I selected the Parmesan garlic wings, can I tell you they were the BEST parm/garlic wings I had ever had!!! they even had garlic/parm fries, which were delicious!!! I've eaten here before and everything is good. try the catfish too! the vibe at this spot is awesome, the music was unbelievable. LOVED everything about this bar. I did not expect to have this much fun on a Sunday! Believe me when I tell you, brunch life does not have to be an expensive, upscale experience for it to be magical. So let's start from the top: parking is a nightmare. Good luck finding a place to put your car on the street in the surrounding neighborhood. It might get frustrating but don't give up - the food is worth the struggle! Once you overcome the parking situation, look for the colorful signs and keep your ear to the music. Walking in you'll be greeted by a lovely lady named Koko and you'll know that you arrived. You can sit at the bar, at a table on the back wall, or have outback or a quaint patio seat. We decided to sit outside because Covid, but it was also a nice chill spot to have good conversation with friends. The music can be a little loud in the bar with the live DJ spinning later in the afternoon. Now for the food: order everything! If you're coming with a group be sure to try the shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, and don't skip the fried fish and shrimp plate. Bottomless mimosas are a must, and they're only $12 per person! Juice options include cranberry, pineapple lemonade, alongside the standard orange juice. They mimosas are pre-mixed, but they'll continue to bring pitcher after pitcher until you call it quits. Service was awful they didn't have half of the menu items . One hour for wings and they came out wrong. It was also hot not sure if the air was on. The owner was not concerned and offered zero resolution. She was happy a transaction was made and she said at least 1 hour wrong wings were good. They wasn't the right wings that was ordered but again more concerned that I have your money so what. please visit another establishment unless you enjoy no concerns for customer service. read more

This place has declined since I 1st came 2 years ago, they used to have amazingly strong drinks and GREAT wings! Management must have changed because it was very inconsistent this past Sunday. Wings were smaller and not as great as they once were. I don't understand why they have machines because there's never anything in them. It's like they use a blender behind the bar or something. Whatever they're serving these days is beyond horribly sweet. It's like they blend up a house mix and then just add whatever liquor you select based on your menu choice, it's not mixed in at all. The DJ was actually better than what they've had in the past. But all in all.....something has changed here, and not for the better. Also, the staff is not attentive at all, they spend most of their time standing behind the bar smoking hookah and playing on their phones. The bathrooms need SOAP AT ALL TIMES! Stop being cheap with dollar store soap bottles and fill the dispenser that's on the wall! There was also no ventilation so they had fans back there. The stools at the bar or horribly sized in comparison to the height of the bar, you feel like a kid because they sit so low. Just because you're located in a certain area, and cater to a certain demographic, that should not mean lack of service and quality. "We" gotta do better by "us". Excellent quality of food. Drinks a bit high price however they are tall and strong. I do pay more for drinks in higher end restaurants but still get more at Frozen Paradise so no real complain there. The owner/cook is phenomenal. The gumbo will definitely not disappoint! Great Hennessy wings and the Hennessy shrimp is fabulous. You can actually taste the Hennessy. The the waitresses are on point, they're awesome!!! So is the waiter, they're a great team! When I try a new spot these are things that I look for... *Good Parking *Drink Specials *Food/Food Specials *Atmosphere/Music *Customer Service "WHAT'S GOOD": I actually commend the customer service of the staff & bartender there, they did everything to welcome me and made me feel like they wanted my business. "WHAT'S BAD": *Atmosphere-For some reason in this little small place, they choose to "BLAST"the music so loud that your ears hurt, I mean you can't even hear the person literally sitting next to you. When music is that loud you can't really enjoy listening to it or conversation with anyone else in the joint. *Parking-It Sucks!! Much like on the Almeda side, you are going to have to find street parking, walk a few blocks or pay someone at one of the lots for a spot. *Drink Specials-On a Sunday this is "NOT"‍ the place you wanna be for good drink or find any drink specials for a Sunday Funday!! Every frozen drink was $14 dollars(WHY)?? Every other drink was $10 dollars (WHY)?? If you're looking for a Sunday Funday spot this it, not a huge spot but the owners make you feel welcomed when you come. The food is good and the drinks are amazing we normal get the Jay and Bay which is a nice strong drink, every third Sunday they have a live band which is a must. read more

