Summer Rolls (Gỏi Cuốn)
Raymond L.

While I often get takeout from here, the in-person dining experience is also very good. The staff are friendly and accommodating, with the ability to make many of the items gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, or to make other changes. The Camillus location has a better feel to the dining area than the North Syracuse location, but each one is nicer inside than one would expect from outside.

Stir fried chow fun

Overall, delicious. Fresh ingredients and wonderful flavor in the food. We stopped by for lunch on a rainy day and it was definitely the day for a hot bowl of pho. We were seated quickly which was a plus. Our server was very helpful with answering food ingredient questions but overall service was very slow and it wasn't easy to get her attention. When we finally could order we chose stir fried chow fun and pho. The stir fried chow fun was perfect. The pho had one of the most flavorful broths I've ever had. Unfortunately, due to ingredients used in their noodles I couldn't have them. So I asked for extra bean spouts instead. The pho came out as a bowl with a few sprouts thrown in. There was no extra plate of bean sprouts, jalapeños and Thai basil, which is standard with pho. It took a long time to flag down the server and then there was another long wait for the bean sprouts and Thai basil, by then the broth was cold, annoying. In the end she charged us extra for the bean sprouts and Thai basil, which were the standard amount you would get with your soup anywhere else. The prices here were reasonable but it was still kind of weird.

One of the best authentic Vietnamese restaurants in Syracuse. The pho is delicious with a rich, flavorful broth, and the summer rolls are fresh and perfectly light. They also have bubble tea, which is nice. Service is good, and the food comes out quickly. The space has plenty of seating, and it's always bustling with people, a great sign of its popularity. Definitely a go-to spot for Vietnamese food in the area.

I'll have to preface by saying Vietnamese isn't my favorite Asian cuisine but the House special bahn mi was the best sandwich I've had in recent memory. And only $9! Next time I'll get 2! Great baguette but definitely on the crispy side. Had the shrimp summer roll which was very good. Great peanut sauce. But next time I'll get 2 bahn mis.

fried dumplings

I placed a to go order but I was able to see the inside and it was clean and nothing too fancy. I was greeted and my food was ready on time. These dumplings are some of the best I have ever had. I loved the sauces to dip them in as well. I love pad thai and saw it on the menu so decided to give it a try. Typically a Thai dish not Vietnamese, it was good but definitely did not taste like what I am used to. I will have to go back and sit down and try out more of their menu.

I ventured outside the box this time and ordered something new... and actually have found my new fav soup here! :) The creamy udon noodle soup was fantastic. So flavorful and service was great as usual. This place is consistently amazing and provides delicious food. Can't go wrong here! I will continue to recommend this place to anyone who's looking for good food.

Wanted to try something different before going to the Movie Tavern in Camillus, and the Vietnamese Noodle House did not disappoint! For a Tuesday afternoon, there were quite a few customers and the single waitress did a great job managing everything! Since we had never been there, we asked her what she would recommend and took her up on her suggestions. I went with the Beef Pho and my husband had the Spicy Pho with pork. Both bowls had a flavorful broth that made you keep reaching for more. I said multiple times that this would be the meal I would want if I were sick. We also had pork bao buns as a starter and Vietnamese iced coffee, which was deliciously sweet. We will definitely be back!

Bomb vegan options, everything very fresh and tasty. Good portions and reasonably priced. Food comes out well flavored but not spicy hot, so if you are craving some hotness, I would ask them to kick it up a notch. I had the tofu banh mi at the restaurant for lunch and carried out noodles with veggies and vegetarian chicken for dinner. Definitely will be trying the rest of their vegan menu. Lots of drink options as well, I had a passion fruit juice, and they also have various teas and smoothies. Service was fast/attentive, and the place is clean and spacious.

Beef pho

My mom and I came in on a Wednesday noonish and there were several people seated but by the time we left it was packed! We were seated right away and ordered a pot of jasmine tea which was great. We ordered the fried dumplings and beef pho. The dumplings were perfectly cooked and crispy. The pho had levels of flavor and tasted like it was cooked for hours! I love pho and this was one of the best pho Ive ever had. Had plenty of noodles and bean sprouts. I asked for extra lime since thats what I like. Will definitely be back.

Beef pho, scraps from daikon cake, wonton soup

Few things provide me more comfort than their beef pho. Their broth, house soy sauce, and chili oil are culinary accomplishments that deserve all the praise! The rare beef pho and daikon radish cake are must-trys. I also recommend the pad Thai with pork (the chicken can often be dry) and the pork Bahn Mi. They're great about gluten free here.

Hot and Spicy Beef Noodles.. Such a depth of flavor!

The server was also the owner I believe and she was so friendly and attentive to all our needs while dining in. Started out with the pork eggroll and spring roll appetizers. The eggroll was not what I expected but didn't taste bad, I just preferred the spring roll. It had more flavor and veggies. Both very reasonably priced and came out piping hot from the kitchen with dipping sauce. I got the shaking beef entree which comes with white rice. There are chopsticks on the table but they brought me out a fork and spoon with my meal. What a great flavor on this dish! There are chopped onions, green peppers, and beef atop what seemed like a bed of seasoned cabbage. I thoroughly enjoyed it and had enough to bring some home for leftovers. My mother got the beef banh mi and loved how crisp the outside of the bun was with a soft interior. The veggies complemented the flavorful beef very well with a slight spicy kick from the jalapeno. I needed to try their thai tea so I got it to go and it came out promptly after ordering. Also delicious. I loved everything about this experience and look forward to trying more of the menu in the future.
