My review had to with customer service. Picked up my Door Dash order on March 18,2026 at 1:46PM. The place was empty . There were 2 employees one Asian girl and one Caucasian who sitting at the front with his laptop. Came in and I greeted them, "Hi, I'm here to pick up my order for ..." They both looked up at me, stared and said nothing , Asian girl handed me order just looked at me when I said "Thank you". Neither one smiled or said a peep but had a bored look on their face. Weird. Tasty new tea spot on the south side catacorner from the mall. Good variety of fruity drinks and appreciate the deals offered throughout the week. What brought me to write this review though, is the melon matcha latte. Honeydew and matcha was the combo I honestly never knew I needed. Staff is consistently friendly and attentive. I had an issue with the app that, when I asked staff about, was resolved by the next visit a few days later. read more

It was Wednesday afternoon when I decided to check out this tea spot. I hadn't tried it before, and with so many tea and boba places popping up, it's always fun to explore. Honestly, most of them are pretty forgettable, and since my all-time favorite closed down, I've been on the hunt for a new go-to. That's a tough act to follow, as my old spot was truly superb, chef's kiss kinda good! I always look for that one thing that really makes a place stand out. I popped in during the afternoon, and the first thing I heard was that they were out of boba. No biggie for me, as I'm more of a jelly fan anyway! I was actually teetering between the watermelon and the Honey Delight, but decided to go with the Honey Delight because the employee highly recommended it. And I have to say, it was genuinely good, but If I could do it again, I'd definitely ask for light sweetness next time. A bit t sweet for my taste.This place is a little bit out of my usual stomping grounds, but it's right there when I'm in the Eastridge area. It's definitely going to be my new go-to when I'm over there. That area has everything, and this would cool things off perfectly.It's a small, family-owned business, which I really appreciate and love to support. The store itself is cozy, and the parking situation is a little quirky getting back out in the right direction was a bit confusing, but that's probably just me and my internal GPS! The matcha here was very good. I'm usually very picky about matcha but this place seems to have ceremonial grade matcha and it is nice and strong. I tried the banana matcha latte and it was pretty good. It had a nice hint of banana which reminded me of laffy taffy. Staff was nice and they took time with their drinks. With this location after looking for a quick & nearby spot for some boba, this boba/milk tea spot, Fruitea, feels like a small hidden gem, that's cozy & tucked in the plaza located across the street from Oakridge Mall. The service from the staff was wonderful & a delight, they were very sweet to me, my friend & other customers too. Someone almost forgot their keys on one of the tables that customers can sit at & immediately took action, calling out to them so that they don't forget. They do have parking in front of this spot, especially since it's apart of the plaza, and there is a gender neutral restroom inside which absolutely does come in handy. As for what I ordered, I got myself the Oolong Milk Tea, substituting boba pearls with grass jelly instead, with regular sweetness & no ice. When it comes to trying anything new, I definitely keep in mind that everyone has different tastebuds, which leads me to the sweetness level here. For me personally, I prefer things a bit more on the sweeter side & believe that I could have gone a bit more sweeter with my drink. However, this was a pretty decent drink & the sweetness leaned more on the subtle side and it was pretty yummy! I think I would love to go back & give it another try, especially when there are many different drinks to try. Not only do they show the customer's favorites on their menu, but if you ask them personally, they were more than happy to share what they'd recommend & if you're not one to speak to them, they even have small Polaroids of the staff w/ what their favorite drinks are right next to their self ordering stand. read more
