The eggplant items and spring roll I think were the best. We all got a large plate of salad which felt very generic with no Thai flavors. For my main, I chose the chicken in red curry. The curry was good, a bit mild though. The chicken itself was a little bit dryer than I was hoping for but flavor was good. I do also wish they had more veggies in the dish as well but the ones that were in there were well cooked. It would have been nice if there was more eggplant and hopefully also some bamboo shoots as well. Finally, for dessert I had the warm chocolate cake. The cake was tasty - basically just a chocolate lava cake. Additionally the ice cream it came with was a nice addition. All in all, a fine meal option in the area.

I started with their Garlic Cucumbers, but I asked for them to be spicy and Wow, they did a GREAT job with them! They weren't very hot, but so much spiciness and flavor - I loved them! Next up was to get their cumin chicken. They do cumin style in all their proteins, which makes for some great options. I chose their basic fried rice to come with this. The fried rice and cumin chicken were both amazing... Perfectly spiced and loaded with flavor. There were several Szechuan peppercorns in the dish, which added to the aroma and flavor of the dish. Overall - I really like this dinner! While I do feel Jianghu is slightly better, this is amazing as well!

The AYCE also comes with a couple caveats. You're limited to 10 pieces of sashimi and 10 pieces of sushi- you can get as many maki/hand rolls as you'd like. So keep that in mind. I've never had a wait at Firudo and the staff is attentive. It's very clearly a family run business, which I appreciate. As long as you don't go expecting Jiro dreams of sushi, I think you'll have a great meal.
