PROS: The layout was nice, they had a big patio area outside and a lounge area for the VIP. People were able to play dominoes at their table and the bathroom was nicely decorated. My cousins and I came here on a Friday. The only special they had was $3 lamb chops but that was a good enough special for me lol. You could either get them dry or with the sauce and it was a 3 lamb chop minimum. I just ordered lamb chops and a side of loaded potatoes without the bacon. It did take a while due to how big our party was and the waitress saying the kitchen was backed up, but the lamb chops were pretty good. They weren't too small, it fulfilled me and the sauce on it was good too . The mashed potatoes were good too they tasted house made tbh. We sat outside and they had music playing and offered hookah if I'm not mistaken. Cool spot, especially for Happy Hour. We went on a Friday around 6:30 and was able to enjoy deals until 8pm and 10pm. They had hookah for $10.00, several apps 1/2 price and great drink specials. They even had lamb chops for $2.00. Food was good and we left feeling good and full. My only compliant is this $20 parking charge thing this place does. I adore Prospect Park. The wings are always on point. We tried their brunch, which was good as well. It's a lounge-type vibe, so customer service is okay, but if it gets packed, then it's a bit slow.  Parking is also bananas, so expect to pay. It's spacious inside, and they have a nice outdoor seating area.  They offer non-breaded versus breaded wings. I always go with the breaded. The prospect park wing sauce is a must! So I came out here from California with my friends to see the rodeo and more specifically the black heritage day event. Some of my friends heard about this place and we decided to pull up. They do have parking and it was between $40 to $80 depending if you want your car to be super close and valet service. Respectfully, they have these handsome African men that are in charge of parking. They do have a cover charge to get in and I believe it was $20 and you get a wristband. It was super packed but then again it was Saturday night. Everyone was dressed to kill. I saw so many beautiful ladies and men in their cowboy / cowgirl gear. Getting a table is kind of hard so I do suggest that you get there early if possible. They also do have police there inside as well. On the walls are plenty of flat screen televisions .They also have various types of music blaring loudly and people partying hard. They also have hookah and they do serve food and drinks We ordered drinks and appetizers but it took a long time for us to get our food. Maybe even more than 1 hour. Overall it was a good experience but not really for me but my friends enjoyed themselves. The food took a long time as I stated earlier. The crowd there is more like 20's to 40s and maybe very early 50s. I did see people celebrating their birthdays there and it was a total vibe. I've been here multiple times only because a friend loves their $5 shots. I really wanted to give this place a decent review before giving a poor review. But unfortunately the more I went the less I liked this place. The happy hour drink menu is decent, but beyond that, it's hit or miss. They frequently don't have items listed on the menu, and the slushy machine is almost always out of order. Their food availability is questionable.. many times, I hear, "Let me check if we have that." I tried to order seafood, but they didn't have it. So, I went with the happy hour wings 8 for $12. While they do offer a better deal on Wednesdays $12 for 8 wings doesn't really feel like a happy hour special. The wings were huge way too big for my liking. I gave them to my friend and even he left some on the plate because of their size. Another issue was the hookah pricing. Mondays are supposed to have a $10 hookah special, but we were charged $40. When we questioned it, they showed us a text saying the special was no longer available, despite it being clearly listed on the menu. That felt misleading. This place has potential but needs better organization and consistency. On the plus side, the servers are friendly, they have heaters for colder nights and valet/parking spaces available the bathrooms are somewhat clean. However, the dining area could use a deep clean. I had an extremely long day and had skipped lunch, so the 50 cent Wed wing special was right on time! Unashamedly, I ordered 20 wings (Caribbean Jerk, Hot Lemon Pepper, and Asian Zing - they were all lukewarm, but edible), seafood dip (the star of the show) AND fries (crispy and seasoned to perfection). Needless to say, I had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. I also ordered two of the half-priced favorite drinks: The Vaccine and the Greatest. They both could have used more alcohol, but was refreshing enough between my dip fulls of overloaded tortilla chips stacked with crab meat and shrimp. I orrived just before 5pm, thankfully, because parking was free at the time ($20 after 