicious.

Vegan peanut noodles with tofu on the left Vegan pho on the right Super delicious

This is the best Pho I ever had. I've had meat based pho before and this place's Vegan pho is even better than that. The owners are so kind and nice! I have a splendid time every time I come here. It's my favorite spot at salt city market.

I've had some that come close, even in Vietnam, but I think the secret is in the auntie's homemade sauce and egg mayo, along with the bread and meats that are freshly prepared every day. Once they sell out, that's it for the day, so come early! This is a small, family-owned business, and the owners are some of the friendliest and most generous people you'll meet. What makes this place even more special is how much they care about their customers. Even after COVID, their bánh mì stayed at just $5 per sandwich for a while. The auntie was hesitant to raise prices because she worried about losing customers, even with the rising cost of everything. It was the customers themselves who encouraged her to charge more because the quality was absolutely worth it. It's definitely a small, hole-in-the-wall spot tucked into a corner, but trust me, it's worth the visit. The meat is always juicy, the vegetables are incredibly fresh, and are even grown in her own garden at home. You can really taste the love and care that goes into every sandwich. This place is more than just a bánh mì shop; it's a little piece of home that I've loved since childhood.

It was busy all three times I visited, but never seemed overwhelming. The staff is fast and efficient and the ambiance is straightforward, but enhanced by touches like a beautiful mural of a hand holding chopsticks reaching for a bowl of noodles. My first meal (party of three) we had A4. (Steamed Pork) Dumplings, A12. Steamed Buns, N4. Creamy Udon Noodle Soup, N6. Spicy Beef Noodle Soup (Bún Bò Huế), and N8. Wonton Noodle Soup. Each dish exceeded expectations. The dumplings were tender and flavorful and the steamed buns could be a meal themselves for light eaters. The soups were very substantial portions and provided complex, layered compositions of textures and flavors. The Thai tea was also very tasty. Ayumi provided friendly, attentive service and was a big help in explaining the menu to those in our party unfamiliar with Vietnamese cuisine. My second meal (a different party of three) we had A2. Fried Crab Rangoon (Hoành Thánh Chiên), A3. Summer Rolls, A5. Crispy Chicken Wings, A10. House special Bánh Mì, and N7. Tom Yum Noodle Soup (Bún Lẩu Thái). The Crab Rangoon actually tasted like crab, which was a first for me and a very pleasant surprise. The Summer Rolls were huge, about one-and-a-half the size served elsewhere and were very fresh, cold, and crisp. They were excellent. The Crispy Chicken Wings had a nice chicken flavor, but if you don't add a sauce, they might seem rather bland compared to wings elsewhere. The Báhn Mi was a delicious combination of opposites: warm and cold, rich and crunchy, savory meats and pâté and fresh veg; and the bread was perfect: crisp crust and spongy crumb. Finally, the Tom Yum Noodle Soup was also commendable. Vietnamese Noodle House excels at offering outstanding noodles in subtly flavored broths with delicious, fresh meats and vegetables. Riley was our server and she was very efficient, making sure our water glasses we were full and that we had everything we needed. My third visit was solo and I ordered my meal as takeaway and sat at the bar enjoying an iced Vietnamese coffee while I waited for my food. It was very busy because the North Syracuse location is closed on Mondays. Aili provided outstanding, friendly service despite being pulled in several directions at once, covering both tables and the bar. I had the N1. Special combo Beef Pho (Phở Bò, see picture) with all five meats, including tendon and tripe; Sticky Rice Pudding (Che khoai môn); and the aforementioned iced Vietnamese coffee. The pho was delicious. I had never had tripe not tendon before. Both seemed to be more about texture than flavor. The tripe was actually crunchy even though it wasn't fried and the tendon was very gelatinous, the exact opposite of what I expected. Neither was unpleasant, but having tried them, I have no need to have them again. The sticky rice pudding was a bit disappointing because it was so runny, but that might just be how that dessert is prepared everywhere. The flavor was very nice and it wasn't too sweet. If you like Asian cuisine, I strongly recommend Vietnamese Noodle House. Every dish (and I tried them all) was delicious and the service was uniformly excellent.

I try not to ever be the person showing up too close to closing time, but we were craving it and made the decision to go there and eat as fast as we could or else order to go to minimize being "those people". Well they were relatively busy for a Monday night, and yet they served us quickly and kindly as usual. We even said we know there's other groups here but we will be as fast as possible and they were very kind and patient with us regardless! As for the food- the lo mein my partner got was of course delicious and reliable. My hot pot was incredible, and with ridiculously generous portions of food. I did go there and it was great! But I found myself having one additional dinner time without plans, so I came here as well. Walking in, I noticed what appeared to be a common Asian Massage Parlor next door, yo uget to it via the entry way that bring you here as well. Kinda odd, but it didn't bother me. Walking into this restaurant, it's very nicely laid out and beautifully décor'd! The servers and staff spoke great English and were very helpful, especially when answering questions about their menu. I started with their Garlic Cucumbers, but I asked for them to be spicy and Wow, they did a GREAT job with them! They weren't very hot, but so much spiciness and flavor - I loved them! Next up was to get their cumin chicken. They do cumin style in all their proteins, which makes for some great options. I chose their basic fried rice to come with this. The fried rice and cumin chicken were both amazing... Perfectly spiced and loaded with flavor. There were several Szechuan peppercorns in the dish, which added to the aroma and flavor of the dish. Overall - I really like this dinner! While I do feel Jianghu is slightly better, this is amazing as well!

I do also wish they had more veggies in the dish as well but the ones that were in there were well cooked. It would have been nice if there was more eggplant and hopefully also some bamboo shoots as well. Finally, for dessert I had the warm chocolate cake.