Frozen Paradise was an experience. Little small place with a whole lot of culture! As soon as I stepped in I felt right at home. The female owner could blend in to any event as one of the people having fun, you'd never know until she told you. So imagine my surprise when she jumped behind the bar to make my first couple of drinks before the bartender had arrived. She was everywhere, behind the bar, setting up the Dj booth, and still made time to come and chat as friends and not as a business. Half of this review could go to just her and nothing else. She was that good. For food, I had the grilled chicken tenders tossed in a lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan sauce. The first order of tenders came out fried and before I could even say anything, the owner had noticed and was already fixing it. She was on top of everything! My first drink was an Incredible Hulk and she made that a really strong and lovely drink. Lol she was an experience in herself. The food came out amazing, and was delicious! The drinks were strong and delicious! It's a bit expensive, the food is regularly priced, but the drinks are a bit high, but all you need is a couple to get in a mood. Overall, it was a great time, the food and drinks were delicious and the owner is amazing, she's the biggest reason I'll be returning soon. read more

Completely unacceptable service. We came in as a party of 5. We were there over an hour and the waitress never took our order, wiped our table, or offered a glass of water. We asked her to order several times. The final time. She said it "would be awhile" because she was waiting for help. Yet she had time to smoke hookah and text several times. When we first walked in it seemed like a cool spot to chill out and grab some food, so we decided to give it a try. BIG MISTAKE! Raven our waitress was horrible to us and extremely unprofessional. I ordered the paradise fries only to be told 30 min later while my friends food is being brought out that they didn't have cheese and couldn't make it. I asked Raven since I wasn't told till 30 min later about my order can my new order be expedited? she said there's nothing she can do, and kept blaming the kitchen for her mistake. So I took a chance and ordered something else. Another 37 min passed and all Raven brought was my friends check then ran off. I then spoke to the manger to complain and she was just as horrible. She told me we shouldn't have came at the last minute oh well, mind you we got there around 7pm and they closed at 10pm. Extremely unprofessional! And then had the nerve to add their own gratuity to my friends bills! I really hate that there are black owned businesses treating their black customers that want to support them so poorly. Tonight was my first night patronizing this hidden gem after passing it frequently. Everything about this place was good. The food and drinks were excellent and the services was impeccable. I had the fried lobster with greens and red beans and rice. The daiquiris are comparable to Pappadeaux if not better. They were very tasty. Sunny was our bartender and she was awesome! Very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. The owner was there making sure everything and everyone was taken cared of. Tuesday is taco night and Wednesday is spoken words night. Never been the type of person to be over the top with complaints however, THIS establishment came at me ALL the way wrong . I have worked in customer service for years and never have I ever witnessed a leader let alone THE OWNER be extremely distasteful and disrespectful. I ordered a daiquiri and a shrimp basket from this establishment, immediately after taking one bite of the shrimp I was dissatisfied, so as any person would do I asked if I could EXCHANGE my shrimp for chicken , I did not ask for the meal to be taken off my ticket I only wanted something that I could enjoy. The bartender (very friendly btw), went to get the owner. And the first thing Ditty said to me was "well what's wrong with them", no introduction none of that (I later found out her name from an employee) So when I began to tell her the taste was not to my liking she goes "well we have been selling them all day and nobody else complained", she followed that comment up with "what you don't like shrimp" , and last but not least "that will be a waste of money to replace them". So after getting annoyed with going back and forth with her I was basically forced to keep that nasty ass shrimp. I understand it was Mother's Day however, don't talk to me as if I'm your child. The basket was all of $12 so I'm totally not understanding the huge inconvenience, as if I ordered a 20oz porter house steak. I'm not sure what type of customers they are used to dealing with but I expect to be treated with respect.