5pm) and there was plenty of seating, though the bar stools are very hard and uncomfortable. During this visit the waittresses were extremely kind and welcoming, and the playlist featured Drake in heavy rotation. It wasn't at all crowded. I order the breakfast burger it was funny that it didn't have a bun but sandwich bread it was good though maybe the meat needed a little bit more seasoning but it wasn't bland. Our server was wonderful. She seemed to have many tables, but when we flagged her down, she was attentive and helpful. The bar was very slow and the drinks were inconsistent (alcohol, color, taste, etc). I had to send my drink back because it tasted like juice and nothing like my first round. The hookah was really good and super easy to order via text. You can order a fruit head on the hookah, but it will be covered in tinfoil, so you may want to just go the traditional way to save a couple dollars. The food was okay. If you're looking for a spot with an amazing vibe, Prospect Park is it! I had so much fun here--the energy was everything. The host was hilarious and really made the experience even better. We sat at a bar height table with uncomfortable metal bar stools, I had to stand after a while sitting on those. We went to watch the NBA game and ended having drinks, hookah and a little food. Ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp and mozzarella sticks appetizers then my son had the burger with fries. The food was good, the fishbowl drinks were massive. The drinks were cute but didn't contain much alcohol. The waitress service was mediocre, it's really busy there so we were understanding. Whether I'm coming for weekend brunch, a rareee weeknight turn up, or on a holiday weekend, this place is down to give allll the vibes and music and not to mention some bomb ass food. The vibes are nice and the wings are good. The music and scenery give! They have many televisions to watch games , and there are indoor and outdoor options. Be prepared for long waits on busy/special days and by all means do not come desperately hungry. It's a lounge/nightlife scene, so things are moving 100 miles per hour. They will automatically charge you 20% gratuity, so servers are not motivated to give you the best service and response times. I despise auto-gratuity for non-large parties, but this is common. Also, be prepared to do some accounting. They don't split checks. So either someone is footing the bill, everyone is splitting the cost, or you're gonna be doing some good ole fashioned arithmetic. Overall, I use to work in a joint like this , so I came in with these expectations . If you're into urban, hip-hop, R&B vibes with Black and Brown folk, then you just have to do yourself the favor and mark this off your list. It's like a nightlife staple of Houston right now. Came on a Friday night. We just missed happy hour but we ordered food from the regular menu. The tacos were just ok. They could have used more seasoning and they were supposed to be topped with red cabbage but they just put shredded lettuce instead. Also, it would have been nice if the chips came with salsa. I would be served by a great bartender and they would disappear in the back and another bartender would be near with their attention on the phone instead of the patrons trying to get their attention. Absolutely horrible service!!!! A friend and I went to this establish yesterday to hear the Zydeco band ($10 cover). It wasnt a packed crowd and the band was performing inside so we decided to sit at the bar. The bartenders gave us the poorest service we have ever experienced from this place. We hadnt been here in years and the experience was so disappointed. The bartenders were not resourceful or attentive as they should have been to patrons, they stood around the bar doing nothing , talking to each other and hugging, and just overall not engaging with multiple patrons at the bar. My friend ordered a mixed drink off the menu that listed as $13 but was charged $14.00 for it on the receipt (this was not a service charge or gratuity charge) . The menus were nasty and sticky as well as the bar. I was trying to capture moments such as the tv with the game on, as well as the band to make a social media reel for my digital creating and I unknowingly captured several bartenders standing around not working and my empty wine glass that stayed empty about 25 mins (mind you I sat at the bar) until a male patron voluntarily assisted me with getting the girls attention to reorder another round. It seemed the female bartenders were more responsive and attentive to male patrons. As a retired bartender that served in the industry for over 10 years I was appalled at the quality of service. The bartenders could benefit from a detailed training program because what they premiered was not quality order of operation. My friend did share the experience with a manager on staff that seemed unphased his resolution of I'll serve ya'll next time was not heartfelt. It was a bit generic.
