Bun Cha Gio (Egg Roll Noodle Salad). Very tasty!
    Elaina B.

Comforting bowls of soup and lighter rice vermicelli noodle options. They offer vegetarian/vegan options not captured on the menu yet, but as newer items posted as a note next to the front door menu. A very nice small business to support downtown. Good eats pho sure!

This is located in the former N13 noodle shop. I was ecstatic to hear that a Vietnamese place was opening in this area. There aren't a ton of Vietnamese options in upstate NY (especially considering I came from San Jose, CA where there are a ton of Vietnamese people/restaurants). This is a great addition to this college-town. The patrons here were mostly college students. I was surprised to see how tiny the interior was. I thought it'd be more of a traditional sit-down restaurant but there is definitely not a lot of space in there. There are two window tables that fit 2 people each. Then there is a tall chair area with a counter that seats around 5 people. Their menu includes items like spring rolls, egg rolls, pho, banh mi, bo kho and bun thit nuong. I thought it was interesting how they called it a salad because it isn't called that in most other Vietnamese restaurants. Yes, the noodles are served cold (this is typical) so that is where the term salad probably came from. I thought the meat was tender and nicely seasoned. The bowl had fewer vegetables than a traditional bun thit nuong bowl. It was mostly chopped lettuce and a few pieces of cucumber. The fish sauce had no chili peppers in it and was very mild in nuoc mam flavor (likely to accommodate the fish sauce naive population). The egg rolls were good but were around $5 for three. They weren't wrapped very tightly either. Food took longer than an average Vietnamese shop to be served but I saw that it was because there were only two people in the kitchen and only one cashier. The bun bowl had fried shallot and peanuts on top (so make sure to let them know if you have a peanut allergy). When I was in Vietnam, a woman on the street didn't believe me when I told her my friend had a peanut allergy. She said I was being silly. Peanut allergies aren't very common in Vietnam. I would have liked more cucumber, some mint, and more pickled daikon/carrots (do chua). The pho was good and had great flavor. It didn't come with a side of bean sprouts/vegetables. The bun bo hue was good but was made with pho noodles instead of the round noodle that's typically used for BBH. It also didn't have as much lemongrass flavor as I would have liked and it didn't come with the side of traditional vegetables (banana blossom, red cabbage). Their banh mi thit was an abomination. Banh mi is typically made with baguette bread and has pickled carrots and daikon inside, pate (optional), jalapeno, and cilantro. The banh mi thit they gave me (which was close to $11), was made with white sandwich bread and came with just meat and mayo. The lady didn't add carrot until after when I requested it. There was no daikon or cilantro. Banh mis cost $3.50-$7 bucks usually. This one was really expensive and was really not at all a banh mi. The meat also didn't have that charcoal flavor to it. So, I tried 5 dishes here. The only one I'd strongly recommend is the pho. Pho is definitely their best dish (despite there being no bean sprouts).

Delicious! So happy to see this business in Hamilton. I've found myself going at least once a week. The pho broth is beyond amazing - delicate and yet rich. Great variety of authentic dishes I've never seen offered at other pho places. Owners are super friendly !! Highly recommend

Chilly fall weather is the perfect complement for pho!

Cheap food, good food! Restaurant is a little small but it's most certainly worth it for the delicious pho.

The pork bao in particular had this beautiful char that added just the right smoky depth without overpowering the sweetness. Absolute standout. The ramen was exceptional. Rich, balanced, and clearly made with care. My tonkatsu was beautifully caramelized -- that golden crust giving way to tender, juicy pork -- while my girlfriend's chicken katsu was crispy, perfectly cooked, and somehow still light. No sogginess, no shortcuts -- just done right. The atmosphere strikes that sweet spot between cozy and modern, and the service was genuinely warm and attentive without hovering. One of my favorite touches? The large visual menu on the wall. For anyone who isn't super familiar with this style of cuisine, it makes ordering approachable and stress-free. Such a smart move. Yori House nails flavor, texture, presentation, and hospitality. Can't recommend it strongly enough -- we'll absolutely be back.

The menu is very interesting with everything Korean, Japanese and Thai inspired from fried rice to tacos to noodle dishes. Service was very good and though the restaurant is small, it is well appointed. We ordered edamame and a pork bun for appetizers. The edamame were served lightly salted and warm and the pork bun wonderful and flavorful. I highly recommend. For a main dish, I ordered the pad Thai with shrimp. The only complaint I have is that the dish was pretty salty. The shrimp were delicious and the portions for everything were generous. We ordered spicy fried rice to take home and I'm so glad we did. Sorry but no photo of the pork bun as we dove into it as soon as we got it.

Staff were very accommodating and even helped fix a table that was slightly wobbly. Server was nice and the ambience was pleasant in the dining area. Not too loud, and wasn't packed. Food: the food was very good. We started off with a couple drinks and plentiful amounts of breads. I ordered a simple craft beer and my partner had the winter margarita which was exceptional with great presentation. We ordered the whipped feta skillet for an appetizer and it was very good as I never had anything like this before. My main course consisted of the braised short ribs (exceptional by the way) and my partner ordered the ratatouille (exceptional as well). Presentation and flavor for both and outstanding. I appreciate the black slate plates which were a nice touch. I hope the pictures do justice because the food was very good. . As expensive this place is and with the newer and younger staff, they did appear knowledgeable in how to navigate the restaurant world. In my opinion. The 1 star reviews might not really be necessary for this establishment because you felt slighted a bit, so reader be wary of allowing other bad reviews Influence your choice on eating here. Check their rating history, and if it's typically 1 star reviews, maybe it's just them? Overall we felt it was a great experience, the ambience and fireplace were nice , food was very good overall! We would come back, everything seems to be going up in price now adays, so it wasn't "too" unreasonable overall. They do offer some rich history with old photos of neighboring towns which I thought was very cool to see the historic side of things.

Phenomenal food!…read more We're in Syracuse for a conference, and didn't want to spend a fortune for mediocre food at the conference hotel, so we set out to find a good local spot via Yelp. Su Su Dim Sum came up at the top of the list, so off we went. I ordered a small (pint) of hot and sour soup and lamb with scallions. My wife ordered tangerine beef, and then we ordered red bean paste steamed buns to go for breakfast tomorrow. The soup was thick, full of chunks of tofu, plenty of vegetables, a little less peppery and a little less pungent than we like, but still better than typical Chinese restaurant fare. A bowlful of fried noodles came on the side. A great start! My wife, a veterinarian, suspected that the lamb was actually beef, but that question aside, the lamb dish was delicious, with plenty of meat, chunks of bell pepper, and abundant scallions, in a delicious sauce. The star of the night was the tangerine beef, lightly breaded and perfectly fried, in a savory and slightly sour sauce. A few broccoli florets, a handful of tangerine segments, and a wonderful thick sauce completed the dish perfectly. We packed up the leftovers, collected the steamed buns, and headed back to the hotel. We grabbed some menus to give to fellow conference attendees when they ask where we went out to dinner.

We love dim sum so we looked up the local places that served it & found Su Su. The space is simple & I believe it may have once been a diner at one point in time. The staff tried their best as there were a fair amount of to-go orders & walk-ins. (As I said it was Valentine's Day) We decided to order a few different things. Each one was excellent. The flavors & temperature of each item were fantastic. I really enjoyed the pineapple fried rice. We'll certainly be going back to try a few more things!
